    Brilliant Hotel

    After enjoying our holiday in October 2024 at the Paraiso, we decided to book again for 2 weeks in May 2025, so glad we did, really lovely hotel, very large, spotlessly clean, and all the staff were amazing really hard working, friendly and always helpful, bed and pillows super comfy and the food was very good, we thought better than our stay in October (and it was good then) the speciality restaurants make a nice change and are really good especially the Asian one Yummy, it is a very large hotel the grounds are beautiful, the location is perfect a short walk either left or right out of the hotel takes you to bars restaurants shop if you need them, we just loved the walking and if your feeling energetic you can walk to Areceffe we did and loved it but caught the local bus back, would we return..... in a heart beat, of course we will be back soon .

    Average and disappointing

    The pillows were soft. Small flies flying around the bedroom. I got badly bitten on both legs. The food and plates in the main restaurant were very cold. Very little labels on everything. No organization in the main restaurant. Not enough toilets and not enough sanitation stations. People coughing on the food and everything. Not enough scoops and tongs for food. No one supervising all the stations in the restaurant. The hotel is clean. Some of the staff were nice. They didn't want to know about dietarys enquirements and we had emailed about special yogurts for example and they didn't want to know. They did a lot of French cuisine. There was only four toilets in the whole hotel. Queues in them all. .

    Nice looking hotel, some bad points though.

    The hotel was nice enough. However, throughout parts of the hotel there was a terrible smell. My friend actually had to get a room move as theirs was that bad. Mine was ok until day 2, the maid came in & done something with the drain in the shower. It was then ok for another day. I’m glad the weather was nice because we couldn’t spend much time in the room for the terrible smell. The other thing was the all inclusive “alcohol”. You could drink all day and be completely sober. I understand they cant give you full strength alcohol, but I think it was actually all alcohol free. Other hotels do it better in my opinion. The staff were quite nice and the food was ok. For the above reasons I’ll probably book somewhere else the next time I visit.

    Awful !!!!! Chefs needed !!!!!!!

    Awful !!!! Food bland tastes awful looks like rubber !!!!! Restaurant like old British home’s store no character whatsoever !!!! Presentation of food is dire !!!!! They need to go to los jameos hotel for guidance !!!!! Deserts shocking !!!! Cake !!!! Jelly chucked in a bowl !!!! Ice cream !!!!!!!

    2nd visit

    This was our second visit to this hotel. Great location. Great service. We would definitely choose Riu in the future.
