  Room basic but the amenities and service was first class!

  Nice stay. Room was outdated but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Maid service every day, towels and linen changed, couldn't fault it. 24 hour sports bar with snacks. Few swim up bars, one is right next to palm trees covered beach. Enough loungers for everyone and beach traders very polite not pushy at all, just say No, gracias and they'll go their way. Shallow beach, no rocks, so no water shoes needed. Riu Party was wild and part of the all inclusive with themed nights pools knee deep and foam guns with a lot of extravaganza. Easily the best hotel party I've been to with free drinks, snacks and slushees...Amazing stay! Absolute best value for money! 700 euro for a week stay for 2!

  First visit to Dominican Republic - outstanding experience!

  This was our first visit to Dominican Republic and we have chosen Riu Bambu as part of our TUI trip. Needless to say it was the best beach holiday we have ever been to (and we are travelling the world quite a lot)!! Firstly, the staff at Riu Bambu are absolutely amazing! They are energetic, positive, upbeat, helpful, smiley and always there to ensure we have a 5 star experience! If you are travelling with TUI, there is an exclusive beach/pool/bar area that offers a bit of intimacy and selection. The food is great and offers a variety of cuisine, and makes me specially happy as I am fussy when it comes to food and taste. In comparison to other all inclusive resorts, we are not having to queue for food or drinks at the bar - everything runs super smoothly. Activities - top of the pack! There is a specific calendar every night and the shows are not the usual tourist cheap events. They are classy, fun and entertaining. It also happened to have my 29th birthday whilst on the stay with the hotel and I have received a beautiful message from the Hotel Manager with a little goodie bag. I also had a live Feliz Cumpleanos celebration organised by the hotel staff - makes you feel a little extra special! Service - on the 2nd day here, I have found out there is an app that offers a wide range of services at a press of a button. I was able to order drinks to the room via the app, see the full activities calendar, report maintenance issues in the room etc. The room is cleaned everyday to high standards. The Air con is really good and faces the tropical heat. Seating at the pool or beach was not a problem at all - loads of spaces and beds to choose from. Music at the bar / beach really gives you the tropical vibe. I have read a few reviews saying that they only have music in Spanish which is true, however that should really not be a bother - this is what gives you the holiday vibe of the scenery! They organise a pool party with the other 2 Riu neighbouring hotels and we went on a Wednesday (the white party). Not really our taste as it was super busy and there were a lot of drunk young people. However, this is just a personal taste choice. Not for us. We've also had loads of activities booked outside the hotel and that was an amazing experience - easy to book, be picked up at the hotel and returned to the same place. I HAVE HAD THE BEST CHOCOLATE FOREST GATEAU CAKE EVER! Hat down to the chefs for allowing this experience! Honestly, Riu Bambu stole our hearts (and probably added a few pounds with that chocolate gateau – no regrets!). From the moment we arrived, it felt like paradise with personality – the staff, the vibes, the food, the sun – it was all just chef’s kiss. If you’re looking for a holiday that makes you feel special, pampered, and like you're in a tropical movie montage, this is it. We laughed, danced, relaxed, and probably I will cry a bit when it's time to leave. Already dreaming of coming back – highly, highly recommend!

  Outstanding Resort very happy 😊

  Last week of May memorial weekend we went to DR punta cana and stayed at Riu Bamboo 8 days and we had a fantastic week no regrets. We had 3 people and 2 rooms in 2 separate building very clean and had no issues with rooms. I would say fairly well stacked with water bottles and alcohol, beer, mini bar. The weather was fantastic sunny upper 80s and the ocean was okay due to seaweed season but no ones fault nature unfortunately. The workers clean it daily and tried there best. Overall the resort is clean from room service to property grounds. We had no issues at all. Everyone works very hard from bartenders to cleaning staff. One thing to note and point out is check in was slow unfortunately and there wasn't much people in line. Each couple took like 15 minutes to check in the line move so slow. Besides that everything was great and fabulous definitely a return in the future. The shows are great every night, the food variety is great and clean, we basically try everything from seafood to meats / steaks. Fruits are fresh served and everything was super 👌. The tour to the country side and Coco beans plantation by amstar was fantastic as well right on site at Riu Bamboo. I rate this Resort a full 10. Loungers and shade was always available throughout the property. Activities are great as well for couples and families throughout the resort. The party are fantastic and well packed.

  Great time...Great food...Great stay

  Had a great time here while celebrating my birthday...the food was great...the beach and the pools were great...no complaints here.

  Amazing !!!!!

  Please don't believe all the bad reviews. We went as a couple and loved every second of our holiday. All the staff were friendly, amazing and worked really hard. When we arrived check in was quick and easy as we checked in online. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, the air conditioning was a godsend. The food was really nice, you could never go hungry as there's plenty of restaurants to choose from so it doesn't matter how fussy you are. The steakhouse and Asian restaurants are definitely worth a go. The main pool and swim up bar was really busy everyday, so we decided to stay at the tui only guests pool and bar, which was lovely and peaceful and always got a sunbed. The riu app was really good for restocking the fridge or any maintenance issues, was resolved really quickly and notified on app when completed. We went to the white party, which was really good but once it was busy you waited a while to be served for drinks but that's to be expected . The entertainment of an evening could of had more variety, the karaoke could of been on for longer or more nights, the Michael Jackson tribute was really good. The shops on site were really expensive. We went on a day trip to Saona Island, through TUI , all I can say is STUNNING !!! . We were out all day from 7 till 7, our tour guide Obama was really lovely and made the trip fun, the boat crew were really fun and friendly too. The boat trip to the island was long but the views were amazing, the stop off in the natural pool was gorgeous. That clear Caribbean water was something else. When we got to the island, we were a bit disappointed with the food and drinks but that's the only downside. We had about 2 hours on the island just to chill or swim, then took a speedboat back to the coach. This was our first time to the Caribbean and I think we fell in love with the Dominican Republic and the people. I really hope we get to go back one day and we'd definitely would go back to this hotel.
