We stayed at the RUI Festival in Sept for 5 nights half board with my partner and daughter. A real mixed bag for me from this Hotel, as a seasoned traveller, I have stayed in Hotels from Japan to West Coast USA, to South Africa and all over Europe. So I have many experience to compare with and I have to say the RUI Festival was very average. The Good - Check in Staff were very good and friendly - Hotel is exceptionally clean and modern - The outside bar staff very superb, so friendly and helpful - everyday & evening - Dinner and Breakfast Food choice was large and good quality - Close to the beach and shops The Bad - Poor attitude of the older staff in the restaurant - When a complained to the manager dressed in Black, he was also very rude with a terrible attitude - Noise... Outside the hotel, noise from other hotels playing loud techno music and groups of young adults screaming and shouting. Inside the hotel, the walls are paper thin so you will hear your neighbours TV and every word said - Pool area is pretty small but all clean, however, groups of young adults playing in the pool throwing balls and also smoking weed. Life guard could see what was going on but did nothing. Pretty sure RUI's guest policy is, not allowing guests to smoke drugs at their hotels but this went on.

The reservation has been very good, and sincerly I only have one complain. The complain is not about the hotel "himself", but about the reservation center phone call. The situation is - reservation has been from 24-08-2025 to 30-08-2025; - after a couple days of confirmation of the reservation and since i have verified a good promotion price on that time, I have call the Riu reservation phone call; - I have request to add one more night and start not at 24.08.2025, but at 23.08.2025; - the information received and i refer "Riu not accept a reservation of only 1 night on this year period" After several calls trying to convince i not try to made a new reservation of 1 night, but add 1 nore night to the full reservation. Even by phone to hotel is impossible. This as indicated locally by the desk is normal procedure, and appear to be an instruction. So at the end, I cannot finish that new adjustment and add one more night, even if I do not have the promotion price. This process is very difficult, so the not perfect valuation is because this process and the time consuming to nothing. Something to solve ion the future

Aug 30, 2025Lovely repeat stay at this hotel
The hotel is lovely and quiet on a side street away from the main area of Playa de Palma yet very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel and outside areas are clean and the pool has plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. We returned here this year having had an excellent stay last year. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be returning!

Excellent location of the hotel, incredibly kind staff. The accommodation was peaceful, quiet and the room was nice and perfectly clean. Great breakfast and dinner. Definitely not my last stay at this hotel.

Never again
Spent the week on holiday at riu festival with my son with TUI. The hotel was nice and clean and the food was good but on our last day we had a late flight and being picked up at 22.40 but the hotel staff told us we needed to check out at 12.00 and and only provided us with the cold showers by the pool and a disabled toilets to change at the end of the day not ideal after a day in 30 degree temperatures. We were staying half board also and that evening we were told our evening meal before we left was not included and when talking to the front desk staff about were rude and unhelpful. I will not stay here again and after contacting TUI I’d be reluctant to use them as they were not interested.
