Jun 04, 2025Hidden Fees and No Ice
The hotel itself is a bit outdated. But the location is nice and right on the water. What I am frustrated about is that a week after our stay we were charged $125 for amenities without being advised of this charge. After already paying almost $400 a night, this additional charge was added without my knowledge. Not a single ice machine in the entire building worked, no continental breakfast and they expected us to purchase their drinks if we were at the pool. I will not stay here again.

Overall a decent stay! We requested early check in and were able to get in the room around 2pm, we received a call from Nigel letting us know the room was ready. Our room was very clean! Sheets immaculate, not a hair anywhere. There were some maintenance details that could use a look (crack in the bathroom door handle made locking it impossible) but nothing that impacted my stay (room 416). I stopped by the desk to let them know at checkout but there was no one there. I did see them often coming from behind the desk to assist guests so this is not a reflection of their work! Staff we encountered were very nice, we got confused and went to the wrong elevator and the housekeeping team redirected us. Hotel was obviously in the middle of work, from what I understand they are still recovering from hurricane damage and also doing renovations. Our room was beautifully done with what looked like new furniture and flooring? And very appreciative for the complimentary upgrade with my platinum status, loved our gulf view room!

Location right on the front-reception and bar area excellent with a pool looking into The Gulf with the sunset to your right 👍👍Sand Key across the bridge and Pier 60 down the road with plenty of bars and restaurants and shops especially Hooters👍👍

Why TF is there an ashtray in my room? This review is being written not because of the ashtray. It's only because of the poor attitude of the front desk staff. Why is every IHG property is Florida staffed with the nastiest people on earth? Five more words to 200.

Amazingly Family Friendly! 🩷⛱️🌞😎
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would have a hard time staying anywhere else at Clearwater Beach instead of coming back here! The 2 bedroom suite was fabulous for 2 small families yet allowed us to vacation together instead of separate units. The rooms are clean and nice overall, my only suggestion would be new carpet in the whole place. The location to the beach was convenient, while NOT ON the Beach. It's just a short walk or under 2 minute drive to public parking. It does have an ocean view so ask for a room with a view! KIDS EAT FREE Your Entire stay, (With most Adult Entrees), 3 meals a day at Jimmy's Fish House & Iguana Bar, a Jimmy Buffett Restaurant at the hotel next to the Oceanview pool with 2 bars, indoor & outdoor seating and constant live music that really sets the vibes! This is a perfect family friendly getaway!! We've stayed at the Wyndham and their pool is NOT kid friendly, this one is perfect, has a view and even a bar! I give the value here 10/10 for Families!
