  From arriving at rui Arecas in October we were treated amazing, staff are the best apart from rui monica, all deserve a pay rise ,hotel lovely food lots of choice no problem with sun beds, waiter service excellent ,if beeing picky should serve food at pool bar at lunch as rui monica do , need to replace towels in room 😀 and softer pillows 😀 but that's me being picky lovely hotel and definitely recommend in a lovely position if you like nice restaurant and nice bars 🍸 definitely return soon 😀

  Fabulous holiday

  Fabulous holiday due to the wonderful staff in all Areas of the hotel . Paloma, Naom , Salvatore, Ricardo, Andre, Ishmael,Daniel, Wilson, Diana, Ivan ,Pilar and Motze our cleaner . A huge mention to the restaurant staff and the amazing chefs who provided fantastic buffets . Apologies if we missed mentioning any other staff . The only area for improvement would be to implement the dress code for the evening meal as stated in the hotel policy - it really needs to be addressed to make the hotel perfect . Well done Riu Aracas !

  Middle aged couple wanting some downtime.

  Second visit for us. Couple in early sixties . Hotel location; immaculate - ground , well-cleaned rooms and approach to client service are faultless . Yes bathroom towels could do with a refresh but very small matter outweighed by all the positives . It is a quiet resort, no loud music or activities program so if you want that this is not for you . If you want some downtime in a beautiful hotel this is perfect.

  Absolutely love it .

  We visited the hotel for 10 days in September. Check in was very good with a very nice gentleman that explained all the ins and outs of the hotel perfectly. Check in is at 3 ,we were early but were let into our room (1069) because it was ready .Lovely room overlooking the entertainment area and the pool to our right.From our first day to our last we enjoyed everything about this hotel.The food is very good, everything you could want for breakfast and evening meal.The pool area is spotlessly clean due to the hard work the pool guys do in the early hours,which i saw from our balcony.I don't think many people see this so the guys don't get enough praise.The entertainment at night was good,Mercury Rising(queen tribute)and Angel(singer)in particular. The biggest asset at this hotel is the staff.Every single one of them were polite,helpful and greeted you everytime they saw you.A special mention to our cleaning lady,Diana ,who works hard with a smile and a good morning everyday. Another mention to the young man on reception(dark hair,glasses ,great sense of humour)who helped with our checkout,luggage and booking the curtasy room,which is also great .Spotlessly clean and with 2 showers which is good because your not waiting for one to have a shower before the other can go in.Supermarket just up the road that stocks everything youll need.All i can say is we enjoyed every minute of our holiday and it was definitely one of those where you don't want to go home.We will definitely be back.   A good week again albeit with a few gripes.

  Our third visit to this adult only hotel which we really enjoy. All the staff are excellent but we have to make special mention of Vera and Carmen on Reception who changed our room for us and we even received a letter of apology together with two gifts which was very thoughtful. Also must mention the two ladies in charge of the outdoor restaurant dining area, Jacqueline and Angela (?) who work tirelessly to ensure that everyone gets a table outside if they so wish. Food was good most nights although some dishes could have been hotter. We have to mention that it is disappointing to see that the hotel does not enforce the no shorts rule in the restaurant in the evening, despite this being advertised in the literature. It is not at all nice to sit next to someone who is wearing shorts t-shirts and baseball caps which they have been wearing all day. One of our main gripes was the sun bed situation around the pools. Most of the beds were reserved by 8am and then some people left them empty for hours while they went out. In fact, the day we left at 7.30am people were going down in the dark to place their towels. This is not acceptable and we feel the hotel should put in place systems to remove the towels placed before say 8.30 am unless being used, or put a system in place such as the Princess Inspire down the road where you prebook your bed for the day and time and location which you want. From friends who have stayed there, they say this works extremely well and there are no problems or issues. Seems somewhat drastic but it might be the way forward. All in all a very good holiday and we hope to return again soon .
