The hotel itself is a bit outdated however, the service makes up for it. Our butlers Roberto & Ernesto were extremely attentive and made our stay awesome. Shot out to the pool servers, Angel, Carlos and Jesus. Also, I believe his name is Rigo who went out of his way to professionally clean our sunglasses without us requesting for this service. Sometimes it’s just the little things that matter.

Great experience!!
Incredible prime location for this Hard Rock with beach access!! Check in was smooth and easy transaction. A big shout to our Legendary butlers Roberto and Ernesto as they were very accommodating with all our needs and restaurants reservations !! Also a shoutout Jesus out by the pool side as he had our drinks coming back to back!! We will definitely be back for more memorable vacation time with family and friends.

Our vacation made wonderful by Jessy!
We had the best time at the Hard Rock Cancun. The beach and pool were the best but what made it amazing was our fabulous butler, Jessy. She went out of her way to help my dad and daughter celebrate their birthdays and she always made sure we had the best spots at the pool and beach. Our favorite restaurant was the Isla Sur, followed by Zen. The steakhouse was our least favorite as that as where we had the most issues with our meals being wrong but you couldn’t beat the buffet. My daughter never wanted room service because she always wanted the buffet. During the day they have great activities at the pool including water aerobics, water spin, volleyball and fun things like music trivia. They also have great poolside food including a pizza oven and the do hamburgers, hot dogs, fries. It was great - but Jessy made it wonderful!

Stayed here for spring break. Frankly, it’s boring. The pool is nice. There is a quiet side and a loud side. Plenty of pool chairs. The beach is nice. The drinks are weak and the food is mediocre- but that’s standard for an all inclusive. The hotel lobby is small and dark. The staff tries to make things fun but it’s hard to do on such a boring property. The rooms are fine. I don’t get the giant bathtub in every room - it just takes up valuable space. There are nightly shows that are fun but we were in bed every night by 10 pm.

Apr 27, 2025Extremely Disappointed – Canceled & Mishandled Reservation, Poor Communication and Inadequate Compensation
Six months prior we booked a family vacation for March 2025 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, a trip we had been looking forward to for months. Of note, we have been to several HR hotels and have posted our positive thoughts. However, when we arrived at the Cancun Airport to meet our shuttle, we were shocked to be informed that our Riviera Maya reservation had been canceled without any prior notice. We were told we would instead be taken to the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun—a property we had not chosen, as we wanted to stay at the RM because we have read many positive reviews about it. Upon arrival at the Hard Rock Cancun, it was clear that the hotel staff had no idea how to handle our situation. We were left waiting for nearly four hours to get our rooms, only to find that no double beds were available, forcing me to sleep uncomfortably on a cot while my wife and son shared a king bed for our entire stay. Throughout our stay, we repeatedly attempted to resolve this issue with hotel management. We were eventually promised vouchers that could be used at any Caribbean Hard Rock Hotel as compensation. After extensive follow-up through calls and emails, we did finally receive vouchers—however, they are extremely restrictive, with extensive blackout dates that cover most of the times that anyone with kids can realistically travel, making them practically unusable. Is this done on purpose? We are extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, the poor handling of our reservation, and the completely inadequate resolution we received. This situation greatly impacted our family vacation experience, and the offered compensation does not come close to making up for the disruption, inconvenience, and frustration we endured. I hope that by sharing our experience, Hard Rock Hotels will recognize the seriousness of this situation and work with us to provide fair and meaningful compensation.
