My actual rating is 4.5 stars but you can't give 1/2 star. Couple visited in July 2025 Overall experience was amazing, everyone was extremely nice and helpful when needed. The room was clean and very nice, I applaud them for continuing to clean rooms everyday with no additional charge as this used to be the standard but now is a faint memory for most resorts so thanks for pampering me and not making me work on vacation! Resort is a nice size and although there were children during our stay it felt like more of an adult vibe which we liked but some people may prefer a more kid friendly atmosphere. Not a whole lot to do on the resort but you can rent equipment for water activities and horseback riding on the beach next to the resort. The infinity pools and hot tub are great with absolutely stunning views! I liked the fact that the hot tub was adults only, water could have been hotter but it was still very nice! And pools are open 24/7, we've been to 4 different parts of Mexico and never experienced this, amazing!!! Nice variety of restaurants and the food was delicious in every one! Only downside is the cost and one of the restaurants not being open everyday. All in all expensive even for a resort but the food is really good. Cost (deduction of 1/2 point) 1. The cost for food and drinks are very expensive even for a resort, for example $30 tacos and margarita $21 with well alcohol. 2. A massage is about $175 (includes automatic fees or gratuity) for less than an hour, no way LOL 3. Cost for renting beach & pool Palapa's $90-$380, I just waited around and was able to get a good seat everyday. Even though the costs are high the benefits far out weigh them. Thank you Hilton Los Cabos for making our 1st visit to Los Cabos amazing, we will be back!

Our expectations weren’t met
We had high hopes for our 5 night stay, but unfortunately, we found our time here to be inconsistent in terms of service and amenities. On our very first day we ordered a vegetarian pizza and I specified several times that we don’t want any meat. It came with ham, so we requested a replacement which had a stowaway piece of pepperoni. The waiter assured me it was a tomato instead of accepting that it was meat. The pizza wasn’t even removed from our bill despite it being made incorrectly twice. The so-called Altamar experience, in my opinion, is not worth it - you aren’t really afforded much for it, and it doesn’t ensure better service. As a parent of young kids, I would flag that the kids pool isn’t particularly shallow, I believe it’s 4ft. The property itself is beautiful, but I would caution against paying for a junior suite, it’s literally just a regular hotel room, it didn’t feel like a suite at all.

We absolutely loved our stay in an AltaMar Jr. Suite and appreciated its additional perks. The breakfast buffet is fantastic as is dinner at Vela where Diego and Eduardo provided outstanding service, as did Mgr Jorge with his recommendations. We are beach people and enjoyed the warm water daily and the fact that a lifeguard was on site. How wonderful to be served popsicles, smoothie of the day and frozen grapes by Christian each afternoon. The staff is amazing and you can tell they are glad to be part of the Hilton Los Cabos team. We are already planning a return trip! Do not hesitate to stay here...just go!!

Beautiful property
Beautiful property and awesome service. The happy hour drinks with chips & guac delivered each day to your room is a really nice touch. We have stayed here twice and have not been disappointed. We also did a spa day with massages and those were glorious as well. We saw a bunch of whales right off the coast - better than a whale watching boat! Dinner at El Fallon was really good but the whole champagne upsell at the beginning is a bit over the top. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Stay Overall, But Dining Isn’t Kid-Friendly
We had a wonderful time at Hilton Los Cabos! The food was excellent, our room was spacious and clean, and the service was friendly and consistent throughout our stay. The pools were beautiful, and we especially appreciated the kids club — the ladies who work there were so sweet, and my 4-year-old absolutely loved it. We purchased the package that included all kids' meals, which was super convenient for our family (we have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old). That said, I was surprised by how unprepared the restaurants were to accommodate young children, especially since the resort markets itself as family-friendly. There are only a few dining options on property, and none of them felt welcoming for little ones. I had to ask at every meal for plastic cups, and they often ended up giving me a coffee cup instead. They didn’t have plastic plates either — the best they could offer was a to-go container. Each table was set with glassware, breakable plates, and full silverware, which I had to clear myself to avoid accidents. It would make a big difference if the staff recognized when families with young kids are seated and proactively provided kid-appropriate tableware. Little touches like that go a long way in making a family vacation feel more relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, we had a great trip and would return, but I hope the dining experience improves to better reflect the hotel’s family-friendly promise.
