  Fantastic holiday

  Just had the most wonderful 12 days at RIU Buenavista, with our boys 17 & 13. Staff and animation were exceptional. The rooms are very spacious and the everything is spotless. Evening/daytime entertainment was excellent. Food was good, could be a little repetitive, but there are speciality restaurants to break this up and we booked four times during our stay. On the whole a very enjoyable holiday and we would have no issues booking again.

  Hotel Riu Buenavista

  6th time at the hotel. Great to see the La Gomera bar open in the evenings. Wonderful staff and great hotel. Food is really good.

  Family holiday

  Great hotel, relaxed atmosphere for a family. Friendly service from the moment we arrived. Tried to book a sea view family room but wasn’t possible. Room was spacious and comfortable and although at the side of the hotel we still had a partial sea view. Overall not having sea/pool view didn’t affect the enjoyment of our holiday. Great choice of restaurants and dining rooms with the Atlantic having a beautiful sea view -lovely at breakfast. Entertainment was really good, enjoyed greatly by our 11-year-old daughter (pool activities, foam parties, themed party nights, music etc) and the reps were great with guests of all ages. Plenty of good pools to relax by. A few shops and restaurants are a 10min walk away close to the Hard Rock hotel if you need swimming goggles etc. and we were able to catch a bus to Costa Adeje & Siam Park from here too for approx €2 euros each.

  Super week away

  So we just got back from RUI Hotel Buenavista and my wife and 16 year old daughter had a great stay here. Would definitely recommend this Rui hotel The Room. We stayed in a 2 bedroom room which had a double bed in both bedrooms. The room was huge and perfect having 2 separate bedrooms for our older daughter. Also had a large balcony to sit out on. The Food. Food was always hot and fresh plenty of choice to choose from. You can book into 3 dining experiences during your stay either at the reception or through the Rui app as we did. The best for us was the grill which had grilled meat and fish as well as lots of other options and was seated on the terrace overlooking the sea which was fab. The Chinese was also good with your usual Chinese assortments and sushi which made a nice change to the usual food. Lastly we had the Italian which personally we found a little disappointing although still ok they had no lasagne, tagliatelle, or carbonara which seemed a little strange. Drinks We was all inclusive so drinks were available anytime after 9 am.until midnight. Soft drinks, juices ,water tea and coffee was available in the lobby 24hrs as self serve. Available was the usual Local spirits, wine and beer the wine and beer available as self serve pull your own was available from 9am till midnight. Entertainment. There was all the usual daytime entertainment you would expect ok So the entertainment was slightly dull here during the weeknights and involved an artist usually doing songs or playing an instrument of some sort and we feel this is the only area this hotel needs to try and improve however every Friday they do have a big party which was a neon party while we was there and this was really good fun we all had a dance and a great night. We also visited Siam water park at night on Saturday which was amazing, we took a local taxi there and back which was around 20euros each way. The tickets for the park we pre booked online at 40euros each. The entry system was very poor and a lconfusing as there were 4 different queues but not good signage so lots of people were standing in wrong queues. To clarify the 2 to the left are for pre paid the central one is for pay on the day/ night And I’m still not sure what the right side queue was for which seemed the longest. Taxi tip. There is uber but prices are very high not like in normal cities. Download an app called taxi click which behaves just like uber but uses the local taxis at half the price. 👍🏼

  High RIU standards as expected. Some areas could be improved but a nice hotel.

  As usual I read many reviews and watched videos prior to our stay. Always do your research is the key but always make your own mind up. Here is my review, I’ll try to summarise it for you. Great stuff - • The hotel staff: helpful, friendly, hard working • The animation team: always on the go and made our stay such fun. •The rooms: clean, huge, nice toiletries, lots of coat hangers, a safe, a fridge, good balcony. •The pools: 5 to choose from, offering adult only, kids pool, infinity and 2 for activities. •Express drinks stations: these were everywhere offering 3 wine types, 2 lagers, hot and cold drink options too. You only needed to go to the bars for special coffees, slushes, spirits or cocktails. •The large reception area: so many chairs/seats/sofas to relax in anytime of day. •The Neon and White party nights: best nights of the holiday, simple as that. Good stuff - •The food: plenty of choice each day. Have had better elsewhere but nothing here to upset your holiday. •Late night snack bar: offered sandwiches, burgers, salad and hot dogs. Appreciated but more choices may have appealed if available. Room for improvement - •Reserving sun-beds: the hotel does nothing to stop guests putting towels out at ridiculous hours of the night. It would be nicer for all if they enforced a rule such as removing all towels before 8am for example. •The ala carte restaurants: these should offer set menus rather than buffet style as they should stand alone from the main buffet restaurant and this doesn’t elevate them in my opinion. Fruit juices: these are from machines and diluted so the real thing would be nicer. Last few observations of mine that may help: 1. The pools are salt water but only mild. They never hurt our eyes like they have done at other hotels. 2. We enjoyed the grill, Asian and lastly Italian restaurants in that order of the ala cartes. 3. Take breakfast in the Atlantico restaurant for a lovely sea view and great way to start your day. 4. We stayed on the top floor (9th), there is only one lift for those rooms, so you may wish to request the 8th floor down as there are others available for those floors. The reception is on the 4th floor and pools and restaurants on the 3rd.
