Palma prestige
We booked this hotel on the back of all of the reviews and have to say it was fantastic. We upgraded to Star Prestige on arrival, and it was well worth it. For this, we had a premium room on the exclusive 6th floor (star prestige level ) and it was a junior suite. Very comfortable and nicely appointed room, super comfy bed, excellent sea view, not really any downsides, however, would have expected usb charging points. We did have a few requests and this was immediately dealt with very professionally. Also, with SP, you get exclusive access to the rooftop pool and bar. You will be looked after nicely by Jennifer if she is on duty. Snacks, non alcoholic drinks are free. Little treats also came around, ice creams etc and there were a selection of pastries At breakfast, with SP, you also benefit from an exclusive area in the dining room, where you will receive a more personal and rapid service. Putting the fact that we upgrade aside, we found all of the colleagues in the hotel really helpful and friendly. We noted the comments regarding the local area being full of young drunk Germans! This didn’t spoil our stay and didn’t find it affected us. We would stay at this hotel and brand again

Perfect for a chill out holiday
We wanted a quiet, relaxed holiday and this was perfect for us. The hotel is a short transfer from the airport and near to the beach. We were greeted by Marc who welcomed us as soon as we got off the coach. Genuinely kind and very helpful and this made a good start to our holiday. Our room was spacious and spotless with a great view. Very quiet ( overlooking the pool ) The food in the restaurant was plentiful with great choice. Admittedly there were more German travellers which wasn’t an issue as still great food choices. Staff throughout the hotel were very pleasant. Occasionally some communication issues but managed well and no great problem tbh. Entertainment was hit and miss although bar staff were very attentive. We booked all inclusive and a bit disappointed about the limits on drinks. We don’t drink much and rarely during the day. (We prefer to have few cocktails at night). It was explained to us that drinks are restricted to the dining room, which seemed ridiculous. We soon realised we could take our drink into the bar area after our meal which was ok. We did go to the beach as we like the freedom of a swim and chill. The main annoyance was the constant pestering of sellers who ignored that we might be sleeping or talking to each other. They pester anyway. Surely these sellers should be prevented from doing this? They spoil a lovely beach experience which is sad as it’s so beautiful. We were fortunate to have great food at our hotel as the choice of restaurants and nice bars seems limited and rowdy with lots of party folk making it seem cheap. Public transport is regular from outside the hotel into Palma which is a great visit. Lots to see and do. We will definitely try to return to this hotel as we had a fabulous holiday and feel well rested thanks to great food, staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Great hotel, food with exceptional staff!
My wife and I just returned from Iberostar Selection LLaud in Mallorca. What a gem in the Mediterranean! We love the chain Iberostar but this hotel is cut above the rest. What makes it so special is the incredible staff- professional, exceptionally polite, knowledgeable. Also, the around the pool programme led by the lovely and energetic Yulia was variable, fun and suitable for wide range of guests- from aqua aerobics to learning new Latin dances, yoga and much more. The Sunset ritual on the roof of the hotel was such a lovely touch- you are welcomed with sangria, canapés, invited to take pictures, to make a bracelet with semiprecious stones, to write a postcard home and to meet other guest. The food - breakfast and dinner - was of very night quality - fresh, beautifully presented, delicious! There was a themed evening dinners - Asian, Moroccan, Italian, Spanish. The omnipresent and tireless Juan Carlos was the master organizer of all the catering! Well done! I would like to mention Ruth, Barbara, Sylvia and Rita from the catering staff, as well as Carlos from the Reception. There is one thing that could be improved and this is the evening entertainment. People go on holiday and they would like to have fun - to listen to lovely music and to dance. This was not always the case, unfortunately. On several evenings the music was not “danceable” and not even pleasant to listen to. The vocalists sometimes try to change the original songs and they become unrecognisable. Better quality performers would be appreciated.

A great hotel, misses top rating as let down by a few avoidable niggles
Visited in September, been here before so knew what to expect. This time we paid for the Prestige membership, and this was primarily where we were slightly disappointed. First the good news, as always great food, nice clean facilities, sun beds not busy, pleasant friendly staff. We paid more this time for the elevated prestige experience. However, for the additional money we do not believe the added extras are worth it. The top floor was a real disappointment, staff there were not attentive, did not come round asking to take drinks orders and were generally less friendly. We gave up waiting and despite the nice view ...went down to the ground floor pool where we were treated nicely and given good service. When paying extra we expected a business class type experience and this was not the case...truly a missed opportunity as we would not pay for prestige again. Only other issue is that the air conditioning is very weak throughout the hotel, and it struggles to keep the rooms cold, this has been the case for each of our visits...and perhaps it is hard for the hotel to upgrade that. After a hot day by the pool....it is a shame it is hard to keep cool and even at night it only just works despite being turned to lowest temp and max fan speed. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would come again, we would not pay for prestige unless there is reconsideration of what that experience should be. Thank you for a great stay.
