Average hotel
Average experience. While the animation team is excellent and provides great entertainment, the rest of the stay was disappointing. The beach was covered in seaweed that was only cleaned once. Most importantly, we encountered a serious issue today. We reserved our sunbeds with towels at 5:30 AM, but upon returning after breakfast, we discovered that a security staff member named Juan had accepted a bribe to give our reserved spots to someone else. The guest who took our spots then verbally harassed my husband. We will not be returning to this hotel.

A honeymoon to remember
My husband and I went to the Punta Cana Princess for our honeymoon in January. The service was top notch and everyone that worked there was so personable. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect honeymoon. Yes as reviews indicate the rooms are older but we didn’t mind. The cleaning staff kept everything clean. We can’t thank Miguel the concierge enough. He was amazing and if you need anything connect with him when you are there. He is the BEST!! Maria at the front desk was such a sweetheart and also very helpful. The atmosphere was so great! As it’s a smaller resort we were able to connect with many other couples and people vacationing who we hung out with and participated in the nightly entertainment with. We loved the silent disco and karaoke night! Luis the server in the buffet was wonderful. He made sure I always had my red wine and was so friendly. We loved having him as a server. The a la cartes provided a nice variety for dinner which we loved. You have access to them at the two other resorts. We enjoyed walking over to the coffee house in the morning to have espresso, cappuccino and a fresh croissant. The beach was lovely and easy to find a place to lay by the beach or the pool. We enjoyed the environment of the pool. Frank the bartender at the swim up bar was the best. Recommend having a banana mama or chunky monkey to start your day. At night we loved seeing Adrian the bartender down by the beach who made delicious espresso martinis. We appreciate everything Punta Cana Princess did to make our honeymoon one we will never forget. The special dinner at Mare Nostrum was romantic and delicious. It even included a piece of freshly made wedding cake. Not located far from the airport which was great!

Terrible experience
Rooms are amazing, grounds are beautiful and it is spotlessly clean, however, for the 1st nine days I had no hot water, no internet for 3 days, leaking toilet for 5 days then they moved me for my final 6 days, I had lovely hot water but air con unit leaked so had a shower in my hallway up until I left they had to replace fridge as it was broken, I had no phone and the patio door didn’t lock and I was on ground floor, the food was atrocious, nothing was hot, never gain will I step foot in a princess hotel

Beautiful, Quiet Adults Only Resort
The vibe at the Punta Cana Princess is very calm, quiet and mellow which was EXACTLY what I was looking for. This is a quiet, adults-only resort. They had a few fun little games at the pool every day which weren’t too loud, too long or too intrusive. The beach is very clean & filled with permanent, thatched-roof, umbrella-like structures. You have to sign out your towels from the towel hut. There was still some sargasm on the beach (not too bad) while I was there the last week of December 2025. Water was lovely and little wavy when I was there. Lifeguard was on duty every day. Beach vendors were very polite and quickly moved along with a gentle "no gracias." You never have to make a reservation at the Punta Cana Princess. The food is ok. I was on the property for 3 full days and I tried a lot of different options. The fresh egg station during breakfast was the best. You can get fresh cooked eggs to your liking or a fresh omelette with several ingredients to choose from. So good!! Buffet lunch was fine. Nothing fancy. Plenty of options. Buffet dinner had the most options. Desserts were always incredible. The only issue was that there was very little food to choose from when the buffet was closed 2x/day. I think it was closed between 10:30am and 1pm and then again from 3pm to 6pm. There is a “snack bar” open 24 hours on the property, but those options there were EXTREMELY limited. If I were to go again, I would probably just walk next door to their sister resort when the buffet closed at the Punta Cana Princess. I never ordered room service. There are (4) a la carte restaurants on the property, but only (2) are open each night. As a result, I only went to the steak house once and had delicious chazitos. I went to the hibachi place at the property next door (Tao) and the vibe was total chaos over there, but the actual hibachi dinner was really delicious. I never got sick while I was in Punta Cana. The hotel room itself was clean & large, but dated. Beds were low and a little firm. Sheets were clean and crisp with soft blankets. The mini bar was a loud dorm fridge that only had 2 cokes, 2 sprites, 2 waters and 2 cans of beer. AC was pretty strong, but also very loud. Great ceiling fan that was very quiet and really moved the air around. You can control your own room temp with your own in-room thermostat. TV had plenty of English speaking channels to choose from. I think I just watched STARZ the whole time I was there. The TV in my room had USB, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet and additional display ports as well. You absolutely HAVE to bring your own wall chargers and there are limited outlets that are nowhere near the beds, so bring your long charging cords. Never used the in-room jacuzzi. Shower was great, just keep your mouth shut and don’t ingest any water at any time from any faucet in your hotel room. Brush your teeth with bottled water. Housekeeping was really awesome about consistently leaving plenty of water bottles after they cleaned my room every day. Free wifi was fine for me. Weak signal on the beach, marginal signal at the pool, strong signal in room, buffet & lobby. They have a wifi upgrade available for extra $$. Most Princess staff speak Spanish and some English. The service was fantastic everywhere. Wonderful staff at the resort. Highly recommend tipping $1-2 USD for every drink, then $3-5 USD to every food server. Definitely makes a difference! Miguel was wonderful at the Guest Services Desk - that's where you have to go if you want reservations at their sister resort next door. Nightly entertainment starts at 9:30pm. I really enjoyed the Beach Party, I skipped the karaoke, and the Silent Disco was absolutely my favorite by far. So fun! If you get the itch to party hearty, you can always walk (or shuttle) right next door to their sister property called the Tropical Princess and absolutely tear it up over there. That's the party place with lots of people, music, activities and bars everywhere.

Returned guest and just not the same
This was my seventh time to this resort and it has gone down hill. Rooms are really tired. Food variety and flavor has decreased and the biggest difference is the beach! The beach area is smaller due to increased water level and you have to walkthrough neighboring resort to walk down beach, as well as lots of seaweed. One of the things that bothered me the worst was customer service, when I am told something, I believe it is going to happen and when I returned to question the conversation, I was rudely addressed by the head of customer service. Totally not appreciated.
