Apr 30, 2025Great on some issues......and underwhelming on other
Nice location. Mediocre condition of the hotel though. There are very few (nice) common areas to relax. The pool is under construction, which seriously detracts from the appeal of the property. Good people. Wonderful room and view. Cartagena is spectacular, and the Hyatt is solid. It needs some updating though. Inside the room is quite nice. The common areas leave much to desire.

One of the nicest Hyatt Hotels I’ve stayed at. Big rooms, great views, clean. Beautiful pools, gym and spa. Decent, but not great, food. The beach is disappointing. It would be nice if the hotels along the strip would clean up and beautify the strip between the hotel and the beach. Lots of garbage and debris.

We will be back again and again
My 4th stay at the Hyatt in the last 2 years and it gets better each time. The recent 11th floor renovation is beautifully competed with new bar and restaurant and large casual dining area. The larger dining area is fresh, modern and invitingly styled. The 12th floor pool area was under renovation for this visit but we could see the plans for it and it will be amazing - it opens in September 2025 and we will be sure to return to check it out. 30th floor residency lounge is a very nice touch with daily snacks and drinks in the late afternoon. We stayed in one of the junior suites, a great size with one and half bathrooms… well appointed and well maintained.! There were one or two hiccups along the way but the team handled them well and quickly and with impeccable attitude. This brings me to the best aspect of this hotel - the team. EVERY member of the team is ultra friendly, welcoming, polite and helpful … We will be back for sure.

It was average hotel
They aren’t friendly to black people. The check in process was very long due to our room type. If was children everywhere running around like hyenas, and the guest did not control them. The pool is filled with children running around and splashing people, so it wasn’t relaxing environment. Jadir bar staff at pool was very rude and refused to acknowledge us.

Great experience.
This hotel was great! The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and available earlier than check in time. There were always taxis waiting outside. And the pool was fantastic, my kids loved it! I was worried it would be inconvenient to get to old town/getsemani but it was no trouble at all.
