Home Cooking, Friendly Smiles, Beautiful Views
We loved our week in a villa at Mount Cinnamon. You know you are in a good resort when you can remember so many of the staff's names: Rondell and Laura welcomed us at reception and are the perfect mix of friendly and professional. Laura took the time to mark all sorts of recommendations for day trips on a map for us. Her tips ended up being the highlights of our stay (Laura's Herb Garden, how to successfully park downtown, and lunch right on the water at Sail's Restaurant. We saw nutmeg growing on a tree for the first time in our lives, which was thrilling--not to mention many other spices.) Mario runs the on-site gym and the gym room itself is beautifully equipped and run meticulously by him. He also gave us excellent ideas for things to do on the island, and welcomed us each day with a handshake and a smile, which motivated us to actually USE the gym every single day of our stay. We enjoyed home cooked breakfasts in the beautiful outdoor dining room, lunch and drinks at the beach, and dinners back in the same main dining room. The food was superb, especially the specials (the fresh caught creole fish and hash in the morning, and Trinidadian chicken curry at night were amazing. They also serve nutmeg ice cream, nutmeg French toast, homemade yogurt with nutmeg-scented stewed fruits--the list goes on and includes many local culinary delights). The only tips of caution we would advise: the entire resort is really built on a steep, steep hill (that is how you have beautiful views from your room). We are fit and enjoyed the climb back to our room after every meal or activity. The hotel offers a little minivan shuttle if you don't want to walk, but this will add wait-time to your days (we never used it). We asked via e-mail (before our arrival) if renting a car was advisable. The staff said yes, most guests rent cars. We found this NOT to be true. We were the only guests in the place with our own car, and the roads in Grenada are extremely narrow with cliffs and deep ditches off to the sides. So if you venture out, you need to be comfortable driving on the left AND navigating treacherous roads (with oncoming traffic that beeps at you and barely yields any space). After 2 days of site-seeing, my husband was done with this stress, and we did not take our car out after that. (Oh, and the man at Hertz told us that the "AC sometimes works, sometimes doesn't" and one of the windows often gets stuck, so don't use it." We had a laugh and chalked it all up to being a "cultural experience." It sure was. If you can meet these unexpected challenges with a sense of humor, you will love touring around Grenada. If this stresses you out, then Grenada may not be for you). One of us had a massage at the small spa with Janelle. She was superb. One of the best massages ever. Left us feeling good after all that gym-doing, swimming and hiking. Overall, we loved our stay. Mt. Cinnamon is NOT the Four Seasons. It has a very laid-back, home-cooking, salt--of-the earth sort of vibe. They are definitely on Caribbean time (for example, order coffee in the morning, wait 15 minutes for it to arrive at your table). So enjoy the warm breezes and beautiful view while you wait.

Ten night stay.
Great ten night stay. Laura and staff here ensure that guest satisfaction is not only met but exceeded. The hotel is in a lovely position and is very comfortable. We particularly liked the beach cabana where meals and drinks are served in a very relaxed atmosphere. The bonfire night music and drinks should not be missed . We did not require transfer up and down the slope but on several occasions we were asked by staff if we required it. The beach staff were exceptionally helpful in setting out the sun beds and towels . Gentle slope into sea. Front desk staff are very willing to organise and recommend trips etc . The arrangements of taxi transfer to and from airport are appreciated . I’m sure we will return .

Warm Grenadian welcome
Stayed in a cinnamon suite, large room with everything you could want. Breakfast was very good quality with lots of choice. The girls at breakfast Annabelle, Cecile and Sabrina such friendly young ladies always doing their job with a smile and time for a chat. The reception team Laura, Rondell and Joshua so pleasant and nothing to much trouble to arrange a real credit to the hotel. Food in the restaurant consistently good and also at the beach bar. Would I stay again, definitely!

A Gem on Grande Anse beach!
Wonderful week at Mt Cinnamon. Our Cinnamon Suite was large and the balcony had an amazing view of Grande Anse and across to St George's. The hotel and beach were beautiful and the drinks and food were so good - don't miss the roti at the beach club! The hotel is all the way at one end of Grande Anse so it is quiet and peaceful. Hotel manager Laura and all the staff were warm and friendly and so helpful - whether we needed restaurant recommendations, drivers, excursion help - nothing was too much to ask for. We will definitely be back!

Try it yourself you will love it
Where do I start …. Mount Cinammon is first class from start to finish. We have just spent 10 amazing days with them. We had a Hacienda Suite which was perfect (possibly too big for two but we still enjoyed the space), our view was to die for & even on a rained off day we could chill in the villa. Let’s get to ‘the hill’ yes it’s on a hill BUT they have this covered, you can walk up cutting through the villas with the steps (we were at the top) or (if like me on some days) you need a bit of help when it’s hot then the shuttle will take you up & down if you like. They also pick you up from local areas with just a quick what’s app call for USD 5. The staff are all amazing, friendly, polite, will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. The beach is stunning. We used Savvy’s more than The Flying Fish but service & food in both was spot on. I honestly cannot say a bad word about this resort, yes I would go back without a doubt. Thank you Mount Cinnamon for a wonderful 10 days. Hope to see you all again soon
