    Staff

Great stay! I was able to have some 1-2-1 swim lessons with Jorge from fit & fun and would recommend! He was very helpful, a great coach, made me feel comfortable and I progressed tremendously in a very short amount of time, thank you Jorge

Terrible stay. Noisy AC, no proper cleaning, bad food, dirty pool, sea water full of dirt, mosquitoes everywhere, staff

Our experience at Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach was very disappointing. The air conditioning in the rooms is so loud that it’s impossible to sleep, and you cannot turn it off. Room cleaning was inconsistent – they ignored requests and only sometimes came later. The food was very poor quality; lunch leftovers were served again at dinner, nothing fresh or interesting. Mosquitoes were everywhere, making it hard to relax outside, and even the children could not sleep because of bites. Service overall was terrible – the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. At checkout they even demanded extra money for “cleaning services” that were never provided. We traveled as a family of ten people, and all of us had the same issues in every room. This resort is definitely not worth the price and I would not recommend it to anyone

Fantastic resort with great employees !!!

This was the second time here for myself and my wife and it was even better than the first time. We booked room 3001 on the beach and the room was fantastic. Lets start at the beginning. We made sure this time to write down employees names who stood out and went above and beyond even though all the employees there were great. Ramiro at the front desk checked us in and greeted us with friendliness and a smile. The check in was quick and he explained the new room key being on the wrist now which was fantastic. No more keeping up with the room keys ! We went to Jinmi next who was one of three concierges that helped us on our stay. When he was not there Mike and Josue were super helpful and answered all our questions. Anyway, Jinmi explained to us about the presentation and we decided to give it a try. After going the next day we were very happy that he explained the process perfectly and did not mislead us in any way. We did not buy this time but were given good information about what they offered. Jinmi did his job great ! We did see a server by the name of Marciano from last year and he actually remembered us. He is just always smiling and so happy and he made our eating experiences even better! He is such a hard worker and his job is not easy so that is a tribute to his work ethic. The room was always perfect because of a housekeeper by the name of Rosario Lopez. She was happy to accommodate us in any way possible. Many of you travelers out there know when your room is spotless and you have enough towels that makes your stay so much better. She was one of the best housekeeper's we have ever had in out 40 plus years of travelling. Because of low season management did send her home a couple of days and one day our room did not get cleaned. We called the front desk and within the hour a runner by the name of Jair came and brought us fresh towels, sheets and cleaned the room. It took him three trips because all he had was a backpack but he was quick and efficient. He did apologize but we told him it was ok and not his fault. Siomona also helped with this issue and did a great job of handling it. We cant forget about Freddy and his black cart. He took us to our room on a couple of occasions when he did not have to. We did mention to him that we never saw the entire Lindo next door and he gave us a first class tour of that hotel. He is another one who was always smiling and always seemed so happy. Thanks Freddy for the help. Armando with the entertainment group is another hard worker who just could not quit smiling. You can tell he loves his job and it shows. Chef Armando explained a couple of the dishes they were serving at the buffet and you can tell he likes his job. Now last but certainly not least was our favorite employee. Chef Octavio. That man works so hard and was always busy. He went way above and beyond with us and the mole. I am a mole junkie and he made sure we had plenty of it whenever possible. His interactions with the guests and his co workers was the same every time we saw him. He had a smile on his face a mile wide and always seemed so happy. Thanks chef Octavio for making our trip the best. We hope to see you in the future and keep making great mole !!! We did want to mention that this place would not look so great if not for the hard work of all the people doing the yardwork and maintenance. We also can't forget the employees taking us back and forth on the carts. This resort in our humble opinion is a first class place with a great staff that does a fantastic job.

    Dissapointing

You expect a nice large resort with lots of things to do. However once you have arrived they tell you there is only a part of the park you can use and only 1 swimming pool. 🏊‍♂️ Sunbeds, other swimming pools and slides are extra charge. 🤿There is nothing to see when snorkling and there is only limited space for swimming. Not to forget the sargassum. 🍴 Restaurants buffet are average. The good restaurant only open 2 to a few days of the week. Lunch is mostly the same buffet every day. 💨 due to the park being in the trees there is barely a cooling breeze making the swimming pool also warm at the end of the morning. Resulting in algues in the water. The amount of extra charges is not what we are used to in Mexico. Overall we would say the park is not worth the money, 2 ⭐️ hotel for a 5 ⭐️ price.

    Tropical fun in the sun!

✈️ Transfer: The usual hotel lobby tour- 3 stops before we arrived at our hotel...1.5 hours- pack snacks. 💸 Check-in: The upsell started almost immediately. We paid an extra $25USD/day to be in Block 34—closer to the pool and beach. Worth it? Great for when you need quick multiple room stops throughout the day. 🛏 Room: Bed = firm. AC = optimistic. Sleep = achieved. 🍴 Food: Buffets = solid, loved the dinner theme nights. Beach burgers & fries hit the spot. Brazilian à la carte = ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Smokehouse = concept cool, food meh (empanadas saved it). 🥂 Staff: Entertainment team is awesome. Special shout-outs to Karen (friendly), Gabriel (fun), Ishmael (lobby bar strawberry daiquiri wizard) and Chef Alfredo at the main buffet. 🌊 Beach & Pools: White sand, salty pools (bring floaties). Chairs get “reserved” early. Sargassum season —the tractors do their best. 👟 Resort size: Huge. You’ll hit 10,000 steps daily unless you prefer to wait for the shuttles. 👶👨‍👩‍👦 Guests: Lots of kids and Europeans- Spanish, German and British. Overall: Big, tropical resort with lots of local animals and birds, great food, friendly staff, and a side of seaweed. Bring comfy shoes, download the app for booking restaurants (7am) and getting updates on when your room has been cleaned.
