Jun 08, 2025Great food but a very expensive Resort
The Resort is great but you can't get to the ocean they have big tubes filled with sand to stop the beach erosion. The food was the best but in the description on check in they charged a $21.00 per day charge for gods knows what so for 10 days they charged us $210.00 American but to be fair it was on the sight but they said it would be $15.00 per day but they also said youl get a $600.00 american dollar credit to spend on the resort but be warned it is a coupon book that you have to spend $100.00 to get $30.00 dollars off and we found the east coast of mexico very expensive compared everything is based on the american dollar I just checked and all of the El cid Resorts charge that rediculous fee so will never go back to a El Cid Resort and the only way to get to the small town is to take a long walk or a cab for $10.00 US each way we are used to taking a bus for about 9 or 10 pesos

Jun 08, 2025Incredible all-inclusive with amazing and friendly staff! Best staff we’ve ever experienced!
Such a great place for families! The all inclusive is the way to go and all restaurants are great. The platinum club is well worth it. We had a butler, Jesus, who was incredible. This was our second trip here! The only problem this time was the sargassum. No fault of the hotel but just ended up being highly prevalent.

Hotel was beautiful! It was just the girl that was doing the reservations that ruined our trip. Right away when we got there Monday, she told us all the restaurants were booked and to come the next day. So we go at 7am the next morning and she says that only thing she has available is at 9:30 pm. So our whole trip we ate breakfast at the hotel and would uber to puerto Morelos for dinner.

El Cid was a great family, friendly resort! Special shout out to Renan who was the buffet restaurant manager and went above and beyond to make our dining experience extra special. Only thing I would say is having more buffet locations to choose from for dinner as it could get busy with long waits from time to time! Overall, great experience

Pampering and perfection at a great price point.
We just spent a flawless week as Platinum guests in an oceanfront room with Ventus el Cid’s best butlers, Are Mendez and Manuel Diaz. My every request was met with a smile and delivered perfectly. Every dinner was at the time and place of my choosing and loungers at the Platinum beach were reserved for us. I’ve never been more pampered and I feel like I’ve found my vacation home. The variety of pools, hot tubs and bars meant that we could find the perfect level of activity for us. I’m fussy about linens and housekeeping and their service was exemplary as well. Their service overall far exceeds their price point and the restaurants are amazing. I don’t have a single complaint.
