    Poor evening entertainment options...

Location and close by amenities. Riu Buenavista is located in playa paraiso which is about 15euro taxi away from the main strip in costa adeje. Outside of the hotel resort there is a small shopping centre Rosa Center 5min walk up a steepish hill (includes hippodino supermarket, Lefties (spains alt to primark) a burger king a couple different restaurants and a soft play area. There are a few bars (the brittania, the eldon) about a 10min walk from the back exit of the hotel (ask reception how to get to the Hard Rock hotel from the back exit) its a lovely walk in the evening. Hotel consists of... 5 pools 4 bars 4 restaurants Food is excellent - use the app to book in atlantico (grill night) dolce vita (italian) mandelay (asian) they book up fast if you cant get booked on the app ask reception or the breakfast host they can usually get you in. Breakfast at faiza so many options from continental, or full englist to fresh pancakes, churros and an abundance of fruit and pastries. (Food pictures are pretty much lunch at atlantico ) Lunch we went to atlantico most days as it was closer to the adult pool plenty of options never failed us. Always quick to replenish even if the close in twenty mins they are still replenishing food. Evening meals Faiza the main buffet restaurant Always has a carvery meat option plenty of fish options and so many salad, vegg and carb options. Food wise I would say desserts where very samey most days. We went the Italian and mandalay once Nothing to write home about but not bad again plenty of options and if your still not satisfied go back to faiza haha. Went the grill atlantico twice the lamb chops 😋 jacket potatoes and the coleslaw 😍 I could have eaten that same meal every day so good! Zero complaints on food, drinks or location. Day time activities... Loads to do from kids club, pool activities, yoga, the gym, classes with the entertainment team.... Evening activities Nothing from 6pm really apart from whatever was on the stage entertainment. The hotel guests vary so much from younger couples to retired couples, family's with tots to teens. There really wasn't anything apart from the stage entertainment. Which got a bit samey. This pushed us to go out most nights whether to costa adeje 15€ a taxi each way plus drinks on top or to the bars by the Hard Rock hotel. There is an area of the lobby bar to the left of the bar that was empty pretty much most days and nights it would have been good to utilise that space and have that area as a bit of a sports bar and entertain more guests in house. Even just some tvs with sky sports news on with no volume would have been good. Overall I think the evening entertainment was the only thing to let the hotel down. If you vibe wasn't sitting outside watching whatever was on the stage. The lobby bar was the only other bar open, no entertainment like a lounge singer or piano man it didn't have any noticable music ot atmosphere just a lot of people sitting round playing uno. Don't get me wrong the nights we did stay in the stage entertainment michael Jackson dancers where good (bit dated but ok) the cirque night was great, the neon party looked great for all of the family , face paints and flow sticks everywhere. The kahoot quizzes where always busy as a post dinner calm. Recommendations outside the hotel. Mumbai masala opposite hard rock hotel food was lovely we got some late night chicken puri a few nights after going for a walk. Sun inn bar and restaurant in costa adeje. Great food and drinks reasonably priced (back open 12th dec) great roast dinner and breakfasts looked amazing. The Winchester Costa adeje club sandwich was gorgeous and saw lots of people doing cheese pull on there famous mozzarella sticks 12€ for 3 sticks.

Definitely worth it for Riu party night

Fantastic hotel on the seafront we couldn't fault anything here Lucky to get family rooms so we had two bedrooms lots of space room 304 side view of the sea and close to the main restaurant and bar but very quiet. Food was excellent in the buffet especially when the had roast pork and crackling it looks mostly the same every night but so much on offer with a change of meats The speciality restaurants are bookable two days before needed the Atlantico is a grill and it was well worth it, lovely skewers, chops, steak and huge prawns it's also a quiet restaurant The staff are amazing and although it's a big hotel we didn't have to queue much anywhere Riu party night is fantastic we were there for Neon party, what an amazing night we had, cocktails everywhere The only negative for us is the walking up the hilly roads to get anywhere but a nice walk along the seafront If you have children they will love it, entertainment for them is good and a great pool and play area Pictures show a beach nearby but it's not good, black not golden sand as shown and lots of rocks to get into the sea. Nice too to not have to pay deposit for towels and safe, also bottles of water available at the reception bar, just help yourself, two in room as you arrive.

    "Again, such amazing experience"

“Another Fantastic Stay at Beautiful Buenavista!” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was our fourth family holiday at Hotel Buenavista — and once again, it was outstanding. We were 15–20 people travelling together, and every single one of us felt welcomed, appreciated, and truly taken care of. What makes Buenavista special is the people. From reception and housekeeping to the pool, kitchen, and restaurants, every employee is warm, kind, and genuinely service-minded. A special thank you to Yasmin, Hose (Head Waiter), Valentina, and Diana and her daughter Paulina at Restaurant Yasza — their smiles, hospitality, and professionalism make a real difference. It is impressive that such a large resort still manages to create a personal atmosphere with consistently high-quality service. The staff are the heart of this hotel, and they deserve great credit for making every stay unforgettable. We will continue to return to Buenavista and always recommend it to others. Simply a wonderful place with wonderful people.

Not up to Riu standard. Nowhere near a 4*.

We have been to several Rui hotels and decided to try the Buenavista. We travelled as two couples in mid September this year. We had lots of little niggles but the biggest upset we had was the very rude barman in the 24 hour bar. It was fairly late and very quiet in this bar and my husband and I were the only two in the queue. My husband started a conversation with the barman in Spanish. This barman told my husband to ‘stop speaking Spanish and tell him what he wanted to drink’. ‘Don’t speak to me in Spanish, do that on your phone, not to me’. There was no queue, just us at the bar. We thought this was extremely rude and my husband was furious! We have emailed the hotel (twice) to complain about this man’s attitude towards us, the guests. On chasing our first email up we were told to take it up with Tui. I don’t feel that Tui have any course to speak to a member of Rui hotel staff about their lack of manners. There were several things that we felt were below the standard of a four star hotel. The pool area where we were (bottom left) was very dirty. The ground was not swept or hosed down at all during our week’s holiday. Earrings backs and cigarette butts were scattered on the floor. Smokers were smoking wherever they liked, especially around the pool and no one in authority asked them to move to the smoking areas. We booked the Italian restaurant via the app for one of the sittings. The food was so poor and dishes on this buffet were not replenished so we didn’t stay. It is obvious that everyone is going to arrive at the same time and so to have empty plates at the beginning of the sitting and not top them up is ridiculous. When we gave a one star review on the app we were told to take it up with the restaurant manager. I’m on holiday, I don’t want arguments, we just left the restaurant and went to the buffet instead. The heat in the 24 hour bar was unbearable on a couple of evenings. I understand that it is impossible to air con it due to it being open to outside but a few fans would help. We were disappointed that the La Gomera pool bar closed so early as this would have been the perfect spot for a quiet drink away from the entertainment. Our patio door did not close completely which meant we could hear everything outside very clearly. Not an issue for us but would be if you were a light sleeper. There had obviously been issues fitting this door as there were 3 attempts made to install the bolt as was apparent by the numerous holes in it. Our friends front door had a gaping hole underneath it which allowed insects (and on one evening, a cockroach) to crawl in. On a positive note, the food in the buffet was good. Staff in the main (top) restaurant were very friendly, chatty and great with the guests. Nothing was too much bother for them. Our friends and I have stayed at several Riu hotels but unfortunately won’t be recommending this one.
