An upgraded Hyatt Place, great value and one of the best H.P.'s I've stayed at. Would stay again in a heartbeat. It's not a resort.. and not those prices either.

Jan 25, 2026My third and last time visiting this hotel?
This was my third time staying at this hotel. Check-in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable, sadly more comfortable than the lobby where the seating is awkward for someone who might seek back support and comfort. The main highway in San Jose is right outside the front door and is getting rebuilt, causing a daily dust storm to every surrounding business, including this hotel. The outside seating & tables are covered in a dust film, and the hotel is not cleaning it off. The breakfast on my first day was heavily Mexican orientated, the second day had pancakes and sausages added. Not sure how you order an omelette, there was no-one walking around to offer such items to-cook, unlike at other hotels. As more regular hotels (vs all-inclusive) are built, I will likely get a different hotel next time, even if I need to fork out a bit more money.

Great Hyatt place with an amazing breakfast
We stated this hotel on the way home from the Hilton Waldorf. Although obviously not the same type of hotel, this hotel exceeded in quality to what I was expecting Like two blocks offthe beach a pretty amazing location. The breakfast, much better than the included continental breakfast at the Los Cabos Hilton Waldorf.

Home away from home
This was our 4th time at the Hyatt Place in the last year. We try to escape the winter a week a month and Hyatt place gives us what we want. We have always found it clean and well taken care of and the price fits our budget. The location gets us where we want to be, close to the beach and walking distance to our favorite restaurants and downtown. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating putting us up on the 5th floor with a great view of the ocean, 508 is probably the best. They serve a very nice casual breakfast buffet if you don't feel like heading out. The pool while smaller and shady most of the day gives a wonderful place to relax after the beach, yes you can get to much sun in SJD. They also have a nice bar area and their food is well prepared and tasty, the chicken wrap hits the spot. They are right on the roundabout construction but noise and dust are temporary and it will be a fantastic improvement. Heading back week after next to enjoy again

A great value
Location is better than the picture. Very close to the beach. Good food nearby. Great, affordable massage nearby. Walkable to a lot! Liked free breakfast. Very clean. The pool is WARM. Free parking. Just a great value..
