Beautiful hotel, clean and comfortable. Had a beautiful room and view. Bathroom was clean and spacious. We ate and 3 of the restaurants. Vela was Mediterranean tasty and aesthetically pleasing. The pasta was made fresh and lots of flavors in the 2 dishes we ordered. I will post pictures Mio sushi. We ordered the salmon sushi bowl and it was amazing. Stotol Bar had tasty food. Pizza and the hamburger were delicious We had breakfast every morning at Talavera it’s a buffet and had lots to choose from, American and Mexican choices All the people that worked here are kind and pleasant and happy to be there. The only thing that was a bit shocking is the cost of the wine and alcohol. 1 glass was 17 to 25 dollars. US This is our 3 rd time staying here and we will come back

Oct 24, 2025Modern classic resort with good vibes
This is an excellent resort hotel, operating at a high standard of friendliness and service, clean and classic with most everything you want in amenities. We had an Altamar room and it was well worth it, from the top floor (6th) room with a great ocean view, to the excellent free breakfast buffet, to the free stocked minibar, to the airport transfers, to the extra time in the massage! The location on the touristic corridor may seem a bit isolated if you want to party but we used Ubers to get around and found it convenient, it's about halfway between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, which will be much easier once they finish the highway construction near San Jose on the way to the airport. Development is so intense all along the coast that we liked that it felt a bit more apart than others, unlike the Cape for example which feels very crowded. The little protected beach is a real benefit if you actually want to swim, and there are even some fish if you want to snorkel for an hour! The food was very good without exception and we enjoyed a fun taco Tuesday party outside, it felt like a welcome luau in a way. All in all it seemed like good value and we greatly enjoyed our time there.

Always feels like home away from home due to excellent staff
I have been coming to this property on a regular basis for over 20 years. Having spent the past five days with my young adult daughters and friends, my visit once again confirmed why we always choose this property. THE STAFF. Diego, Arturo, Daniel, J. Carlos, for example, have long tenures at the property and as always, delivery personalized and exceptional hospitality. On this most recent trip, however, I encountered staff members who were "newer"(at least to me) and this is why I want to write this review. Carlos Luna went above and beyond to ensure all aspects of our stay were coordinated and delivered excellent service at every turn and anticipated and potential hiccups for our party of six. Emil was exceedingly helpful, accommodating and pleasant. Hugo delivered a fantastic margarita class, which wasn't just about drinking a margarita, which of course, we did :) However, his knowledge about many aspects of tequila, the history of the region and clarity of purpose he took in conducting the class was impressive. I highly recommend taking this class if you stay at this property. For context, we live in the Napa Valley, make wine , host tastings, etc and are picky about such things and he was excellent. Our experience with their longer tenured staff was exactly why we return time and time again, but it was also heartening to see newer staff uphold the same consistency of service that personalized without being obnoxious or overbearing and strikes the perfect balance. Well done.

Wonderful Resort!
We just did our first Costco Travel Trip to the Hilton Los Cabo’s Mexico. We had a great trip. We upgraded to the Altamar package. Our room was stocked daily with beer water, small snacks and beverages. We had breakfast included ($12.00 tip for two) so we combined eating breakfast and lunch most days. The food is rather expensive but well worth it! Everyone at the Hilton was Extremely and helpful. Thanks to Elena Macedonia for great omelets. Shout out to waiters J. Carlos and Alejandro Benita at Talavero for great service. Also Jorte was a great waiter along with Miguel and Mario. We took a side trip to Flora Farm for dinner one night. We took a cab for $100. He waited at and took us home after dinner. It was so wonderful, and magical. If you go on a Tuesday or Saturday get the fried chicken . Music was great and service excellent. This was a great trip. Go early so you can walk around the farm with shops, ponds, produce, turtles and other wildlife.

A very good hotel with great service
There were many wonderful things about this Hilton hotel; let's start with the employees. Everyone we interacted with, from housekeeping to the front desk staff, the concierges, bell hops, pool and restaurant staff were all professional and helpful. Our room was very spacious, and housekeeping did an outstanding job. The pool area was well maintained and the pool temperature was great. The gym, though not that large, was clean, well maintained and all the workout equipment worked fine. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! The coffee was excellent, 3 choices of juices everyday. You could get fresh fruit, eggs or omelets as well as numerous Mexican favorites and other dishes like hash browns or sausages that were available in front of the egg station. My only downgrade there was that the chafing containers that had the side dishes were never very warm, in fact a couple of times I had to tell our waiter that they need to make sure they dishes are warmer; no one likes to eat cold hash browns or enchiladas for breakfast. The one thing I was surprised at and not to happy about the was the $12.00 (U.S) service charge we had to pay everyday for breakfast. This isn't about the actual cost. $12.00 total for two people for a great breakfast is nothing, but when you are told that your breakfast was free with your hotel package you do not expect a bill for it. This issue should be address with management on how they present the cost/surcharges for everything when you are booking your hotel stay. The one issue we had was the lack for available restaurants within the hotel for our stay. We ended going to town almost everyday for dinner since our choices at the hotel were limited. Some of the issues I believe is that they were seasonal or only available on certain days. If you are staying here (especially if you are doing all-inclusive) I would highly recommend that you find out which restaurants will be open/available during your stay before you book. We went at an off-season time and this could be an issue when this hotel is packed during high season. Overall it was a great stay!
