Water shoes needed!!!!
First impression it’s a very nice hotel!! Alex on reception checked us in asap! Fair old walk to the quiet side of the hotel which we were happy with!! Beautiful garden room with the best view. (Room 77) Restaurant food is very good here, so much to choose from. Always got a plate , and never waited long for eggs in the morning if any waiting at all.. Sun beds were taken early so we joined the rat race with the Germans… lol I’m kidding , getting a sun bed was absolutely fine. We were round the quiet pool, the pool bar snack bar is brilliant. My boy loved it and ate here everyday.. Burgers , chips , chicken, hams, cheeses! Self service bar area with coke, Fanta etc and manned bar too. HOWEVER this closes at 18.00 , it’s a long way to the reception bar for a drink , definitely need the self service station to be open longer over the quiet side of the hotel.. On the second day of our stay , I noticed a child with another family had cut their feet open. The life guard swiftly sorted the problem. On our 3rd day my child cut his feet open.. (Pictures below)!! The life guard on duty DID swiftly clean the feet and tape them up.. Now on closer inspection of the pool area , I noticed more than a few tiles missing.. This became a topic of conversation around the pool between us adults!!! The amount of kids in a week I saw with cut feet was a joke , the most I saw in one day was 4 kids, it’s was relentless!! Baby pool on the quiet side needs re tiling asap. The slop on the quiet side needs re tiling asap . Water shoes are allowed in the pool.. Would I stay here again , yes I would :-)

Best Hotel in Lanzarote
Love this Hotel. Amazing food, every member of staff is so friendly. The one Manager called Pablo goes above and beyond to help make our stay so memorable. We try and stay at this hotel at least 3 times a year.

2 week stay at Riu Paraiso, Lanzarote.
Just back from 2 fab weeks. Our 6th time here. Could not fault this hotel. Always love returning. Reception staff so nice and helpful especially the lovely Rebecca who organised our room for us, the same one as last year. All staff so friendly and accommodating. Pablo in the restaurants had welcoming words each day. Food, location and entertainment staff great especially Ane. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants great staff, great food and spotlessly clean. Already looking forward to next year. Keep up the great work. Best wishes.

Top team Riu and Tui
Done a week over easter. Family of 7 with 3 kids & 4 adults The hotel rooms, grounds and facilities were really clean. All staff very welcoming, very friendly. Food was very well presented with an abundance of choice. Theres large tables set for families so you can all sit together. The food served at the booking restaurants was really good. Fresh ground pots of coffee in the mornings. Drinks on tap including wine, beer, soft drinks and coffees to serve yourselves. The kids entertainment was brilliant, all kids singing and dancing, staff dressed up, if kids had been in Riuland during the day they all got on stage for a certificate. There seemed to be a lead guy, think hes called Martin, spoke to all kids in different languages, songs were in different languages so nobody got missed out, never done as much laughing. All the kids at the evening party got a Kinder egg and little choc eggs (thankyou). Loads to do during the day for both kids and adults. Theres a 5 aside pitch, tennis, beach volley, water polo and the magic carpet gets brought out over the pool so everyone and anyone gets a go so your basically running on water, really funny. The small pools for the toddlers are only 30cm deep so quite safe for, theres a small play park with a sand pit. (Across the road is a larger play park) Thers a big touch screen so you can scroll through and see whats on. Loads of sunbeds. Pools are large and not too deep. Loads of space to sit inside during the day and evening. We never saw anything untoward, good atmosphere. If you decide to go out through the side gates you need your card and cant get in after 11pm that way, you have to go through the main entrance The only thing I wasnt 100% with was the temp of the pools, we were told one was 20oC and the other was 25oC . The larger pool was rarely used as it was so cold, even at 2pm you might get one person doing a few laps, so bit sad really, you couldnt spend too long in the other one either as was just too cold especially for the kids. The white and rose wine is a bit acidic so I didnt bother with it. Theres also no trays provided for carrying drinks , not sure if this is to prevent greediness or waste, just means you may have to queue up a couple times. If the pools had been a better temp then Id have given 5 stars, was just too cold and we rarely went in, kids came out dithering. However it was a great week and anyone thats given a 1 star rating need to give their heads a wobble.

Lovely hotel
This was our 2nd visit to the hotel and we enjoyed it just as much as the 1st time. The hotel is well positioned for walks and local amenities. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, plenty of food to choose from. Very comfortable beds, best I had slept in ages. Plenty of sunbeds even at easter holidays. The entertaimnent team work really hard and the shows they produced were the best I have seen. Tried to think of a negative, but all I could come up with were that the bath towels were a bit thin. We have now stayed at both sides of the hotel and both were equally as enjoyable, though the room over the bridge has a setteee which i preferred. Theres plenty to do at the hotel, my daughters took part in some exercise claases and the art studio which they enjoyed. I gave the value for money an average score as it was the Easter holidays so more expensive which is the case wherever you go. I would give the score a 4.5. Overall, we had a wonderful time, would be very happy to visit again and very happy to recommend.
