Oct 31, 2025Great Day at Hilton Resort
Today we visited the Hilton Resort and Spa on Denaurau Island. We are on a Holland America cruise that is overnight in in Lautoka. We decide to purchase a day pass from the Hilton Resort. What a great idea. The cab ride from the port was $50 fijian dollars and it cost us $50 Fijian each for the day pass, $40 went toward food and beverage. We had such great service and wrre made very comfortable by the staff here at the resort. From Moses who greeted us and helped us find chaise lounges under an umbrella pool side to our wonderful waitress, Adi Marica, who helped us with food including her recommendations for a gluten free sandwich for my wife. Several other reviews talked about no lounge chairs or umbrellas on the beach. This was true for our stay as well, but there were more than enough umbrellas and chairs around the 5 large pool areas that was not an issue for us. The pool area is adjacent to the beach and we were able to easily enjoy the beach views and sounds from the pool deck. We even walked the beautiful beach and swung on one of the many swings down near the water's edge. We would highly recommend this property for cruise ship passengers or hotel guests as well. Have had nothing but happiness on this trip. Siteri our room attendant has been helpful in so many ways. Siteri has looked after us a the 10 days we have been here and could not have asked for anyone better.

Oct 26, 2025Beautiful resort with minor hiccups
The grounds were beautiful, well kept and nice pools. The food was good and staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable & spacious. The downfall; WiFi did not work well in the room which was crucial for us. Our room phone did not work our entire stay which was frustrating trying to contact the front desk since we were so far from it. The water pressure was so slow that it barely turned on the last night. We wanted to order room service while it was raining hard but it the QR code said it was not available. Again, we couldn’t call the front desk to confirm. The ocean water is not beautiful.

Oct 25, 2025Terrible service and no ability to keep their word
Booked a 2pm check in. Arrived to 33 degrees with a baby in thermals after a very long flight from a much colder place. Told that they were refusing to honor the agreed early check in that they had previously confirmed. They also said we had to wait hours for a much later check in than their hotel price stipulates as they were running late. Refused to discount room based on reduced hours of availability vs the advertised times. Refused to store our bags. Left digging outside in the heat in hot clothes with an upset baby after long travel and still no sign of when we might get a room. Total joke of a place.

Highly recommended hotel venue
A very good experience staying here for a week. Three restaurants for choice and attention to gluten free options for coeliacs. The adults only pool was great and an important addition.
