Oct 28, 2025Very Disappointed- No Warning it was Under Construction
We had been here before so we were looking forward to returning. The lagoon area experienced a major sinkhole the last night of our stay. The smell from the fish and plants rotting in the hot sun was nauseating. Since it was a few years later we expected it to be repaired. Instead there was noisy construction as soon as you entered the lobby with tarps to the ceiling and wooden sheets blocking the views. The pool was closed so guests had to use the sister resort pool at the Palladium Colonial. So the pool was always crowded and finding 2 lounge chairs together challenging. The ocean had a lot of seaweed too. Sadly the ring and earring set I purchased at the Palladium Colonial was beautiful but the stone fell out of the ring within days of our return. In spite of many attempts to get the stone replaced I never heard back from them. Due to the construction blocking off major parts of the hotel grounds it was quite a distance to the buffet. And the food wasn’t as good as it was on our first trip there. We ended up eating most of our meals at the Colonial. The other disappointment was coming in after dinner one night to find the unit above us had leaked water into our room. I wiped out and broke my sandal strap upon entering. We had the mess cleaned up before anyone showed up an hour later. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The CHIC cabaret had some great dancers! And our room in spite of the water leak was beautiful.

Our favourite restaurant was portofino the staff were very attentive and helpful especially because we have allergies. Especially Jhonaton he was lovely.

Grand Paladium white sands , Cancun
Spent an amazing time with my wife and two kids at Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa in Cancun! 🌞 Everything was beyond expectations — beautiful beach, delicious food, friendly staff, and endless fun for the kids. Highly recommended for families looking for both relaxation and adventure.

An amazing holiday
I seriously don't know how to start this review but will begin by saying that if you walk in to this resort with an open heart it will very quickly be filled with love. The adult only secret pool is worth the visit.

Great pools
This is a fantastic looking resort with fantastic pools. Great service from most of the staff. Special shout out for the staff working the beach and pool areas always cleaning keeping everything tidy and clean in the baking sun ! Refurbishment work’s ongoing which Tui did not warn us about which did not cause our family any problems (noise etc) but did hear a few guests not very happy. Apparently going on until February 2026. Food in the Steak house and the Argentinian steak house was a let down. I may have just been unlucky with the steak the chef picked out. Other restaurants very good. Sports bar food and service excellent.
