  Great Girls Trip

  We had an incredible girls trip at this hotel! The food was better than other all-inclusives, the staff was great, and the beach was beautiful! A perfect place for a 6-night with my sister and our best friends. Shout out to Eusebio, Norma, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Esperanza Alvarez, Ana, the smiling Dalila, Salami (not his real name), and of course Sandy (we love Sandy). These were just a few of the staff that made this stay exception. Can't wait to go back!

  Excellent resort!

  We stayedJan 26 to Feb 2 -previously stayed twice prior when it was Secrets Capri (and had our wedding when it was Capri in 2013). So we already loved the location. We were not disappointed the resort is still beautiful and the staff are amazing. Shout out to Fermin from activities staff. He was great and full of energy! Carlos at lobby bar was the best. All staff were friendly and go above an beyond. The weather was cool the week we went so the pools were freezing. Only suggestion would be heated pools. We also had a swim out with garden view but did not use it. Food was great and no reservations required except for Tepanyaki restaurant. We would definitely go back to this resort. There are coatis roaming around but they were harmless. Would highly recommend this resort.

  Will Not Go Back.

  After check-in we were immediately bombarded with time-share which I did not like. Our First night we found out several of the restaurants were closed, the buffet being one of them. So, we had to wait 20 plus minutes to get seated for dinner at another restaurant since we did not have reservations. While we were waiting the Sommelier Emmanuel came by and he talked us into having a romantic dinner on the beach. We asked him at least 5 times if we had to pay and he said no that we had credits from our reservation which would be applied to the dinner. Later that night, after eating at the Capri Grill Italian restaurant, my friend got violently ill throwing up. The restaurant was not open the rest of the stay. The night we had the romantic dinner on the beach we asked Emmanuel again if we had to pay and he insisted that we did not. The night before we left around 3 am there was loud activity going on outside our front door. Loud enough it woke us up. We did not sleep well that night. The next morning, we were checking out we had no hot water. It was too cold to even shower. When we left the room, we saw the ceiling two doors down in the hallway had fallen. There must have been a water leak. Upon check out we were informed we had to pay $200 for the dinner. The gentleman that checked us out (we did not get his name) was not very friendly nor helpful. We told him all that happened and how we asked more than once about having to pay for the romantic dinner. He could have cared less. I would have been satisfied with at least 50% off since there was a definite miscommunication. We got nothing offered. I truly believe we were deceived by Emmanuel. We would not have spent the money when we had all inclusive food and drinks, even though half of the restaurant areas were closed. Also, more than one person at the resort were commenting on how the alcohol was watered down, which in my opinion is deceiving the resort guests when we pay for all-inclusive food and drinks. We were never told about the daily activities on the property and only found out on the last day where to look for them. We missed out on a lot of the activities. I will never stay there again and will never recommend this place to anyone.

  Easy, friendly vibe.

  Amazing staff very friendly and accommodating. The size of the resort is compact and not overwhelming as large, larger ones. Easy, friendly vibe.

  Not the Luxury Experience Expected — Especially the Food

  I stayed two nights after transferring from another hotel that sold out — one night with a girlfriend and one solo. My stay coincided with a major winter storm, the property had conventions a felt less intimate and relaxing. Compared to a nearby four-star property, the food was notably inferior here, despite this being positioned as a higher-end resort. The four-star hotel offered better food quality and significantly more dining options. At this all-inclusive, choices felt limited and inconsistent. The resort is relatively small (around 300 rooms), and during my stay it was very convention-heavy, which changed the overall atmosphere. Large group events appeared to take over much of the property, and the experience felt far more functional than luxurious. There are animals on property as part of a protected ecosystem, but this is not clearly explained upon arrival. They do appear in guest areas, including near dining spaces, which can be unsettling and very concerning if you’re unprepared. Clear guidance on food safety protocols and where animals are less present would be helpful for first-time guests. Service varied by department. Pool staff were excellent — attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. Café staff were also consistently pleasant. Other food and beverage teams seemed overworked and rushed, and service often felt transactional. Bottom line: This resort has strong pool service and kind frontline staff in certain areas, but food quality, communication, and the overall atmosphere did not meet luxury expectations during a high-occupancy, convention-heavy period. Travelers expecting a refined, food-forward all-inclusive experience may find better value elsewhere.
