Dec 31, 2025Our Family Had a Great Time
Our family traveled to the Riu Dunamar December 22 through December 29, 2025. We have three children, 15 yo son, 11 yo daughter, and 9 yo son. The resort offered a nice variety of things to for these ages. The waterpark was very fun. The beach was nice and the pools, while busy, were fun. Don’t expect to get a chair by the pools if you go down after 9:00 am. While the resort indicates you shouldn’t reserve chairs, people do and you need to go early to secure a spot. That was the case while we were there. The food was much better than I expected for a family resort. We tried all the restaurants and liked the Asian the best, while all we thought were good. Overall a clean resort. Rooms were nice although where we were (rooms 4067 and 4066) the hallway was very loud, so when people were walking through at night returning to their rooms it may keep you awake. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. Staff was great. Overall a great place to take your family from our experience.

Dec 30, 2025Outstanding staff with a Few Drawbacks
The staff work incredibly hard, especially in the restaurants. They are super attentive, remember your order, and your glass is never empty. The service really stands out and makes the stay enjoyable. One downside is the location — anything outside the hotel takes a minimum of 30 minutes to reach, including convenience stores and local markets. Another negative is that the entertainment isn’t very inclusive for British or English-speaking guests. It can be difficult to participate as there is very little English translation, and activities seem to cater more towards locals, making the language barrier quite challenging at times.

Great stay
Had an awesome week at this resort with our family! We travelled with our 3 kids, their grandparents, and aunt and uncle. The food was great. Kids loved the waterslides. The pools were amazing and even though this was a busy week and we heard the resort was at capacity, there was always a lot of space at the pools and at the activities. We enjoyed everything they did for their Christmas celebration, the buffet on Christmas Eve was amazing. They had lots going on for the kids for the week. The drinks were great and overall the resort was very well maintained, clean, and easy to navigate. My only wish would be bigger beds and more options for food after dinner time! :)

The beds were very small. The food selection was just OK in the restaurants not a lot of restaurants to choose from although we did like the no reservations, but with that being said it required more buffets and lines. Resort was clean easy to get around. Beach access was wonderful. Service was very good also.

Wonderful Stay
We are a family of 5. 3 boys: ages 16, 18, 21. We had two rooms reserved and it was highly affordable.We loved the amenities, the view, the experience!!! However, we were expecting more in the gift shop: my boys always buy tshirts of where we travel, the shirts for men were all too big (my boys are cross country runners and are small/fit). There also wasn't any branding of RIU products...which surprised all of us. Other than that - the stay was perfect. Thank you! We'll definitely be visiting RIU resorts again.
