Sep 21, 2025Fantastic stay at Ocean Maya Royale
We’ve not long come back from a fabulous stay at this resort and would be one we’d love to return to. We met many people who had been coming many years and kept coming back. The resort wasn’t too big and very clean, the only issue was the seaweed on the beach but it’s seaweed season and it was always being cleaned, so no issue and we went in the sea a few times. The pools are also very big and a lovely option that we made full use of. The option to go to a sit down restaurant every night really made the holiday and meant we were able to have a relaxing meal and not worry about walking round a buffet and the food in the restaurants was fantastic. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there and booked Privilege and felt it was worth the upgrade as we were well looked after by David our butler and meant we could get priority bookings in restaurants, including the privilege restaurant where we were very well looked after by Alejandro (Alex) who was also a star. The staff there are brilliant and as well as David and Alejandro, Jorge and Jesus in the pool area are friendly and very helpful and are also superstars. Shout out to Oscar the waiter, Jorge and his crew in the lobby bar who never forgot what I was drinking. The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive and my eggs were expertly cooked by Dayna and we were served by a cheery Gaby, Aurelia and Esperanza (I think) . Other wonderful staff too. We booked for the Mayan dinner and that was a wonderful evening, where the food portions were great and they accommodated my special dietary request. They also acknowledged our anniversary on the night and housekeeping decorated the room. We are very jealous of guests who return time and time again and would love to go back someday soon. Jorge please get my Bombay and tonic ready and Jesus my Margarita on ice by the pool, Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Outstanding Experience
Absolutely amazing!! Staff so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for making our 20 year anniversary celebration and first time out of the country amazing ❤️. The Mayan dinner is a MUST do! Thank you for taking the time to give an amazing dinner, dance, and educational experience we will never forget!

So far so great!
This is our third day here and it has been very accommodating. Our butler Fabian is fabulous, Rosario in premium concierge. Pilar at the front desk. David with the spa. The privilege restaurant (coconut shrimp and sea bass) is something I’ll think about for awhile! And can’t forget about Kendall with entertainment who is the absolute best. Looking forward to the rest of our time here!

A place to repeat
Where can I even start with this review, this place is awesome. From the bartenders in the sports bar at night, marcelo y manuel. To the pool bartender miguelito..thats our to go person all day by the pool. Kendall and his entertainment team go above and beyond, Moises its sooo nice and funny. Its hard to pick ur favorite person here. Also let me not forget about the chef at the hibachi restaurant, Cesar. This place its unforgettable for sure, its our second time here and to many more times to come!!!!!!!
