Fantastic resort to chill and experience the Caribbean Excellent staff. Plenty of food options and nightly entertainment. Fantastic time will return ❤️

Piece of paradise
We loved our holiday at Hawksbill. This is not a place for loud entertainment or beach parties. It’s a place to enjoy the beauty of this island in an uncluttered way! Being a small resort it never felt crowded or busy. You could walk on any one of the 4 amazing beaches in relative solitude at any time of the day. As most of the rooms are beachfront or within a very short walk of the beach then there is no issue with sun-beds as people don’t need to camp out all day on the beach. There is plenty of beach for everyone! The Infinity pool is incredible - just the best views. The staff were exceptional. Yes the service was good but what makes it great is that they are allowed to to take time with guests, to chat (if you want to) and the common factor is that they really care about the resort and therefore your happiness on holiday. All of them were just genuinely nice people! The highlight for us was the watersports which were included - as we don’t know how to sail ourselves one of the staff, Gerald took the time twice to take us out on the boat so we could experience seeing the island from the sea. There are also kayaks, stand up paddle boards and snorkelling equipment free of charge. All of these things are akin to any 5 star resort. The food is well prepared and whilst a lot less choice than other larger resorts it’s all delicious. Breakfast was particularly good - fresh smoothies and the egg station a highlight. Drinks were premium and the cocktails and bar staff were great. The rooms are simple and clean, lovely local toiletries and great working air con. The outdoor large porch is amazing. It’s all you need when you are are right on the beach - the view is your TV! All in all it made for the most relaxing weeks holiday I’ve ever had. I hope this resort doesn’t change stays small and unique. I can’t wait to go back.

Gorgeous 😍
Recently returned from a lovely, chilled stay here. Can’t fault it at all - even the torrential downpour mentioned in other reviews added to the experience (but I would add, do bring a brolly!) The hotel is in a gorgeous setting - the beaches and sunsets are stunning. It’s chilled - thankfully no music blasting. It’s not a party place if that’s your vibe. Though there is nightly entertainment. The staff are fab. Everyone is so helpful, cheerful and accommodating. Special shout out to David at Seagrapes. One thing that is worth mentioning is it’s quite a steep schlep up to the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner (though you can have lunch at Seagrapes on the beach). Worth factoring in if you have mobility issues. We were in a twin garden room, though we did have a bonus sea view. The room was huge, and the beds were super comfy. Yes, it’s not a 5 star resort but we were very comfortable there during our stay. No complaints at all about the food. It was varied, with no queues. I especially loved the lunchtime pasta station and breakfast smoothie station. 10/10 for both. And big up to Gerard for his boat skills on the Hobie. I’d happily return to Hawksbill and I don’t tend to go back to the same place!

Beautiful beaches and a resort with a relaxed atmosphere.
Perfect laid-back beach resort for those not looking for a wild party. All four beaches were lovely, there were ample lounge chairs at each location, including the beautiful pool. Although we didn’t have one of the newly renovated rooms, accommodations were comfortable and had a beautiful view. A few suggestions would be a few hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or swimsuits. The biggest problem we had were flies, wanting to join us for our meals, if they could provide the little whirly gig flyswatters for each table, it would be a big help; one guest actually brought their own. The food was not fancy, but certainly very nicely prepared and plentiful with options for all diets. Aside from the buffet items, there were freshly made eggs or waffles in the morning, a carving station for barbecue or fish for lunch and dinner. There was always a salad bar which included fresh fruit and cheeses at each meal. The evening entertainment was nice, the DJ does need to change up his playlist for his 2nd show of he week and maybe include more slow dances for older couples. I did read lots of reviews before booking that there is a lot of walking and stairs., it’s true! Our room was at the far end of the resort and most of the walk was not a problem, but to get to the dining room there are a couple flights of steps to be aware of. The people, staff and guests are all very friendly.

May 23, 2025Lovely hotel with a few buts..
Hawskbill has the most perfect location, with 4 beaches to choose from. Plenty of sun beds on the beach. The infinity pool is lovely with an amazing view across the main beach. But you have to be quick to reserve your place there in the morning and shade could be an issue in the afternoon. We stayed in a very quiet Ocean front room which, for us, was just right, even though we didn't have a chest of drawers! But we managed to find somewhere to put all our belongings. Perfect aircon and quiet fan were a real bonus. We too were affected by the tropical storm on Saturday evening ( the rain was torrential, even with our long experience of travelling to the Caribbean we have never experienced rain like it). Fortunately our room was watertight except for the floor in the bathroom and partly in the bedroom. It was a good job we had our flipflops. Sadly we were unable to get to dinner thar night because of the raging river of water outside our room. Overall it was a good holiday and we would recommend the Hawksbill for its friendly staff, good food and drink, very comfy beds and location. Just look past the fixtures and fittings, plumbing, uneven paths, dodgy stairs and long walks up-hill (1000 steps from our room to the restaurant). Be aware if you have a problem with mobility. Also don't rely on the room photos on the website, they are a bit out of date. Hopefully the ongoing tlc renovations will help to improve the experience for guests.
