Unique and wonderful experience
We spent 2 weeks at Laluna, and it was amazing, a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful, a little bay with only two small hotels, and when we were there it was almost like a private beach. We loved our cabin (more about those stairs later!), it was a fantastic place to sit and watch the sunset. Great bed too, which you don't get in every hotel. The open-air bathroom was an interesting touch. The plunge pool honestly wasn't much use. It's very small and built of concrete, including the surround, so rather utilitarian. Useful for a quick cool-off, but some tiles would make all the difference. We came for a relaxing holiday and we certainly had that - we were happy to lounge on the beach, catching up on our reading, having refreshing cocktails and enjoying the excellent food. We had a couple of excursions, one trip to some sights nearby, a sunset cruise (which was almost private, and a lovely experience), and the obligatory shopping trip - thanks to Elvis, our chauffeur. All the staff are lovely, very pleasant and always willing to help. Best points were the beach (obviously!), the cabin in the middle of the rainforest, the relaxed atmosphere and an excellent Balinese massage. The chef in the restaurant is excellent and the food is of very high quality. However, after 2 weeks when the menu didn't change except for the chef's specials, we were struggling a bit to find something new. There were no actual bad points, so I'll just give some suggestions. 1. The roads are pretty rough and ready, lots of potholes and roadworks, and the hills are very steep. Lots of people (mostly younger than us) did hire a car, but if you don't want the hassle of dodging the potholes and the locals, you might prefer to let someone else do the driving. 2. Access to most of the cabins requires a climb of at least 40 steps, and they're not easy steps. If you have mobility issues, there's one beach cabin that doesn't require a climb, and you might prefer that. We're in our 70s and managed the climb OK (it was certainly good exercise), although it was always a relief to get back to the cabin for the night! There are golf carts that will take you to the top of the site, where you can walk down the hill to your cabin instead. A proper handrail on the stairs would be helpful, as the steps can be slippery when it's wet. 3. There is a shop on site but it sells very little, only a few local souvenirs and some basic essentials. It would have been nice to have had a few snacks for the beach, perhaps. There are no other shops within walking distance, so be prepared for that. 4. The cabins are provided with mosquito coils and nets - we would burn a coil before going to bed, and used the nets each night. That definitely helped, but we still got some mosquito bites, so bring insect repellant and antihistamine cream. This is obviously expected for the Caribbean, it's not a criticism. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday, it was everything that we'd hoped for. Laluna is a unique experience. If you prefer a Radisson, you probably won't like it, but if you like an informal holiday in a beautiful setting, you can't do better.

Perfect Spot on a beautiful beach.
We absolutely loved Laluna and everyone there. It was a beautiful location. The beach was pristine and stunning. It was so peaceful and just the perfect experience. The rooms were beautifully done and very cozy. We felt like we had our own home unlike a hotel stay. There was so much privacy. It was a clean and quite oasis and great spot to bond with my daughter. The service provided by the bar staff, the reception, the front desk, the maintenance people, and the restaurant staff was so friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect spot and very reasonably priced. We cannot wait to get back to Laluna Boutique hotel & Villas.

Perfection in Paradise
Laluna has been my go-to place in Grenada for the past 15+ years, and it never disappoints!!!! EVERYTHING is provided with a high level of standard. The rooms (cottages) are charming, well-appointed, and private. The food is consistently the best that Grenada has to offer, serving local fish, delicious pastas, salads, and much more! The beach is private and I often find myself able to enjoy an afternoon in the company of only a couple of others, or even alone. Notably, the owners- Bernardo and Wendy- are the quintessential hosts, providing a warm and welcoming environment to all.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel
Laluna is a beautiful hotel about 10 minutes drive from St Georges and the airport. It has a beautiful private beach and lovely views of the ocean from their hillside cottages. The cottages each have a private plunge pool and king size beds. The restaurant is open air just feet from the ocean.

Misleading information on this property on the website
Do not stay here! It’s a step above tent camping, let me explain. This property is severely misrepresented on their website. The pictures are not accurate to show what it actually looks like. The pool is dirty and dingy. Nobody in their right mind would go into it and it was completely empty of people. The check in process is disjointed. My husband and I waited outside by our luggage. Someone eventually came to greet us. She moved us to the bar area, left our luggage on the side street on the side road. We waited and waited and eventually provided us with our key. Didn’t discuss the property’s amenities, and when we asked about Marriott Bonvoy status (we are titanium) she said we don’t honor status here. Again, Nothing regarding that on their website. Regardless, She handed us the key and then searched for a colleague who would come take us to the room on the hill. Two of these men said they were busy then one finally said he would help, As if he was doing her a favor. Liked mention earlier, The pictures online are grossly misleading. It’s one step above camping. Once we got to our room, it was hot. She turned on the AC. Took a long time to cool. That was the least of our issues. As we were unpacking I saw a rodent on my nightstand. It was on the side table right next to where my head would be. We called down to remove it. Someone came, with nothing in hand and went outside to retrieve a tree branch from the woods and coerced the rodent outside. Not far enough because later that evening it was back in bathroom. Along with the hundreds of mosquitoes. I couldn’t use the bathroom at all and was petrified to go in there. In the room there is only one outlet, on one side of the room. The beds are covered with a net in order to alleviate any bugs to get in, well doesn’t work. We left early the next morning. We explained to the front desk that this property is not as described and extremely misleading. They didn’t care and refused to credit us the remaining 2 nights. They said to email the owner. We have reached out to the owner with no response. I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE! I’m baffled by the reviews and feel very strongly that those reviews cannot be trusted.
