Staff 5* But First and last impressions matter, and unfortunately, the ending of our trip has put us off returning.
Firstly, I’ll start with the positives. The staff were absolutely fabulous – so attentive, friendly, and welcoming (5 stars for the staff alone!). The location was also excellent, right by the beach, close to everything, and with taxis available right outside. Our room was clean and spacious, and the housekeeping staff came in daily and always greeted us with a smile – they were just lovely. On the other hand, we did find the lack of some basic touches disappointing. A mini refrigerator in the room would have made a huge difference, along with some simple additions like a kettle or coffee machine. My husband and I love having a morning coffee together on the balcony, but that wasn’t possible here. Even in budget apartments we’ve stayed in before, we’ve always had a fridge for milk, fruit, or yogurts. For a week-long vacation that wasn’t cheap, we really missed those essentials. The food and restaurants were okay but felt quite repetitive over the course of the stay. As for the entertainment area, it was far too hot – with no A/C and only a large ceiling fan in what was basically an indoor/outdoor room. It made it uncomfortable to stay and enjoy the shows as we ended up leaving early just to cool down in our room. One of the biggest letdowns, however, was at check-out. Once you’re checked out, you’re no longer able to enjoy the resort amenities at all, and we felt staff treated us very differently from that moment onward. At one point, after leaving briefly to get cash to tip the porters, we were stopped rather harshly by a security guard on return. It left a very unpleasant final impression. Other resorts we’ve stayed at (including a large 5* in the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon) allow guests to continue using the facilities until departure, which feels much more respectful and welcoming. Overall, the wonderful staff and great location made this a pleasant stay, but sadly, the lack of basic in-room amenities, repetitive food, uncomfortable entertainment space, and the way guests are treated at check-out left us disappointed. First and last impressions matter, and unfortunately, the ending of our trip has put us off returning.

A good experience at the Italian Restaurant in Las Palmas By The Sea Hotel.
La atención al huésped fue muy buena de parte de los del Staff Cesar, Sergio, y Chris. Siempre muy atentos al servicio en el Restaurante Italiano. The food was really good. I asked for the Guakamajazz Salad, Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta and the chocolate cake for dessert. My mom asked for the Shrimp Soup, the Steak Kabobs and a Cappuccino for dessert. Everything was good and well presented.

Nice little hotel with two pools. Food at the buffet is very limited, bland, and repetitive. You can make reservations at one of the two specialty restaurants, which had pretty good food, but you have to be on-site between 11 am and 1 pm, which is pretty inconvenient. Snacks aren't really available - you have to sit down in a restaurant, and there's no place to sit and have a drink before dinner.
