Excellent service & facilities, lots of wildlife, very clean, safe, and inviting! Would absolutely visit here again. Only thing I would improve is more power outlets in the room. Staff were all amazing, friendly and helpful; special shout out to Julia (restaurant hostess) she went over and above the call of duty to help our blind family member in the dining/buffet areas every time we visited during our stay.

A pleasant resort.
We just returned from a week-long vacation. The room was wonderful, the food was good, the beach was beautiful, the ocean was crystal clear with fish, and the staff did everything possible for us. We didn't see a single mosquito. We had a great rest.

Amazing place with plenty activities or chill days
Fantastic holiday ,brilliant location brilliant facilities, had an amazing day out with dressel divers which is on site , mon and david are very nice people , entertainment was okay on a few nights alot of karaoke which was not for me, plenty of activities onsite like archery , wibit ,riffle shooting , abigail from the entertainment was very lovely and accommodating where as victor is annoying and very anti -english and once I made him aware I was english his jokes at out exspense where worse. The bar staff where always amazing Enrique at the theatre bar is a lovely man always polite and works way to hard. Rooms where cleaned daily with fresh bedding and change of towels, food was always great from buffet to the restaurants . There's plenty of animals to see , plenty of lovely staff Jorge at concierge is funny and lovely but bit pushy with the time shares though. Overall 10/10 i looked passed victor being annoying and not letting the staff member spoil my holiday as everyone else who worked there was lovely for the whole 14 days we stayed. We Will be back again to this hotel viva la mexico .

Nice holiday
I was there in 9 September for 9 days it was really nice the beach and the sea food by the beach , Monkeys , animals and the jungle , Nice cocktails in the bars , but the club it’s very small and they close before 1:00 am We like different choice of the food not only Mexican …. Thanks for Paco he work in the reception really he was very helpful and he smile and very friendly, not like all . The most important have to be friendly and make it easy for the guests because they come from far away some guests especially there and try to sort for them if they need something and help them and take it easy and if they need to talk of manager for they say something or team leader of reception no problem. By the way the hotel very nice and very clean and i will come back again .

Wildlife, Waves & World-Class Food – Thank Me Later 😎
We stayed at Iberostar Waves Quetzal in the second week of September 2025 and had an amazing time. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the wildlife was such a bonus we haven’t experienced at other resorts. The beach was gorgeous, soft sand and minimal sargassum. Rain showers came and went quickly, leaving lots of sunshine. Playa’s market and even local ruins are within walking distance, which was perfect for exploring. The pool is huge, clean, and never crowded (though it is quite deep—bring a floatie!). The food was outstanding, with incredible quality and variety—we even enjoyed lobster at the buffet one night. Worth noting: there’s no poolside drink service, but that led us to the adult pool bar where Daniels, the bartender, made our trip extra special. He’s friendly, fun, played great music and makes the best drinks—definitely ask for his special creation! Overall, Iberostar Waves Quetzal exceeded our expectations and we’d happily return.
