Jul 29, 2025Very enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend as a base in Kauai.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful open plan lobby. Very friendly staff and the room was perfect with great views of the sea. Loved Mamahunes bar for a cocktail. Pool is a good size and great access to the beach. Would have been lovely if there was some music or entertainment in the evenings.

We picked this hotel because it was centrally located on the island. There's a beach within a short walking distance and a lagoon which was perfect for our small children. During our stay we chose not to utilize the pool or eat at any of the restaurants on site. No complaints on our room, it was quite adequate for what we were looking for.

Jul 19, 2025Hotel needs some updating but wasn’t awful. Room had a musty smell. The beach was a short walk. The most disappointing part was that a few items were left in the room and the cleaning staff denied seeing them. These items never left our hotel room and I know for certain they were left behind.

Pleasant three-night stay for family of four
We were on the ground floor facing the smaller pool. The kids loved Lydgate beach which was a short walk from our room. Prior to our arrival, the negative reviews gave cause for concern. But the room was clean (not a bug in sight) and there was always ample parking and towels even though the hotel was 100% sold out. The property could use a little TLC but nowhere near the extreme sentiment you see in some of these highly subjective reviews. It seems some travelers are expecting a Vacation Club experience from a hotel - it's a Hilton Garden Inn folks!

DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES. This place is a dump that needs to be renovated. Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this property. It desperately needs to be updated. It was so dirty and smelly that when we got there we started searching for a new hotel. There were ants in the room, it was moldy, the AC didn't work well, there was no customer service, there were never enough pool or bathroom towels clean for them to hand out. When I complained, the removed the resort fee... GEE THANKS! They told me that the room next to use complained about ants too. The pool was in shambles. The only nice part of this was the lobby.
