I had a great time here!! the staff was amazing, specifically Wilian, Antonio, Daniel and Louis. The place was clean, fun, and the new lobby bar is a great addition! Karaoke night, aquafit and the fire show were my favourite entertainment activities. The poke bar was my favourite place to eat. The pool on the Krystal Grand side was lively and full of entertainment during the day. The shows in the evening were held here. But if I wanted to get to bed early the noise didn’t travel to my room. I found the layout a little confusing at first but once you get used to it, it’s not so bad! Overall I had a great time, the price was a little expensive compared to my other trips to Mexico but it was also peak season and k booked 4 days before leaving so that was to be expected.

Dec 21, 2025NOT a 5-Star Resort – Misleading Advertising & Unacceptable Conditions
I am currently staying at Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive, and this review comes from someone who has traveled to resorts across Mexico for over 20 years, including many true 5-star properties. This hotel does not meet 5-star standards in any way. Anyone familiar with real 5-star resorts will immediately recognize that this rating is misleading. I will be following up once I return home, including how Sunwing continues to advertise this property as a 5-star resort. On our first night, we were placed in a room sold as “garden view”, yet it faced a wall with active construction. There was no garden whatsoever. In addition:Sink had issues Shower drain was clogged Air conditioning stopped working around 12:00 AM The night manager apologized and promised we would be moved the next day to a complimentary open-view room. Broken Promises & Worsening Conditions The next day, we were moved — but not to an open-view room, despite the promise. We were told no rooms were available. Then the biggest issue began. SEWAGE DRAINAGE SMELL A strong, horrible, unhealthy sewage smell enters the room intermittently. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a property claiming to be 5-star. We complained multiple times. Instead of fixing the issue, staff attempted to blame us, saying it was because the AC was on while the window was open. This explanation is unreasonable. We keep the window open because the AC is noisy and the sewage smell is unbearable. Several nights into our stay, this problem continues. We now do not even use the AC — the window stays open just to make the room livable. If you are booking based on a 5-star filter, this is FALSE INFORMATION. Not a 5-star resort Not even a comfortable resort, Poor maintenance, broken promises, and unacceptable hygiene issues I will never return to this resort and strongly recommend experienced travelers choose elsewhere.

Relaxing resort
Stayed at the Hacienda for a week in Dec 2025. It is attached to and behind the Krystal Grand which is on the ocean. You have access to all amenities at the Krystal Grand but not Vice versa. The Hacienda is basically an adults only resort with stunning grounds and an immaculate pool area. Breakfast fabulous at el Rincon. Server Manuel always kept our coffee cups full. He went above and beyond to accommodate us everyday of our holiday. Buffet at Krystal Grand hit and miss. 10 minute taxi or about an hour beach walk to Malecon for restaurants and shopping. Outdoor mall 5 min walk south, flea market 2min walk north at marina.

Our stay was good Hugo at reception was a great help and very friendly and willing to help however he could. Our room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful
