    Outstanding holiday at Grand Palladium

This was our fourth visit to Grand Palladium, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The staff are consistently warm, friendly, and exceptionally professional, always going out of their way to be helpful. A standout this year was Daniel from the POP entertainment team. He brings incredible energy and presence to the resort, always popping up where the fun is. His afternoon line dancing lessons are a highlight, and the beach dancing to live music at night creates unforgettable memories. If something needs organizing, or fixing Daniel goes the extra mile. He even hit tennis balls with me early in the morning before he started work Housekeeping was outstanding. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The restaurant staff were equally impressive. Across all seven restaurants, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety to satisfy every palate. The beaches were beautifully maintained, adding to the overall relaxing and luxurious experience. In short, our stay was wonderful once again. Grand Palladium continues to deliver on all fronts. We will definitely be back!

Avoid this resort and chain. Horrible experience!

I will never set foot in a Grand Palladium Resort ever again. We had the unfortunate event of a death in the family just two days before leaving for the Grand Palladium in Jamaica. Five of the seven of us couldn’t travel, and also the funeral was held during the week. Expedia tried to help, but the management of this chain of hotels was unsympathetic to our situation. We had fully paid for a second room, and all we asked was if we could reschedule to come again and get even partial credit for the room we didn’t use. We would be paying for our first room again, so this seemed reasonable. We met every day with Expedia and the hotel manager, and each day they agreed that what we were requesting was fair and compassionate to our family during a difficult time. But each day, they kept saying come back tomorrow and we’ll work something out. All they did was waste our time and run out the clock until we left. They essentially lied to us to make it seemed like they cared when they actually did not intend to help us. They received 6 nights of a paid room by us, and most likely booked it to someone else. It’s all about the money. As far as the resort itself, you can find many others just as nice. The nightly entertainment was mediocre (except one show that they held on the beach with fire dancers). The breakfasts were good, but the restaurants were nothing special. The drinks were substandard, unless you specifically asked for certain ingredients and alcohol. The sunset beach on the far west end was decent. We took three excursions. The luminous waters were okay, but a long bus ride for 30 minutes in the water. The catamaran to Negril was outstanding, and probably the only highlight of the week. Our third excursion to Bob Marley’s house was terrible. They kept trying to get us to buy and smoke marijuana, and I learned nothing about his life or career in music. If you do make the bad decision to stay in a Grand Palladium, beware that right off the bat they will pull you into a “special invitation”, which is basically a time-share presentation. We hadn’t even been to our room when I figured this out. When I did, I said I wasn’t interested (plus the fact that we were dealing with a family tragedy and the unused room situation), but they insisted that we sit all the way through. I didn’t. Go somewhere else. There are many other fine resorts to choose from. People we talked with really liked the Riu and a number of resorts in Negril. This particular Grand Palladium is not close to anything. Had the management been more caring to our situation, we might have enjoyed some of the week, but as it is, we see that they are all about the money and very little about customer service.

Beautiful resort but average to below average customer service.

I want to start with the good and please go see my previous reviews so you know this is genuine honest review from an extremely well travelled individual. I tip and well, I am Canadian, easy going and understand the service industry. We stayed from January 10 to 17, 2026 in an Ocean Front Room in Building 16 room 1635. The resort itself was picturesque with beautiful grounds and a very large footprint so be sure to check the distance of your room to the amenities if you have any mobility challenges, we had no problem with walking. The well designed rooms had a king size bed, couch, chairs, balcony, shower and also whirlpool tubs. Our chambermaid was excellent as was the other service staff in this building. The resort was under half capacity which should be taken into account for some of the negatives and lack of customer service. I want to add I have never seen such a lack of effort towards Customer Service since I have travelled world wide. The food quality was average and I would say I enjoyed the Teppanyaki the most out of the 3 we tried (Italian, Steakhouse and Teppanyaki). The buffet was average with food temperatures being inconsistent. Restaurant reservations are done through the Palladium app but, if you are booking for more than occupants in your room (say 4 people in 2 rooms) you would visit reception/guest services. Staff were unenthused and actually reluctant to help you. Staff refused to look for reservations and when I found some on the App she said nope can't find it (note I needed 4 not 2) she pushed her chair away from the computer and said there was no availability and keep in mind this is half capacity. We went directly to the restaurant as advised to see if there was any cancellations and they played a cat and mouse game of "well maybe I can fit you in ..." and waited for money. I call this extortion. I tip and I tip well especially for great service but when a service is not performed and restaurant reservations are included I do not tip, this is bribery and for a resort half full .... not necessary!!!! Another experience, we were a very large group of 26 celebrating 2 birthdays. Our pre-arranged group dinner for the second last night was cancelled. We would not have even known if we did not double check. Manager exhibited zero customer service and basically suggested a couple of restaurants and to work with them!
