Memorably amazing.
Just got back from a 7 day stay at the resort. Our second trip there and as always, food and facility was great. Entertainment could use a little improvement. The beach was hard to swim in as the weeds from the ocean tend to wash up on the shores in the summers on Bavaro beach. Want to send out my appreciation to Camila at the Service desk who made my stay warm and comfortable by providing reservation requests from restaurant to golf and finding a functional wheel chair for my use during my stay. Noel in VIP lounge, for locating and getting a none functional wheel chair in time of need in the first two day of my stay. It was heaven sent to acquire even a wheelchair without a foot rest. It meant a lot for me for him to go out of his way and locate it at the end of the evening. Lastly, serving staffs at the Rodeo Grill, Pedro and Viagnes. They made it fun and memorable to be dining at the Grill restaurant. I loved the out door feel of the warm ocean breeze washing over us while having my ribeye steak. We golfed for three days and the course, that came complimentary, at the Punta Blanca golf course, was surprisingly in good condition. Easy to get morning tee times and not very busy. I would definitely play there again.

Comfortable, safe, clean, top service
This place was awesome. Very well maintained. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful. Our butler Marcelo was amazing. He found us every day to check in on us, always asked what we need and what can he do to make it a step better He even decorated our room for my families birthday. Super sweet. Leonard the bartender at the swim up bar always made us laugh and made great drinks Definitely will go back

beware of the food
So where to begin. The beaches were FULL of seaweed. Not the resorts fault but they could possibly clean or rake the beaches in the morning. The food was sub par to the point my whole family minus me got food poisoning… documented salmonella on our return to the US!!! The room was clean but a little outdated. The drinks were great… not your typical water downed all inclusive style. Our butler Darel was great and very attentive! We stayed on the 18+ side and the bartenders at our pool were AWESOME!!

Amazing Week at the Majestic Colonial!!
Majestic Colonial Punta Cana – Club Section – July 2025 Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just returned from a wonderful stay at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana in the Adults Only Club section, and I can confidently say—this won’t be our last time at this resort! Travel & Arrival: We booked with Air Canada Vacations, and everything went smoothly. Same-day flights with a short stop and plane change in Montreal (YUL) had us arriving in Punta Cana early in the afternoon. We used Go Majestic for our airport transfer and had zero issues. Quick, easy, and efficient. Check-In & Club Perks: Check-in at the VIP Club Lounge was quick and easy. Our butler greeted us, gave us a short tour of the property, and arranged for our luggage to be delivered to our room. Very smooth start! Room: We stayed in room 3140—a spacious, clean, and beautifully air-conditioned Club-level suite on the top (3rd) floor with elevator access. We had a stunning view of the pool and ocean from our balcony, which overlooked the swim-up bar in the Club section. The room keys were your wrist band!! So neat and such a relief not to have to carry key cards!! Pool & Activities: The pool bar in our section was open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Bali beds were free (first come, first served), and there was no reserving in advance—loved that! The animation team wasn’t very active at the Club pools, but if you wanted to participate in activities, the main pool was the place to go. Although the main pool allows kids, the atmosphere was always respectful and relaxed around the bar areas. Staff & Cleanliness: The cleaning staff were top-notch. Our room and the entire resort grounds were spotless. Every day, you could see staff taking pride in their work—fresh flowers, well-maintained walkways, and beautifully manicured gardens. Impressive attention to detail. Restaurants: The buffet was great for all meals—fresh, varied, and consistently tasty. We also tried the Steakhouse and Seafood House, which share a beautiful open-air restaurant space. No reservations required, and both were fantastic. I loved the ribeye steak, Caesar salad, calamari, wings, and the salad bar. At the Seafood House, I had the lobster—delicious! The à la carte restaurants include Japanese, Italian/French, and Mexican options. - If you want the teppanyaki show at the Japanese, make sure to make a reservation. - The Italian/French space is open for breakfast and lunch without a reservation but requires one for dinner. - Same goes for the Mexican. Note: Men must wear long pants for dinner at à la cartes. The French/Italian restaurant served my favorite meal of the trip—a perfectly cooked steak. The Street! This was a hidden gem—looked like an actual street on the resort with: - Evening shows at the main theatre - A casino, sports bar, nightclub - And best of all: McJestic – their version of a late-night street food stop with burgers, wings, mozza sticks, hotdogs, fries… you name it! Perfect for after-hours cravings. Standout Staff: Everyone was wonderful, but a special shout-out to: - Samuel, our butler, who went above and beyond decorating the room and organizing birthday celebrations for my friend. - Mirena, the amazing bartender at the swim-up bar—friendly, fast, and so fun! Beach: The beach was stunning, and although we visited during seaweed season, the staff worked tirelessly from 5:00 AM each day to keep it clean and swimmable. Hats off to them. Overall Vibe & Comparison: This was my first time staying at Majestic Colonial, and I instantly felt comfortable and relaxed. We also explored the neighboring Elegance and Mirage resorts. While all three properties were beautiful: - Colonial had a charming, Caribbean vibe—dark oak and vibrant colors. - Elegance leaned toward a more transitional style. - Mirage felt modern and sleek with white and marble finishes. While you can walk around all three resorts, food and drink access is limited to your own resort, which is totally fine since there was so much to enjoy at the Colonial. Final Thoughts: I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed at a range of resorts, but Majestic Colonial truly impressed me. Amazing service, relaxing atmosphere, great food, and stunning surroundings. I’ll absolutely be back!

Not bad just ok
This is my second time in Punta Cana. Perhaps I was spoiled at the Excellance punta cana because the service at Majestic didn't compare. I know there were a few employees who went above and beyond but a lot of things aren't done. I requested two doubles/queens for two rooms. Instead they gave us a bed in each room for a total of 5. I requested celebration for two birthdays and two graduations. I corresponded with the resort months prior. House cleaning didn't come everyday. We called room service for towels and they said ok but never brought them. Same with departure. We took our own luggage down. These are just a few examples. Minor things really but at the Excellance, I never had to ask for anything.
