First time at this great hotel

First time at this hotel, although we have been to Costa Adeje a few times This was definitely the best hotel we have stayed in, considering all the categories. Everything was just great from check in to check out. We had booked a Star Prestige room which gave us access to the rooftop sun deck and pool. This was really convenient as it was on the same level as our room, Access to the pool was via the self service lounge where you could get unlimited snacks, beer, wine and spirits. The hotel has a sunbed booking system via an app, but this does not apply to the Prestige rooms. There are quite a few sunbeds available on the roof top, but if these are taken there are more beds down at the main pool level, which are in the Prestige area. After check in we were escorted to our room, and given a walk around the Prestige facilities and had everything explained to us. All the staff are amazing and helpful, right from being dropped off at the hotel entrance, where a man in a very smart uniform and cap insisted on grabbing our bags and taking them to reception. The food was great, with plenty of choices, and the ability to eat yourself stupid at every meal. The evening entertainment was good, with a mix of singers and a show throughout the week. In particular Claudia and George provided a great evening on our first night. Tip: we opted for the early breakfast for most of our stay, and this proved to be the quietest and most relaxed time in the restaurant. However, on our last day we decided to go for the later option, as we were not being picked up until 11:00. The restaurant at this time was really busy, so it's your choice, go early and relax, or sleep in and endure the increased foot traffic. We had a great time at his hotel, and hope to return next year. When we left home it was -23 C, and on arrival in Costa Adeje it was +23 C , so no explanation needed!

    Nice Stay

Had a quick 5 days (moved to Corale Hideaway for a futher few days) This is our third stay, all was as before. The rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are nice enough. Food is very good, we stayed B&B, had two nights in the buffett the offer of EUR45 with drinks we thought was good value both themed nights, food was very good, yes it is busy I think it would be better too if the lights were dimmed a little. The star prestige is not for us, do not like to use lifts but I am sure it may suit some, I did have a look at the roof top pool but area a little small. Sunbed booking system was the same, although you have to be at your bed by 10.45am :) my only gripe is there seemed to be more beds now and its a bit squashed so not much space between people and it is not really a peaceful area either, (enjoyed our next hotel better in that respect). The area is what it is. I would visit again.

A wonderful relaxing break in a lovely, clean hotel. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We will return.

This is our third time staying at the sabila and we will be returning. The hotel is beautiful and clean with lots of attention to detail. We stayed Prestige and it is definitely worth the extra money. All staff are friendly and helpful and look smart. We had a treatment at the Spa again which was amazing with use of all the facilities for the day. Thank you to all the staff that contributed to our holiday.

    5th January Visit

We stayed for 9 nights,10 days from 24th January to 2nd February this was our 5th visit,we go every January for my birthday. Again nice to see lots of familiar faces. We just booked a normal double room again and all inclusive as it works for us not having to trek out for lunch and evening meal. Room was as we expected, and housekeeping do an excellent job everyday. The food was very good again,we had something different every night and they always have a different joint of meat on every evening. Every meal time was excellent and the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant do an excellent job they really do they are all so friendly and professional. Now I understand the dress rules for the evening and I agree with this but on our 1st evening we went down for evening meal,my husband was wearing some smart long shorts,T shirt, and some Birkenstock slip on shoes,(closed toe sling backs) with socks on,the lady checking us in Madgely I think I’ve spelt it right was on her name badge,I observed her looking my husband up and down as we were booking into the restaurant, how dam rude of her,she said are you aware of the dress code to which I replied yes it’s our 5th visit,he wasn’t allowed in the restaurant with those shoes with shorts but he could wear them with long trousers,I explained to her that this was our travel day( been up since 3am)and that they were not beach shoes and were expensive shoes, but no he had to go back up to our room & change either into long trousers or change his shoes. Now on the hotel general information sheet it does state that gentleman wearing shorts are required to wear closed toe shoes which they were,I suggest that Madgely reads this or you change the description on this information sheet,I saw men with long trousers on with cheap plastic slip on’s on in the restaurant,(open toe) trousers on,Where they looked up and down? and checked ? I don’t think so. Sunbed booking system new this time,Santiago and Carmela do an amazing job outside managing this, when we first looked at this I thought I’m never gonna understand this but Santiago was so helpful with this, and sorting this out for us,also if you want to book the sunbeds for the duration of your stay you can do for a small charge. We liked this booking system. Marina and the staff do an amazing job at the pool bar they really do. We did have an issue with some cocktails put onto our bill which were not included in our all inclusive package which the bar staff didn’t tell us about which was odd as my husband only signed for one without realising that if you sign for something that means you are charged but this issue was resolved by reception. Now onto the entertainment, average this year very average, now I understand this is not the hotels fault, Tina Turner cancelled on them and sadly Elton John cancelled due to being involved in a car accident we believe.Freddy mercury was good but all the others on the other nights were just average I’m afraid, entertainment poor this year we were disappointed. Two evenings we went out due to the poor entertainment at the hotel. People are on holiday to enjoy themselves and even tho the saxophone player was good we just found it slightly depressing music some of it. The staff here are amazing just one female staff member whom I have mentioned above I felt was unprofessional but everyone else was amazing, professional and so so friendly. Manuel,Daniella,Leo(barman),Emily, nuella,Gorge,I cannot remember all your names but some of you are on my photograph, you all work so hard and help make our stay pleasant and enjoyable, and always have the time to chat to guests. We are missing you all you lovely people.
