    Occidental at Xcaret

    It was very nice. Resort needs some improvements but overall for the price it was good. The pool needs updating as well as the rooms.

    Lackluster food

    Beds and linens were excellent, but the rooms furniture, decor and fixtures are very dated and need overhauled. Grounds are beautiful with lots of wild life. Service was excellent but all the food and restaurants was mediocre at best.

    Excellent Resort for all groups

    This was our 1st time out of the USA, we were not sure exactly what we would encounter. But the Occidental at Xcaret Destinations handled everything perfectly. From transportation to and from the airport. The rooms, service, food/bars, pools and cleanliness of everything. The eco park is a must and swim with the dolphins. They have wild "but safe" animals on the grounds and you would not know it if you did not see them all the time! This was the best vacation we could ask for for our 1st time out of the USA. If you are on the fence about booking... just do it! you will not be disappointed. We went off season in late August over Labor Day.
