Resort is very small. Pools are the size of cruise ship pools. No way to do any activities in pool. To SMALL. The pool parties they brag about are not even on property. 2 days in wish I could get my money back brought the whole family. If you’re coming to Cancun stay at Iberostar resort. 100 times better and cheaper.

Loved this place- great food, entertainment and location. Friendly staff who always try to go above and beyond! Would definitely come back here

Great holiday but spoilt by stolen EarPods
Had an amazing stay, the rooms are very clean, however the staff that come into the rooms to clean/ fill up drinks can’t be trusted as I had my ear pods stolen from a bag on my bedside be carful if staying on the 9th floor which I where I was - I didn’t bother report it as I only noticed an hour before check out and its well known that reports of theft are not take seriously by management at Riu. On a positive note I wanted to shout out/ thank Betty from Guest services, Miguel from the bar pool, Poncho and Monica from the buffet, and Mary from lobby bar for being so friendly and attentive they made my experience great. The food was great with lots of choice with the Japanese restaurant being my favourite.

No Complaints Here!
Let's start with the staff!! Not one problem with staff. They went above and beyond with anything we asked of them. We generally go with treat people with respect, and you will get the same in return. Our room was just fine. Cleaned daily and resupplied when asked for extras in the fridge. We also leave a tip daily for the maids who clean. The area around the hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We would like to shout out to the staff down near the pool restrooms who work continually on keeping the floors mopped up from water from us swimmers. Restrooms were cleaned constantly. We would also like to give a shout to the staff at the buffet. Great Job!! Plenty of choices to pick from at the buffet. Scenery! Scenery! Scenery! The look out into the ocean was beautiful. Water was awesome as well!! I will admit that were a couple of times we may have heard some noise late at night but nothing for us to be upset about. Hell, people are there for a good time!! We sleep with ear plugs when out of town!! Also, close the extra door in your room to mitigate hallway noise! All in all, I would stay at another RIU if the price is right at time of booking!!

4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
