Terrible Service -wrong food
Hilton Koro Restaurant Denerau- ordered Meze to share for starter. Items missing from dish. Then main course no show after an hour. When we asked where it was staff just started talking to themselves. No one came to explain. Waited another 5 minutes and gave up. Paid for the starter and drinks and left. This was out 29th Wedding Anniversary dinner. Completely ruined our trip at the very end. Setting not as good as Sofitel.

Some issues
Stayed here for a week in August on an expensive package. The facilities are generally good. There are some exceptions. The gym is vey small and the one machine for weights was broken. The TV didn’t work. We complained some one attended and said it was a software problem. This was then repeated a number of times before it was repaired. We attended one buffet. There was lobster and other barbecued items. Worst barbecue I ever had. The meat was over cooked to the point it was inedible. We attended one of the other restaurants. Was better than the barbecue but was at the level of a school canteen. Overpriced poor value. It was strange as there is a bakery on the premises which was first class. Staff nice and most people seemed to enjoy themselves. It is also close to other places like the port so you can try other places. My issues probably relate to the nature of the deal we did. If you pay the general rate the location and staff would mean you enjoy it more

Relaxing and Well Appointed Resort
This place exceeded my expectations. We are not really resort people but we enjoyed this place more than expected. The resort is huge but very well organized. It's a few minutes walk to the room but was never a problem- except during a rainstorm when there were no buggies in sight. Check-in was very efficient and front desk staff couldn't have been more warm and friendly- especially Usa who checked us in and remembered my name afterwards. Excellent upgrade and Hilton status recognition. The room was again better than expected, in that it is a bit on the older side but very comfortable, clean and modern enough, and had a great oceanfront view and balconies. Housekeeping was a little hit and miss. One day they simply picked up a wet towel from the floor, folded it wet and put it back on the rack. Another day they took away the wet towels and didn't replace them, leaving us only one towel for all of us to share. Took several hours and calls to get them to bring additional towels. Some evenings there was turndown service with a nice surprise of a piece of chocolate, some evenings they never seemed to show up. The breakfast buffet was quite good, also better than I expected from my experience with other hotels in Fiji. Selection was generally good including some nice local options and some vegetarian choices and salads every day. For some reason, the steamed rice was terrible on several days, undercooked and dry. Hard to mess something like that up but some days it was inedible. I think they got the water and or cooking time wrong. We didn't have any other meals at the resort (prices are a but high and the menus didn't look that great- plus so many nice restaurants at the marina) but did have a couple of pretty good drinks at the bar. One thing we loved about F and B was the adults only restaurant. Nothing against kids but when we're not traveling with ours it's great to have a more peaceful environment. There were various activities listed but sometimes they never seemed to happen. Was not clear where to find them and when we asked it was difficult to get information - or they just didn't happen. There could be improvements in the activity organization and a better source of info. Most staff were super friendly and helpful, always greeting guests. One suggestion is to prevent buses from idling by the reception. Several times, full size buses sat for extended times right up next to the lobby, spewing diesel directly into the reception area full of guests and staff. Really not a good idea. They should be required to shut down or load at the other side of the cul de sac. Overall, in spite of these suggestions for improvement, this is a well run , quality resort in a great location. The ability to checkin for Fiji Airlines from the lobby is also very convenient.

Do not stay here
We were really looking forward to our stay at Hilton Fiji but sadly the experience fell far below expectations. • There was a rat inside our room, which was extremely unsettling and made us very uncomfortable. • The food quality was poor, with very few options available. • Breakfast was open-air, which meant there were lots of flies around the food. • The dining areas had many birds flying around, making it uncomfortable to eat. • Staff did not seem welcoming or attentive. When we raised concerns, it felt as though our problems were seen as an inconvenience rather than being taken seriously. Overall, this was not the standard of service or comfort we expected from Hilton, and we left feeling very let down. this was extremely disappointing and not what we would expect from a Hilton property. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this resort.
