  Amazing experience

  trip was amazing, Brenda at the entry was so sweet and overall the service was amazing. Great food, great room everything was so clean.

  Great Food and Activities, But Too Many Misses for a Return Visit

  We booked this resort last minute—on a Monday—and arrived by 9 a.m. Wednesday for a short trip with just my husband and me. While the check-in process was smooth, we couldn’t access our room until 2 p.m., which was expected. However, the lack of air conditioning in the lobby and most restaurants made waiting and dining uncomfortable, especially in 100-degree heat. The resort itself is large and offers a wide variety of activities, which we appreciated. From poolside games to archery and a gym, there’s plenty to do. They also offer golf carts to help guests get around, which was a nice convenience. There’s a waterpark available for an additional $10 per day, but if you’re staying at Lindo or Maya, it’s included at no extra charge. The food was a highlight—everything we tried was delicious. We especially enjoyed the daily featured lunch by the pool and the beachside burgers, tacos, and fries. Just be aware that most dining areas, including the breakfast buffet, don’t have air conditioning. The app sounded promising but didn’t work for us. We were told we could make dinner reservations starting at 6 a.m., but the app wouldn’t let us. We had to go to the lobby for help, which made the app feel pointless. That said, we really enjoyed the hibachi, Italian, and smokehouse restaurants. The French restaurant (Colonial) wasn’t our favorite. Our room was basic. The mini fridge had a couple of sodas and two beers—extra beers cost extra. No snacks or room service were available. The beach would be beautiful if not for the overwhelming sargassum. The resort tries to keep up with it, but it’s a losing battle. One thing that stood out was the lack of attention to detail when it came to maintenance. Several water features near the buffets weren’t working, and overall, the resort could benefit from better upkeep. The Friday foam party at the pool was a blast—definitely a highlight! But be warned: the towel game is strong here. If you’re not out by 7 a.m., finding a pool chair is tough. Also, there are no elevators in the buildings, which could be challenging for families with strollers or guests with mobility issues. One thing that really bothered us was how many guests left their empty cups everywhere. We found ourselves cleaning up after others just to keep the space pleasant for everyone. The staff works hard, and it’s disappointing to see guests be so inconsiderate. We used USA Transfers from the airport and had a fantastic experience—quick, easy, and professional. Overall, the trip was okay, but we wouldn’t return to this resort.

  Tranquil Escape

  Overall, the resort was very nice. Positives: Big room, good housekeeping, quick check in, golf cart transportation, excellent gym (this is my third stay at Iberostar resorts and they have excellent gym in all of them), lots of activities by the pool, bar in the lobby. Breakfast was wholesome and good. Waking up to the sight of a beautiful peacock that sat on our balcony every morning was heavenly and as close to nature one can get. An excellent eco-friendly resort. Negatives: No elevators, so people who cannot climb up and down to and from the third floor, 3 to 4 times a day, should choose lower floors. Entertainment not as good as Iberostar Rose Hall, Monetgo Bay. It is difficult to get reservations in many restaurants, particularly the French and Brazillian restaurants - we never got to eat there. Tilapia is the only fish served most of the time, no matter which restaurant one chooses to go to - same with grilled meat. Buffet lunch is mostly the same in all restaurants. Service at the swim-up bar is pathetically slow - this has been reported endless times by other reviewers, but they still have only one person serving about 20 people at any given time. The bar in the lobby is good. But I have no clue why they cannot serve some nuts/chips with drinks. It will probably cost a few extra $, but it will earn a lot of goodwill. In sum, I think, the resort is good value for money.

  Beautiful property. Debbie was great. She is friendly and warm. Nice restaurants and pool. The service was superb. We loved the night time activities.

  Great experience

  Amazing experience. Thanks for going above and beyond Guadalupe (abigail) and Gabriela Loby beach. We loved everything from the check in to the check out. The food selection was amazing, we would recommend Japanese and French. The discotica and karaoke were our favorites activities. The room was clean and service was fast. We will be back.
