Good budget all inclusive
It was our first time staying in Puerto Vallarta, and we chose this resort based on the pictures and some of the reviews we read on Sunwing's website. The hotel does not match the pictures. It is run down in places, and there was a missing piece of the wall in our bathroom. The housekeeping came twice in our 7 day stay and would come around 7pm, when we were told they would come by before 5pm. We had to ask the concierge twice to have the fridge in our room replaced because it did not work. We had warm water for the first two days. You see maintenance pushing carts around all day, and I have no idea what they are fixing because it looks the same. The food at the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all had a wide variety. The quesadillas at lunch were my favorite, and I wish they were available every day. I was looking forward to having guacamole and pico de galo every day that does not exist at the buffets as a heads up. There is a lot of seafood and shellfish at the buffets. Puerto Vallarta is a fishing city so it is fresh. If you have a seafood/shellfish allergy, there are still other options to choose from. The upside to the resort is that all of the Al a carte restaurants are included! There are many restaurants to choose from. The restaurants offer a variety of food options and are all delicious. We spent most of our time on the Hacienda side of the resort as it is for adults only. This side has the swim up bar. Children are not allowed in this pool, but they are still there. The Krystal Grand pool is child friendly and is super loud! If you have no children, go to the Hacienda side. If we had to stay here again, we would pay the extra to stay on the Hacienda side of the resort.

Worst birthday ever
am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at the Krystal Grand Resort in Puerto Vallarta from July 23 to July 26. What was meant to be a relaxing birthday vacation turned into a series of unacceptable inconveniences and poor service that completely ruined my experience. Upon arrival, the first room had bugs, and the phone did not work, preventing us from easily contacting the front desk for assistance. We were moved to a second room, only to discover that the air conditioning did not work, and the shower was non-functional. When we informed the staff, we were told to wait 40 minutes for a third room or to shower in a dirty room—both options were unacceptable, especially as we had dinner reservations at 9:00 PM that we ultimately missed due to the delays and inconvenience. A manager apologized and attempted to make amends by offering to: Send a complimentary bottle of wine Move our dinner reservation to 10:00 PM However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed they close at 10:00 PM, so no dinner was available. This was not only frustrating—it was deeply upsetting, as this night was meant to celebrate my birthday. After walking back to the front desk yet again and requesting further help, we were met with an unaccommodating attitude. We were left with only one dining option: room service. We had not eaten since lunch, and after waiting over an hour, we were told the food had been mistakenly delivered to our previous room. When the food finally arrived, it was the wrong order. We did not receive the correct meal until nearly 2:00 AM. This was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever encountered. The lack of preparation, communication, and professionalism displayed throughout our stay was unacceptable. A birthday trip I was excited for turned into a stressful and exhausting experience.

Excellent Service
Overall very good experience for our first all inclusive. The staff here are humble and kind hearted especially Ivan and Geraldo who provided excellent service.

Installation’s are great, also client services are some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Personal favorite is the food and the pools. Darian’s the best of all of them.

Amazing experience for young adults!
Our stay was 1000/10, perfect experience. One staff member Miguel & his team (about 5 others) at the breakfast buffet in particular went above and beyond to add even more core memories & laughs to our trip, probably the best food service I’ve had in all my 22 years. What an amazing hotel with amazing people. Please give this team a raise for a job very well done. This was our first trip without our parents but we felt really at home here!
