  Great food and very nice people

  Wonderful 1 week stay. The people are so nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and neat. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and the food is unbelievably good. There is also plenty to do (bowling, rock climbing, water slides..... for a fee. We like Faro restaurant for our breakfast, where manager Maria and hostess Paola are just great and always with a smile. The waiters are jut incredibly nice and so friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things. Highly recommend it.

  Keep on Rockin'

  April 20th my family of four left to go on our first big family vacation. We returned on Monday, April the 28th and since then I have been trying to find the time to write a detailed review of our trip in general and our resort - The Hard Rock Riviera Maya, Mexico. I will preface by saying that everyone's experience will be different based on previous trips, other resorts you have stayed at, and expectations in general. This is an account of my opinion, mine and my family's experience at this resort. My family consists of my husband,.my self and our two boys ages 10 & 12. After all the reviews that I have read, videos that I've watched, advice that I had been given, I was anxious when arriving to Cancun airport. I'm sure like most things everyone has a different experience and I was being told tales of caution. However, when we arrived at Cancun airport, we had a perfectly calm and organized arrival which included going through immigration. It wasn't extremely chaotic, crazy or overwhelming. There were four flights that had arrived from Canada to Cancun at the same time so there were quite a number of travelers. However, the staff at the airport had the barriers set up and guided people through. There were a number of immigration officers working and I would say from the time we got in the lineup until we had passed through with our passports stamped was approximately 10 minutes. On the way out of the airport there were quite a number of locals trying to get your attention. Trying to get you to enlist them for transportation, offering you different things, etc... However, with a polite no thank you they did not harass at all. They completely left us alone after that. Our resort had provided us information for looking for our transport driver / company, including a picture of the uniform. Once going outside of the airport we were easily able to find our specific transportation company with a very friendly driver who had all of our information. We were then taken to our resort which was in the Riviera Maya section of Cancun and it was approximately an hour drive from the airport to the resort. Upon arrival to the Hard Rock Riviera Maya resort We immediately noticed the security and measures taken to keep people on the resort safe. Not once while on the resort did we ever feel unsafe. We were brought through the gates and checked in through security and then drove through the property to the blue Lobby of the Hard Rock (Hacienda Azul). There are two lobbies for the Hard Rock resort on the Hacienda side, the Blue which I mentioned, Hacienda Azul as well as the Red Lobby, Hacienda Rosa. Which one you will be assigned is mainly based on which building your room will be located in. I cannot comment on the adults only, 'Heaven' section of this resort, as we were there with our children and we did not go over to the heaven side at all. We arrived at the same time as a number of other guests, so the wait time to check into our room was a little long. It was approximately about a half an hour after arrival before we were able to check in, but once that was done we were taken to our room via a golf cart and the employee graciously helped us with our luggage and getting us into our room. The Rooms / Facilities - We found our room to be quite comfortable. We had a regular double room . For four people, this space is limited. Within your room you will have two double beds, drawers built into a wall with a cubby on top, a table, two very large chairs, a Jacuzzi, a closet, a coffee station with mini fridge underneath and then the bathroom. We didn't mind the limited space because we were only in our room to shower and sleep. The rooms may be a bit dated, but that being said we found our room to be kept very clean and the upkeep of this property, in its entirety, is exceptional. We noticed, almost daily, work being done on the resort without ever impeding our travels or being loud or annoying, buildings were constantly being painted, something was always being cleaned, gardening was always being done, there was a constant motion of employees working tirelessly throughout the property and the result of this can be seen in the upkeep, amenities, service and quality of the resort. The pools and chairs were cleaned every evening. There were always unlimited towels available ( they always smelled so fresh, like straight out of the dryer). The lobby's were pristine and smelled amazing! The grounds were beautifully groomed and kept incredibly clean and manicured. The Activities, Entertainment, Pools, Lagoons - There Is so much to do within the confines of this resort that you will never find time to do it all. This trip we were on a significant budget so we decided not to do any excursions. I'm, kind of, glad we didn't because we got to experience so much that the resort itself had to offer. You will find that the resort is divided into two main sections Red & Blue. Each have their own pools, buffets, restaurants, lobby's and attractions. After lunch the entertainment staff would put off games, music, foam / balloon parties in and around the pools on both sides. Always something for the kids to be involved in if they wanted to be. While there was always quieter areas to duck away to if you wanted it a little more low key. We absolutely loved the pools and how different they all were. The lagoons were phenomenal! The sand is soft and white, the water was clam , warm and there were even tropical fish to swim with and watch. There was a nightly show put off, all of which were amazingly entertaining and fun. Then after the main shows, each lobby would have something happening like karaoke, Elvis impersonator, silent disco, mariachi band the list can go on and on. There is an onsite Water Park - Rockaway Bay. The pictures and videos of this area do not do it justice. Our children (and ourselves) loved it here. There is a slide and splash pad for every age level. Combined with the fun, playful atmosphere, food truck, and bar you can easily spend an entire day here. Vibe city is a building directly next to the Water Park, which contains a trampoline park, jungle Jim / play area for kids of all ages, bowling alley, rock climbing and laser tag course. So many fun things to do on a rainy day or just to spend some time out of the sun. The Food - Incredible! For breakfast we normally would go to Isla buffet, we went to Toro for their breakfast buffet twice. They were pretty similar, Isla was closer to our building. The best waffles, pancakes and omelettes! Fresh fruit and mimosas every morning, How can you go wrong?! Lunches we normally grabbed something next to the pools. There were a few poolside buffets and we all loved the Pizzato with their stone pizza oven and your pizza is made to order right infront of you. Dinners / Supper - We tried Toro Steak house , Las Gallo's - Mexican, Zen - Habachi, Le petit Couchon - French, we attended a catered outside dinner and Fire show. We also availed of the room service on a couple of late night occasions. All of the food was simply delicious! We all loved everything we tried and my children actually tried and loved some very different food items in comparison to what they eat at home. We raved about the food every day we were there and we actually still talk about it now that we're home. We never had a wait to get into any of the restaurants, however, we were at each of them by 5:30 pm, if you wait until 6:00 you may experience a wait time. We would return here in a heartbeat! The staff, facilities, food, hospitality, atmosphere, activities for the entire family are phenomenal. The only complaint came when it was time to fly home, all of us wanted to stay. Hard Rock Riviera Maya You did NOT disappoint!!

  Best Destination Wedding/ Vacation spot

  We were at Hard Rock for a destination wedding. It was the best decision the bride and groom made after saying yes. The best wedding ever attended. Decoration, lighting and locations were perfect to have a dream wedding. I was surprised to get such a delicious Indian food on all the wedding events in Mexico. Beautiful views, awesome food, superb hospitality, amazing events, pools side bars nd DJs made our vacation. Definitely going back to Hard Rock Maya Riviera and will explore other Hard Rock Locations. There is no limit to which ur requests will be accommodated. You say something and the team will work their best to help you. Shout out to Vibe Manager Aline, for letting me play a DJ set at heaven’s pool side on my request.
