Jul 28, 2025Nice stay at the Outrigger
The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort & Spa provided a satisfactory stay for my family. The pool and courtyard are great for families with young kids. The beach right outside the resort is great to look at, but not swimmable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and attended to our every need. The building is a little outdated and the rooms and hallways could use some TLC. The weight room is in desperate need of attention. If the rooms were a few hundred dollars cheaper, this resort would offer great value. However, considering the price and the shape of the resort, I would suggest looking elsewhere, even if it means spending a bit more money. with some renovations, this could be an awesome location for families.

Came to this resort for my birthday because the Outrigger in Waikiki is so highly rated. Housekeeping was okay, but really not great. Our room definitely wasn’t the cleanest upon arrival, but we didn’t want to fuss over it. Had a terrible experience one night with a security guard named Shaynell who spoke to both me and my boyfriend incredibly unprofessionally. We reported that to the front desk, where Shaynell continued to argue with us, and never heard about it again. We asked if a manager had been informed the next morning, and they said records showed he had been informed. I also wrote a lengthy email to the reservations/customer service team detailing the incident, which never was replied to. Food and service at the bar was good though. We had trouble with the parking overcharging us, as well as our wrist bands not working. To top it off, the last night, we sat outside our room for about 25 minutes waiting for someone to come unlock our door because the battery in the door was dead.

We had an event for work. Breakfast was delicious. Nelson and Jeff were excellent at our event. Both were very attentive and proactive to our needs. Mahalo!

Mahalo nui OUTRIGGER KAUAI BEACH RESORT & SPA
From our check in experience, SADIE at the front desk was the epitome of aloha. Her friendly smile and kindness made the start of our Kauai staycation already memorable. Special thank you to her. It’s all about first impressions and so rewarding to see someone just love to interact with people and could really see she enjoys being there. All of the staff we had an interaction with at Kauai Outrigger has all been so helpful, friendly and accommodating. This is the second time here and we are already looking forward to coming again. Mahalo nui loa to the great service and cleanly facilities!!

True Hospitality — Exceptional staff, service and atmosphere!
The hospitality at this resort was top-notch from start to finish. KIT gave us a warm welcome at bag service, and SADDIE made check-in quick and easy (special). When we had an issue with our room, SARAH and GLENDA handled it quickly and professionally — we truly felt taken care of. At Shutters Bar, GINA and HOLLY was friendly and attentive, and the live band (TOMMY & the UNCLES) created the perfect Hawaii atmosphere. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond.
