Our New Happy Place in San Jose del Cabo
If I could give a 10-star rating for this hotel, I would. My husband and I had one of the best vacations of our lives at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa September 20 – 30, 2025. From our check-in with Karla and Yessica to our chat with Ximena before leaving, we experienced excellent service and attention from the entire team. Most of our mornings began with a visit to the Auka Deli, where Enrique and Irena greeted us with smiles and prepared our delicious iced coffee drinks. We would then make our way out to the Adults pool to swim a bit before having drinks and lunch poolside. Reynaldo, Johnnie, Roy, Alberto, Yair, Jesus, and Nestor all took great care of us there. I highly recommend the piña colada with the carved parrot perched on the side! The Jasha Spa is an incredible place to relax at the hotel. I used the long lap pool several times and we both enjoyed the pool with the individual “waterfalls” – very useful for loosening up the shoulders. My husband and I had massages together on one of our first days and it set the relaxed tone of our stay. Jennifer was very helpful when I got lost in the spa (in my defense, it IS quite spacious). I also had a pretty manicure done by Yarmileth and she was very nice to chat with. All of the restaurants on the property are of the highest quality. At Marhumo, Eduardo made some good recommendations and we liked our dinner so much that we returned there a couple of days later. For tacos, we made our way to El Luchador, where Brayam and Raul introduced us to some new flavors – over our three dinners there! We also loved our dinner outdoors at Casa Maat, thanks to Gustavo. The Niparaya JW Bar had delicious sushi and teppanyaki and Nicholas was a charming host. The Café Des Artistes restaurant was a marvelous experience in a fusion of French and Mexican cuisine, with beautiful live music. We appreciated the recommendations made by Steve and Carla there. The breakfast buffet at UA is plentiful and we savored the food there. Mark took care to make sure we knew about all the food options. During our stay we met Monteserrat, who is in charge of the beer and tequila tastings and she is also a wine expert. We learned a lot about Mexican beers and tequilas. Samantha, the person in charge of Room Service, was a joy to talk with. Ximena checked in with us on several occasions to make sure everything was going well on our visit. The sparkling personalities of all of these ladies were truly a delight. We absolutely love the JW Marriott Hotel & Spa. I have tried to remember all the names of the staff we encountered, but if there is anyone whose name I forgot please except my apologies. You are all so kind and attentive – thank you so much. My husband and I are already making plans to return in March. We have found our happy place in San Jose del Cabo!

Luxury and convenience for a good price
It looks and feels like a proper luxury hotel. From infrastructure to service, to food. For the rate, hard to match in the area. And it's close to San Jose downtown, to get good local food.

Heavenly
Our stay at the JW Marriott Los Cabos was nothing short of extraordinary — even Mother Nature couldn’t shake that. During our visit, we experienced both an earthquake and a hurricane, yet the staff’s professionalism, calm, and genuine care turned what could have been a stressful situation into a story we’ll remember fondly. The ocean-view suite was breathtaking, with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez that felt like something out of a dream. Waking up to that view each morning was pure serenity. The culinary experiences were another highlight — every meal was fresh, creative, and delicious, showcasing the best of local flavors with impeccable presentation. What impressed us most was how seamlessly the resort handled everything during the unexpected weather events. Safety measures were communicated clearly, service never wavered, and the atmosphere remained peaceful and welcoming throughout. JW Marriott Los Cabos exceeded every expectation — a place where luxury meets resilience and hospitality shines even in the most unpredictable moments. We can’t wait to return to this remarkable resort.

