Oct 19, 2025Thoroughly spoilt, what an amazing few days
We treated ourselves to a stay at Live Aqua as it was our 30th wedding anniversary and we had spent a week down in Playacar. Well what can I say - from the moment we were greeted at the libby and whisked to the 5th floor Club lounge to the moment we left it was luxury and fabulous service all the way. We had a Tierra suite (selected over the Aqua suite even though it is cheaper, because the balcony is glass so you get an uninterrupted view of the ocean. It was huge, beautifully appointed with a massive comfy bed, twin sinks and large rain shower. Additional wc near the door and kitchen/lounge area looking out to sea. The food was spectacular everywhere, we ate in MB and the Hidden Garden twice each, we are particular fans of Asian fusion food so Hidden Garden pipped it. When you pay for Club you get a butler (shout out to Sakny and Rodrigo - thank you!) who deals with your reservations for restaurants, room service, Bali bed selection etc (you get one of these daily along with a free 20 minute foot massage at the bed). We had room service breakfast twice which was amazing (the eggs Benedict and French toast are awesome) and lots of lunchtime snacks at the pool. Jonathan the pool bar chap was amazing too. The beach area is simply stunning, a bit of a choppy sea one day but such fun to be out in the clear blue sea. The shopping mall across the road is great, both luxury brands like LV and Bulgaria, and there is a “wheel” which gives you great views of Cancun by night. Overall a total premium luxury stay, made fabulous memories and we will return before too long!

I have to give a shout out to Varenna and staff. By far the best food and service. Susanna and Mario for evening and Jose( he was great in multiple locations) for lunch really made it extra special for us. I have a gluten allergy and although the menu doesn't state gf they offer the most options and are extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very secure in what I was ordering and it was delicious. The chef even came out and talked with us because Susanna wanted us to feel good about what we were ordering. Top notch people, service, and food. We ate here 3 times during our week stay. I wish I had known sooner that they were so good with my allergy.

Best couples resort
An incredible experience of relaxation. The hotel itself is not a 5 star luxury feel…. Maybe 20 years ago. The rooms were great. Food was delicious for an all inclusive. The Asian restaurant was the best one there. Loved the pool and beach areas. Excellent staff all around. Cleaning crew wee so kind. Loved the location and beach. Would definitely come back.

The customer service from everyone was great,
Edouard gave us great customer service, was very friendly, and went above and beyond for our party of four. The swim up bar had awesome bartenders, Manuel went above and behind for us also. They made our vacation so enjoyable and memorable.

Best staff, beautiful resort!!!
Beautiful resort, wonderful staff, very walkable and intimate, overall great experience! Food was great for all-inclusive. Andres, Manuel, Jonathon and Crescencio all went above and beyond for us in the swim up pool bar area every day. They really took the time to make sure we had everything we needed, were so fun to talk to, and were all so very kind. Extra special shout out to Andres-he was amazing. He helped get our comfy poolside beds setup every day and we just loved laying there staring at the beautiful ocean. We’re so glad our paths crossed with these gentlemen! Highly recommend!
