DONT book Wedding With Them!
Jamaica and Palladium Weddings - TERRIBLE communication! Just like others have commented - the communication is basically nonexistent. Should have been our first warning as well! But we put a deposit on wedding and paid for 10 rooms hoping our dream beach wedding would be beautiful. But then the Hurricane hit Jamaica! And as everyone knows the island was decimated - especially in that area of the island. So there is NO way we can have our wedding there! Everyone reasonable would agree with that! But the Palladium and weddings is NOT acting in good faith in giving us a hard time to simply move our wedding to another one of their locations. We aren't even asking to CANCEL even though we want to because we know they would hose us on the all the money paid already. But they are being very difficult and not wanting to move our reservation. I honestly do not even want to have the wedding through Palladium Weddings anymore. The pictures are all pretty - but the communication is just horrible and you can't get answers to questions and now this difficulty in helping us move our wedding! They have just not been a 5 star company to work with AT ALL!

Must do better.
Back to the Grand Pallidum Jamaica for the third time. Why oh why do Guest Services not respond to a request? Two months before the trip a request was sent to the hotel that we required a room with two beds, and not a settee/put-up bed. Had booked a pool view room and" lo and behold" we were given one bed with a pull out .After some time being told that there were no more rooms available. No way were their excuses acceptable and point blankly refused. Eventually a room was found on the ground floor with the required two beds. The hotel has changed some what especially the bedrooms to make it more modern The beds were very low and not as wide as previously. And as for the light switches, by the bedside, just have fun trying to get the right combination for whichever light is needed. Our biggest moan was that the beds had no mattress protector, even though reception agreed there should be. Eventually used a towel as a protector. Found the bed sheets very flimsy and had to ask for another one. And the pillows were two per bed and flat as a pancake .Why was there no soap hand pump by the sink? This seemed a cheap way to cut down on expenses. Yes there was a soap bar, but some of us do not use the same soap after toilet washing and then for our faces. YAK. The fridge was well replenished and if a different drink is required the drinks man is very obliging . Food became very repetitive after a while, but the amount and quality was good. Breakfast was yummy. Now for the hurricane- we were issued the night before with a goodie bag .Not so good. A very big thank you to the Staff that stay behind that we could all have a hot meal in the evening. What a marvelous sight the morning after the hurricane to see Guests along with ground staff helping to sweep up debris ,and even in the pool with nets ."Many hands, make light work" and this continued for some days. Yes there were some negative issues with the stay, but seeing how the staff, some of whom have lost every thing were still on site to make our stay as comfortable as before. Please front desk, put a smile on your faces to greet people. You are quite off putting But most of all the lack of providing the correct information. SENT ON A GOOSE CHASE TOO MANY TIMES. Sorry to say this is the last time of returning to this hotel again. A big thank you to Gavesha for her warmth and keeping our room clean and the drinks man. Room 1105

The bed
The bed mattress was horrible. My wife and I both had trouble sleeping and woke up when we did finally get to sleep tired and body aches.

Unsafe and chaotic during Hurricane Melissa — shocking mismanagement
I stayed at the Palladium Jamaica during Hurricane Melissa and was appalled by how poorly the situation was handled. I asked to move rooms because mine was just metres from the ocean, but the process was chaotic. The new room was missing basics — no pillows, bottled water, or coffee machine — and hadn’t been cleaned, given we were to be in this room for the duration of the hurricane and depite three times asking for water it was never forthcoming. Communication was terrible. Guests were told the whole island had no power or internet, which was untrue, while staff clearly used their phones. After the storm, they reopened the pool too early and glass was later found in it. Most facilities were closed, rooms uncleaned, yet guests were still charged over $350 USD per night to extend their stay. The worst part came when we were forced off a bus supposedly commissioned by Air Canada, left stranded for hours, and missed the emergency flight. We had to pay extra nights in Kingston. A truly distressing and unsafe experience. The Palladium chain urgently needs to review its hurricane response, communication, and duty of care to guests.
