Our Happy Place...... a true home away from home
We have visited the Joia El Mirador 10 or 12 times now (we have lost count) and have recently returned from our second visit this year with another trip booked for November! Each time you arrive you are made to feel special, greeted once again by your concierge, on this occasion a wonderful young man who we forgot to take a note of his name, we will be sure to next time. Your colleagues on reception make checking in a quick and easy process, you are providing with a hand towel to freshen up and a complimentary drink - a lovely, welcome gesture. A special mention to Paola (who we understand has been at the hotel 13 years). We were shown to our junior suite room on the third floor - room: 1306 and it didn’t disappoint, spacious, pristine - everything you could want, even hair straighteners this time! The balcony was superb, with sunbeds, a sofa and chairs and a fantastic view of the ocean, we spent many early mornings and evenings relaxing on the balcony. We had booked a table in La Pergola for dinner prior to arrival (our favourite spot) and were greeted warmly by Stefano who looked after us superbly once again, along with Besik and a new member of the team Dani - we had a wonderful evening, and the food was outstanding. We returned most days to enjoy a wonderful lunch in such lovely and peaceful surroundings. Breakfast has everything you could want; you are truly spoilt for choice. Everyone is so accommodating, special mention to Fabian, Enriquez and of course Carlos. The grounds and pool area are wonderful and so relaxing, all the staff are so helpful, special mention to Orlando who is such a joyful person. We didn’t have the opportunity to see Tiziana on this visit, but we were greeted every day by Victoria, what a lovely young lady and a true credit to the hotel. Thank you once again for making our trip so special and memorable and we very much look forward to returning in November. Kind regards Caroline & Jeff

Fantastic holiday
This is our 8th holiday at El Mirador. We absolutely love everything about it. The staff are honestly the best. So friendly and can’t do enough for you. Even though it’s been 14months since our last visit they remember us. The pool attendant (Orlando) was so happy to see us again. The restaurant staff are amazing. The reception staff are great- infact each and every one of them is a credit to iberostar. We are here at the moment and planning our next visit! If you like great service, beautiful hotel, fabulous food, great location with a lovely beach a few steps away then I can’t recommend this hotel enough. 5star all the way!!

Piece of paradise
We just returned from our first stay here and now understand why the hotel has such a high number of returning visitors. The photos online don’t do it justice. The beachfront location, the quality of food, the rooms and the cleanliness levels exceeded our expectations. All the staff are so kind, but special mentions to Besik, Stefano, Dani and Orlando. They are truly lovely, helpful and hilarious staff members who are a real credit to the team. It truly is a fabulous establishment and we can’t wait to book another stay! We would recommend this hotel to anyone after a peaceful, relaxing break. Thank you El Mirador!! See you soon

Amazing hotel
For many years now, we have been staying at this wonderful and amazing hotel during our holidays in Tenerife. Not a single negative point to mention. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty with a wide variety of choices. All the staff are extremely friendly. We will definitely return.

Perfect Stay in a Wonderful Hotel
We are already trying to plan when we can go back, having stayed here for the first time in August. We travelled as a family of 3, taking advantage for the first time of enjoying an adults only hotel. Joia El Mirador - its grounds, its location and its staff are simply the best in Tenerife and beyond. The hotel is well managed and friendly, welcoming every guest and acknowledging the many returning clients. We were fortunate enough to stay in Rooms 1701 and 1702, which were absolutely stunning and also gave us access to the Star Prestige/Balconada area. This area provides an all day open bar as well as regularly refreshed light snacks, sandwiches and salads - enough to keep you ticking over after the extensive Breakfast on offer. A daily starter of the cocktail of the day around 11.30 sets everyone up perfectly for a day of pure relaxation! Having visited Tenerife many times previously, we had a number of favorite restaurants nearby and simply never got around to eating during the evening within the hotel. However, based on fellow guests comments during our stay and on the quality of food and service either at breakfast in El Mirador (Buffet) Restaurant or El Cenador (A la Carte), or a couple of lunches we enjoyed at La Pergola - I am certain the evening offerings would be just as good. Many returning guests had booked the available half board option before even arriving. The pool areas are immaculate; staff are so hard working and even in extremely hot August weather are still such happy people; drinks are served with care; the rooms have every possible amenity provided; minibars are restocked and water replenished; restaurant staff are engaging and jovial; housekeeping is well managed and accommodates guests preferences for room cleaning times; gifts can mysteriously appear during the day (sun hats, beach bags, chocolates and much more)... and I could continue. It is lovely for a hotel to say thank you back to its guests for choosing them over other hotels available. Finally we would like to specifically thank Diana/Fatima in Star Prestige for assisting us with some reservations and for their friendly chats; and also the wonderful Tiziana, who corresponded with us before our arrival regarding a room change/allocation, and kept in touch throughout our stay. (Tiziana - you were right, it was fabulous and we will be back!). The hotel is a credit to the Iberostar brand and should be super proud of all the positive reviews it rightly receives.
