Apr 28, 2025A pleasant place to relax and unwind after exploring Kauai.
The room was very nice and a great place to relax after a long day out. The walls were well soundproofed and everything felt very clean and well kept. The grounds are beautiful with orchids growing on several trees. The pools are nice and the hot tub is a great place to unwind after hiking. The hotel is located on a great part of the island with a lot of good restaurants nearby (Tiki Tacos!!) We loved our time here! The only thing that could be improved was the parking. The spaces are very small and finding a spot at night was very hit or miss but they do have complimentary valet so we could just use that when nothing else was available.

Amazing stay!!!!!!
Our first trip to Kauai, celebrating our 35th anniversary, Kauai Shores Hotel was wonderful! Novella was so welcoming during check-in and made us feel right at home. Our ocean view room was so clean and comfortable! We loved having a walkout lanai to enjoy the live music from the Lava Lava Beach Club. We were literally just steps from the ocean and enjoyed so many sunrises from the comfort of the provided beach chairs. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows. Complimentary beach towels were a daily bonus. The landscaping was beautiful, so many tropical flowers and birds. We were centrally located on the island, making it very convenient to access all that Kaua’i had to offer. We loved having the Coconut Marketplace next door and enjoyed the food, shopping, and hula shows! Every staff member we encountered at Kaua’i Shores made us feel welcome! Kauai Shores IS the place to stay and we hope to return again someday. Mahalo!!!!!!

Highly recommend
Incredibly helpful front desk staff - dropped by at 9am to just leave bags at the desk and they had a room available to check in 7 hours early it was incredible. Room doors are a bit thin, comfortable beds and linens - k cup coffee and water fountain on site. Bikes available to grab - parking spaces are very tight and filled easier to just drop off for complimentary valet 6a-11p. Great walkable location - farmers market nearby. Lava lava beach club is attached and has phenomenal chowder

Awesome hotel
Very family friendly. Great location and service. Pools and hot tub were a blessing as kids played there everyday. Parking can be a challenge at night but free valet service made it a non-issue. Close to all the attractions. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful location on the east coast of Kauai!
The hotel is attached to the Lava Lava Beach Club and next door to the Coconut Marketplace, which offers shopping (including an ABC grocery store) and free hula/fire dance performances. The hotel property was beautiful and included many convenient touches (multiple water bottle refilling stations and lounge chairs at the beach). Yoga on the beach was fun and is included in the resort fee.
