For us it was more of a 4 star hotel than a 5 star. It lacked some basic things that would make it a luxury hotel. The food was average and the rooms need some updates.

Hotel and grounds are beautiful. Our room lady was amazing. Buffet wasn’t very good on breakfast lunch or dinner.
Definitely needs buffet looking at more options available would be better and filling when stock low

Great value for money but not 5 star service overall
Great resort, beach beautiful… rooms & amenities top notch … spa & massage 5 star … restaurants delicious food .. inclusive yoga & massage @ stay by wellness… was amazing… , resort overall short staffed not sure if conscious decision due to season … however this did put pressure on staff working & perhaps more training needed… … and in some cases appearing in slow service … waiting for drinks in buffets & restaurants even after food served! having said that ….. some stand Out experiences…. From Ana @ jiggers … & delby & team @ calathea by the level beach ….

This hotel is ok, just ok. As you enter, it’s very beautiful and zen. They call themselves a wellness resort however it’s far from a wellness resort. We didn’t see any gluten-free options at this resort. There was lots of cross-contamination and limited tongs. We saw people picking up with their hands because there was not enough tongs. We also saw meat items that were undercooked. The buffet had long queues and the staff were monitoring the tables and would t let you eat at a 4 person table if you were two people which is odd! Resort was also extremely boring. Although it has activities, there is no lively music or a resort feel. There are even silent zones throughout the beach. Wifi doesn’t work around beach or pool area. After a day you get bored. Beach is full of seaweed and small. There are lots of boats and you can smell the gasoline from the motorboats. Our room also had the smell of sewage which completely took away from a 5 star experience. Just come here if you want to sleep and do nothing else. The bell boys are incredibly helpful and kind. Priority check-in was slow and took half an hour as we had to wait for one person to process one passenger. Whereas the general check-in had five employees working. We went to the general check in and they directed us back to priority only for us to wait for half an hour while they had no one. Why?!!!! Why can’t all your check in staff check in guests. The Resort is huge and it’s basically the lobby them the hotel rooms and then the beach and pools. The pools were icy cold and you could not swim in them overall we would not recommend this resort.

Love! Love! Love! We were at the Level at the Melia Punta Cana Beach and we had a fantasitc time! Food was great, service was excellent, the gardens are beautiful, the rooms and all the hotel space is very clean, the lobby is stunning.We had a concierge that was ok, mostly just to reserve the restaurants. We had to ask a couple of times for washcloth and extra blankets but these are very minor details. Overall, we absolutely adored our vacations!