A Truly Exceptional Stay - The Staff Made All the Difference
Just returned from an incredible 3-day stay at JW Marriott, and I can’t stop raving about this place! What sets this hotel apart isn’t just the luxury amenities (though those are impeccable) - it’s the extraordinary staff culture that made our trip unforgettable. **The Team Spirit is Unmatched** From the moment we arrived, we noticed something special about the staff. They genuinely seem to enjoy working together and supporting each other. Restaurant staff would enthusiastically recommend their colleagues at other venues, creating a wonderful sense of camaraderie. Everyone was warm, smiling, and eager to help throughout our entire stay. **Outstanding Dining Experiences** The coffee shop staff were absolutely delightful - genuine, fun conversations paired with excellent coffee and to-die-for chocolate truffles. Marhuma restaurant delivered spectacular food (the octopus and short ribs were incredible) with gorgeous outdoor seating overlooking the pool and mountains. Restaurant manager Sophie and chef Javier provided exceptional, warm service that made us feel like VIPs. **Cafe D’Artiste - The Crown Jewel** But the real star was Cafe D’Artiste and its phenomenal team. We ended up dining there the first night and returning every evening for dessert and live music. Restaurant manager Erika is simply outstanding - when her bartender was out, she stepped behind the bar and crafted the most amazing tamarind mezcal and lychee martini (made with natural pulp, no syrups!). Her warmth and engagement made us feel like we’d made a new friend instantly. The entire team - Chef Mario, Enrique, Carla, and sommelier Montse - went above and beyond accommodating my wife’s food intolerances while creating magical evenings filled with wonderful live music. On our third night, the French-Mexican chef even came out to meet “the couple who’s been coming every night” after just returning from Puerto Vallarta. His genuine sweetness and passion for sharing the restaurant’s history was the perfect cap to our experience. **Impeccable Facilities** The gym and spa were absolutely pristine - I even witnessed staff polishing the wooden bases of lounge chairs, showing their incredible attention to detail. **Bottom Line** This is hospitality at its finest. Cafe D’Artiste alone deserves Michelin recognition, and the entire JW Marriott team has created something truly special. We’re already planning our return and will definitely be visiting the original Cafe D’Artiste location in Puerto Vallarta. Highly recommended!

Our Amazing Getaway at the JW Marriott in San Jose delCabo
The level of hospitality here from the beginning to the end was amazing. Special mention to Elifonso for always going out of his way to assist us during our stay. Another special mention to Hector who went above and beyond to assist my wife when she was having a great stroke. Please make sure you tip these fine staff members as they treated us more like family than guests. The room we got was the Taypa Suite, the best room in the hotel. We had our own hot tub on the balcony that we could use 24/7. The BVGALRI soaps and lotions were so good, and I loved the stool for the shower. The atmosphere with the tile layout made for a much cooler feeling inside the room. Housekeeping was amazing, and I can't speak enough on the cleanliness of our room. Our housekeeper Juliana even made us a towel rabbit, it was too cute! As far as the noise level of the room was concerned, we went during the off season. So the hotel was pretty empty, which made for a more quiet experience. The Jasha Spa was amazing as well! And when booking a spa treatment you get access to the facilities the whole time it's open. I highly recommend it. We went to Luchador Tacos on September 15 for their Mexican Independence celebration and it was so much fun! Also Marhumo is an amazing wood grilled restaurant that we smelled our entire stay on our balcony. The swim up adult only bar was also a must when visiting. Pina Coladas in the water can't be beat. The only negative things I have aren't really the hotels fault. For example, this resort is huge, so much so that we requested golf cart service to pick us up so we can go to the lobby for excursions or to meet our drivers. Also the location of the hotel had two issues. The first being that we were next to the Sea of Cortez, so swimming in that water was not allowed. Plenty of pools, but you would have to go to Cabo San Lucas to swim in the Pacific Ocean side. The second issue is that the resort was so far away from anything else. To get to Cabo San Lucas out was over 30 minutes, to get to San Jose del Acbo it was around 15. So keep that in mind, but I'm not going to fault the resort for that. In fact it added to the quiet environment that we enjoyed so much. Finally the value of this location. Let be real, you get what you pay for. If you want cheap, go pay for it. I knew that I was spending a lot, but I feel like I got my money's worth. Amazing room, amazing staff, amazing amenities don't come cheap. In the end I highly recommend staying here if you want to enjoy a luxury get away, and say hi to Elifonso and Hector for me!
