    Horrible

We booked Sirenis in DR because we have stayed in Sirenis in Mexico a few times so thought we would be safe with the Sirenis brand, oh was we wrong. From start to finish the hotel and staff were terrible. Staff are greedy unhelpful and down right rude, everything they do they want money for, now baring in mind we paid good money to be there and the staff are actually paid to be there, it's a joke, even if you get yourself a drink they want you to tip them but only American dollars. The hotel is dirty, sunbeds you can't lay on on the beach, no service around the pool areas, guest with portable speakers play loud music, I have no issue with music round the pool but when you have say 3 different families all sitting next to each other playing different music at full blast it's a bit much, than urinating up a tree on the beach!!! even a sign that says no speakers around the pool so must be an issue but totally ignored by staff. Worst service is at the lobby bar I've never experienced anything like it, they don't even give you a chance to tip just ignore you for Spanish speaking guests waving money. If you are lucky enough to get someone to serve you and you don't tip first you will get a horribly made drink!!! Dining hall stinks food was terrible, keep hold of your cutlery as once someone actually comes to clear your table you won't get anymore!!! No spoons at this place at all so stir your hot drink with the end of your folk 🤷🏼‍♀️ I will say we enjoyed the bookable restaurants (but concierge's wanted tipping for this) the service in there was good and food edible. We booked with TUI and our TUI rep was absolutely amazing his name is Roodly he sorted out some issues we had with excursions we booked. I do highly recommend the excursion to reef explorer it was fantastic. Don't think we went into the reps office once and it wasn't full of people complaining from complaints around being stolen from to the general state of the hotel and people requesting moves with 1 couple we spoke to paying an extra £700 to be moved to different hotel. I think the last straw for me was on check out a woman behind the reception asked me for $10 for her and $5 for her friend, this was for ME returning my room key and towel cards 🤣 and that's front of house 🤷🏼‍♀️ Most positive thing about this place was the coffee shop staff in there are lovely and our TUI rep who was amazing apart from that Sirenis needs to take a good look at this hotel and make some drastic changes its an embrassment to the brand. Hotel should be down granded to a 3 star at most. TUI please take a look at what's happening in this hotel and stop selling it.

    Beautiful destination, disappointing hotel experience

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana – Honest Feedback from a 10-Night Stay We’ve just returned from a 10-night holiday in the Dominican Republic – a truly stunning destination with breathtaking beaches, vibrant culture, and unforgettable excursions. The highlight of our trip was exploring Saona Island – absolutely magical – followed closely by the snorkelling and coral restoration experience, both of which were top-tier. We stayed at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana, which is marketed as a 5-star resort. Unfortunately, we found it to be closer to a 3.5 or 4-star experience at best. 🔹 Service – This was the biggest letdown. Service in the restaurants was poor, with long waits for drinks and no attention to detail. We were expected to reuse the same cutlery for all three courses, and starters were often served without plates. Many drinks were served without straws, even when clearly needed. 🔹 Cleanliness – Just about average. Tables were often left with food remnants, and during “cleaning,” food was flicked onto the chairs. Room cleaning was minimal – mainly just beds being made. Sinks weren’t cleaned, shampoo wasn’t refilled, and on arrival, the floor hadn’t been swept. 🔹 Positives – The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and the evening entertainment was genuinely enjoyable, family friendly with a good variety. The setting and environment of the hotel itself are lovely, and well kept Feedback Pressure: On check-out, we were asked to complete a questionnaire – but the manager stood over us while we filled it in, urging us to rate the hotel a 9/10 and even suggesting specific staff names to list for ‘best service.’ This felt uncomfortable and raises concerns about how genuine some of the hotel’s reviews might be. On a previous visit to the Dominican, we stayed at Dreams La Romana, which is also listed as a 5-star resort – and it truly delivered 5-star service across the board. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and guest experience were miles ahead of Grand Sirenis. The Dominican Republic is a fantastic holiday destination, and I’d return in a heartbeat. But if you’re planning a trip, I’d highly recommend staying on the Caribbean side of the island and booking a resort like Dreams La Romana. The destination and excursions give this a 4 out of 5, but the hotel is a 3 out of 5

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Food, Unfriendly Staff.

I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience due to the number of serious issues at this hotel. Let’s start with the food: it was shockingly bad. The quality is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a resort. The variety is extremely limited — almost no fish options, mostly low-quality meat, and repetitive dishes every day. The buffet area is constantly dirty, and the tables are never set or cleaned properly between guests. The water served comes from large jugs that taste like tap water. They claim it’s filtered, but I highly doubt it. Staff attitude is another major issue. There’s plenty of staff around, but most are more interested in chatting with each other than helping guests. They are often rude or indifferent when approached. The service in general feels careless and unwelcoming. In terms of facilities, the resort is clearly neglected. There are not enough sun loungers for all guests — people are forced to stand around or lie on the ground. In the pool area, we even saw taped-up electric wires sticking out dangerously close to where children play. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe. Our room toilet was clogged after just two days, and the only on-site ATM was out of service during our stay. Overall, this hotel is far below the standard it promises. Poor food, rude staff make it a place I absolutely cannot recommend. I suggest looking elsewhere if you value comfort, service, and basic hygiene. This is not a 5 star resort!

    Raulin - mixology

Raulin kindly offered to make special Ron drinks for our family during dinner. Raulin sense of showmanship and mixology skills were second to none. He was attentive to our family and made speciality dragon fruit drinks for the kids with bubbles smoke!! They rated it 5/5! For adults a drink one for papi, Dominican version of an old fashioned (with aneno Ron) . Thank you very much for your attention! Pierre-Luc
