⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars Only Because I Can’t Give 10 — The Best Hotel & Resort in Virgin Gorda!
If you’re looking for the best resort in the British Virgin Islands, stop searching—Mango Bay Resort is it. This isn’t just a hotel, it’s a slice of paradise. I’ve stayed at many hotels and resorts around the Caribbean, and Mango Bay stands out as the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Period. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. Mary Beth personally greeted me and gave me a warm, thoughtful tour of the property right away. Her welcome was so genuine and heartfelt—it set the tone for my entire stay. She is a true hospitalitarian and made me feel instantly at home. The views from the resort are unreal: crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and the softest white sand beach just steps away from my suite. This is the kind of resort you dream about when planning a luxury island escape. The rooms at this hotel resort are immaculate, modern, and perfectly equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every detail was thoughtfully designed—from the layout to the linens. The bed? Easily the best I’ve slept in on any island hotel. And the kitchen was stocked better than most apartments! What makes Mango Bay the best resort in Virgin Gorda isn’t just the stunning location, though that helps—it’s the privacy, the peace, and the feeling that you’ve discovered a hidden gem. Yet somehow, it still feels five-star in every sense of the word. I’ve already decided I’ll be coming back. This hotel and resort has earned a permanent spot on my best travel list. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, this is the best hotel resort for total relaxation and island luxury. Best hotel. Best resort. Best vacation. Mango Bay is the BEST.

True Ocean Front Living on the Best Beach
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Mango Bay Resort over the last week. We were debating about staying at a full-service resort vs. more of a villa style hotel. After speaking with friends who know the island, we decided the villa style is more of a "real" Virgin Gorda experience. We were very happy we made this decision. While there is no restaurant on site, we had a car and had groceries delivered before we arrived. 1) The location is perfect. The pictures on the web site do not give you a sense of how amazing the view is from the resort (including sunsets!). You have great snorkeling right out your door. You are close to Spanish Town and the Baths but still feel secluded. 2) Mary Beth is a very welcoming hotel manager who helped us with all the details and recommendations. She went out of her way to help us settle in when our bags were delayed. 3) We stayed in a large villa on the beach (#11) for most of the time and a smaller upstairs unit above the pool (#2A) for the last night b/c of availability. Beachfront is definitely the way to go--with wrap around water views and swimming just steps from your private patio. That said, both rooms were well appointed and had great mattresses (a must for us). We didn't feel we were lacking in our last night. 4) With our car we were able to freely zip around the island, try local hot spots, and make connections with incredibly warm local islanders who we would have never met if we stayed "on resort." For restaurants near the hotel, we recommend in order 1) CocoMaya (special night out) 2) Chez Bamboo (in town with great food, chill vibe, and the best Mojitos) 3) Sugarcane (right up the hill and great views). We did one lunch at the large resort near Spanish Town and honestly, while nice, it felt overrun compared with our near private beach at Mango Bay. One day we did a half day private boat charter with Ocean Bliss--which was a great way to get the "yacht" experience on the North Sound at a fraction of the price. We look forward to our next visit back, maybe we'll bring the kids--maybe not!

Simply fantastic stay
Mango Bay is a hidden gem in Virgin Gorda. The property is beautiful and Mary Beth, Lenny and the whole staff were wonderful to work with. The drawback of not having on site dining was far outweighed by Lenny and Mary Beth cooking dinner for us one evening at the villa., which was incredible. It feels like you have your own private beach and the units were clean, modern and well maintained. As a note, there is no air condition in the living room, but the bedrooms had great air conditioning. We really didn't have much use for the living area as we sat on the lanai staring at the incredible view the majority of the time anyway...We absolutely loved Mango and plan on returning next time to time we travel to BVI. Thank you to Mary Beth and Lenny for making us feel welcome and like long time friends...Cheers!

Great spot to stay
This was a lovely spot to stay. It is in a beautiful bay with nice swimming and is a small , quiet resort with beautiful rooms. The staff are excellent and were incredibly helpful when our taxi did not show up and we were going to miss the ferry (tip- book it for well in advance!); that really went above and beyond. There are plans to make a restaurant onsite which is great because you do need to arrive with food as there is none available nearby. Not a big deal unless you don't know that and arrive without a car. Would definitely stay again.

Great situation right on the beach
Quiet resort with 17 properties - It's not so much a resort as there are no dining, bar, gym or any resort socialising, you are self contained in your accommodation. We booked the last available unit for seven nights which was a small one bed apartment with a small kitchenette although not really a dining in facility if that's your thing, and a double shower room. Small but functional with a king bed and aircon directly above the bed, small dining table and two chairs and also one lounge style seat. There is also a wall mounted TV. There is no outside seating area just the beach or the pool at the rear of the grounds (mosquito's here in numbers at dusk!) The best properties for positioning are without doubt those on the front line with indoor and outdoor seating and directly on the beach. The resort provide kayak's, paddle boards and snorkel/mask/flippers, and Mary Beth the property owner couldn't have been more helpful. Setting, views and beach are magnificent and we hardly ever saw anyone else on the beach. It's only ten minutes by car from Spanish town. Downside was not having an outdoor area at the apartment, the lack of restaurant/bar/gym facilities and the housekeeping/maintenance could have been better. Internet was variable until is was reset. Mary Beth said they were building two restaurants that would be open next year. She is also aware of the housekeeping issues and i'm sure these will be sorted out.
