Hotel is making some good updates, we have been going to the Hilton for 5 years now. Love the beach and the people are great. But have to say, the new Sunset Grill, Errol, our server ,had no personality, none, seemed like he didn't want to be there. First, we noticed our table had no bread plates when all the other tables did guess no one double checks their work, apps were ok, chicken was good, my girlfriend enjoyed that, twice baked wasn't edible, $70 for a 14oz steak, that's all I will say about that. Asparagus was good, drinks were good. We have been going to the Hilton for 5 yrs, can not recommend Sunset Grill, very disappointed. Just sad.

Jul 24, 2025The hotel is beautiful and the beach is great, but beware there are somethings you should know before booking. I booked two rooms and more than month out, I requested two beds in the room. However upon arrival I was told that they were sold out and one room was a king. We were in building 2 but different floors. I was on the 3rd floor and we kept getting a weird smell at certain times, but definitely in the mornings. Finally after a couple of nights of dealing with this I went to the front desk. I spoke to two different people and both said that they would send maintenance to the room, however nothing changed. On the day prior to leaving the smell was really bad, a sewage like smell. I went to the front desk again and I spoke to a manager who by the name of Elton who was great, he immediately offered a new room and a room credit of $100 and apologized for the inconvenience. It was a nice way to end our vacation, in a room that didn't smell like sewage and a partial view of the ocean. The night before checkout, after dinner I stopped by the front desk to get a copy of my room invoice as I had an early departure in the morning and wanted to make sure everything was correct. Well it wasn't. I booked with Costco and the booking stated a credit of $200 per room. When I checked in, I mentioned this and the person confirmed that the credit would be added. However at check out, the person said she didn't see anything and needed to check with her supervisor. The Supervisor (Rai) told me that there was no credit with the booking. I asked if he needed to see it, and pulled up the email on my phone, which clearly had the booking reference and clearly stated the details of the credit per room. The supervisor then told me to forward him the email, which I didn't understand why he needed it, but by this time I had been at the front desk for over 15 minutes, it was late and I just wanted to get to my room to pack, so I sent him the email. After another 5-10 minutes, the person who I originally spoke to said the credit was for one room only. Then eventually the supervisor, Rai came out of his office and confirmed that the credit was for each room. What I don't understand is why Hilton hotel would have a partnership with Costco and then try to not honor the deal. I spent thousands of dollars for a short stay at Hilton Aruba, and to have to spend so much time pleading my case is not OK. This issue should have been resolved the moment the supervisor saw the booking confirmation. I was made to feel as if I had done something wrong and the attitude from both the female staff member and the supervisor, felt very abrupt and off putting. On the upside, the beach is great, the staff at the beach and at breakfast were wonderful, especially Winnie at the beach bar.

Great Location - Need More Staff for Maintenance
The location is great! The layout is lovely. We did enjoy the pool and the beach. However, our rooms was not "cleaned" on a daily basis. The hallway outside the room had a bad odor. The bed was made but the room wasn't vacumed nor were the towels refreshed each day. The bathrooms by the pool were not maintained well throughout the day. The cushions on our chair poolside were torn at the zipper. All the staff were friendly and easy to work with. The free breakfast had a huge selection but would run out of things quickly and one had to ask to have things replaced (pancakes, fruit, etc.). I was told that they were short staffed. The Sunset Grille had a nice menu and our meals there were delicious. However, be aware that they automatically add a gratuity. Two very personal things: The music at the pool was far too loud and intruded on the peace and quiet of the beach and the second pool. The smell of cookig food was strong by the pool throughout the entire day.

Just perfect, the staff was amazing and friendly. Installations are renewed or process to so no complains at all. Yes there are two ongoing constructions but there was no interference with the activities or noise. (despite our room was project front). will definitely come back!!

Beautiful Resort
We stayed at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino in July 2025. The resort is beautiful, well-kept and the staff was helpful and friendly. This is in a great location located right on Palm Beach and directly across from restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go again.
