  Expect more for the price

  We paid extra for a beach view room and did not receive it. We also tried to use the outside jacuzzi, but staff immediately told us we couldn’t because it was leaking downstairs. Inside the room, the bathtub had loose screws and was leaking as well. We had to let two different maintenance people into our room on different days during our stay to try to fix it. I also got cut by an outside chair because it was missing a handle, which is a safety issue. The staff were very polite and helpful, which we appreciate. However, the buffet breakfast both mornings was disappointing—it was very noticeable that food was reused. The pancakes were extremely hard. The shows were nice, but the noise carried straight into our room. We were traveling with our child, and he couldn’t fall asleep until late because of the loud music. Overall, good service from staff, but several room, safety, food quality, and noise issues affected our experience.

  Outstanding / Excepcionales

  Enrique and Yazmailin at Beach Club Kana are absolutely outstanding. They took exceptional care of me over a two-day period as beach concierges and servers, and their professionalism truly stood out. Even under the pressure of difficult guests and a busy beach environment, they remained calm, friendly, and incredibly attentive at all times. Their service was warm, thoughtful, and consistent, they anticipated needs, handled every situation smoothly, and made the entire experience feel effortless and relaxing. Enrique and Yazmailin are not only fantastic at what they do, but they also bring great energy and kindness to the beach club. They are a true credit to Paradisus Palma Real, and they made my stay significantly more enjoyable. Thank you both for such excellent service! Durante dos días completos me atendieron como beach concierges y meseros, y su nivel de profesionalismo fue impresionante. Incluso bajo la presión de huéspedes difíciles y en un ambiente muy concurrido, siempre se mantuvieron tranquilos, amables y atentos. Su servicio fue cálido, detallista y constante. Se anticiparon a todo, resolvieron cada situación con mucha elegancia y lograron que la experiencia fuera relajada y perfecta. Además de ser excelentes en su trabajo, transmiten una energía muy positiva. Enrique y Yazmailin son un gran orgullo para Paradisus Palma Real y marcaron una gran diferencia en mi estancia. ¡Muchísimas gracias por un servicio tan extraordinario!

  Great beach, nice resort, Food is not good !!!!!

  Beach is great, resort is beautiful, rooms nice but food quality sucks . This review is based on comparison to many resorts across Caribbean and Mexico and regular travelers around the world . Review based on 7 day stay. Food (2 / 5) - no flavor at, recycled during the day, people mixing spoons and risk with cross contamination very high for people with allergies. Also some of the food looked unappealing - lying for a long time and seafood not on ice / ice melted. Restaurants were ok - Dominican restaurant was good, Mexican ok at best, steak decent, italian tolerable. Even Sante in reserve was not good, except for the breakfast. Christmas Eve dinner was good with lots of choices but again compared to some other places could be better. Service was ok at restaurants but not great in buffet where they seemed understaffed and not trained in customer service. I really wish management redo their entire food scene and food service and it will change the dynamic of this resort completely. Beach (5 / 5) - is great and they work really hard to keep it clean from sargassum. There are some great staff who make drinks and they were always friendly and we tipped them for it. Service by the beach was mixed - if u asked u got it but there was no proactiveness. Also if u spoke Spanish then there seemed to be a clear bias which may be just language comfort. However we enjoyed beach a lot, played lot of beach volleyball, long walks and swimming in the ocean . It is wonderful. Beach vendors come around but don’t really bother you if you say no. The hotel also had security around the beach which was comforting. Activities (3/5) - were planned for the day and evening but energy in resort seems a bit low Checking and concierge (5/5) - very helpful and friendly and he was always responsive to any texts and knowledgeable of what’s going on. He helped us with restaurant booking and recommendations and was a friendly face through the vacation. We had transportation via Otium (u have to go to the counter at airport) and it was seamless both ways Rooms (5/5) - stayed in reserve and were nice and they had a cheese plate and wine for us in arrival in reserve section. The room had nice balcony to relax when needed. The bathrooms were very clean and room service was good. I would recommend upgrading the comforter - would be a nice touch. We didn’t use room service but they stocked the fridge well with water, soft drinks and beer. The rooms in other section were also decent and seemed upgraded. All in all - we would love to be back but food scene will likely not result in a second trip as much as we want to be back for the beach.

  Kids Club Kidsdom

  Our kids are typically apprehensive to leave our side. They were absolutely obsessed with the kids club (kidsdom) from the second we got to the hotel. They loved all the staff members and activities; they actually preferred hanging there than with us! We couldn’t recommend coming here more, we had a great experience! Thank you to the loving and caring team who welcomed our children with open arms and kept them so busy and entertained!
