Anniversary vacation.
Loved the hotel, food, service was good . The place is very clean. The only reason that I would not go back is the mosquitoes are bad. I don’t think they spray for bugs. We got bitten very badly .

Mosquito Are Relentless
We recently stayed at RIU Latino and had a mixed experience. The resort itself is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the food was good. However, the mosquito situation was a significant problem and severely impacted our comfort. We were bitten relentlessly every single night, leading to uncomfortable, itchy rashes that made it hard to sleep and enjoy our days. It felt like there were no effective mosquito control measures in place during the evenings. We hope the management will invest in more robust and proactive solutions, like area-wide fogging or more mosquito traps. This is a serious comfort and health issue that needs addressing.

Be ready to suffer from MOSQUITOES!!
Mosquito Menace Overshadows the Stay ★★★☆☆ The resort is nice, but the mosquitoes are a massive problem. We were bitten all night, every night, leading to very uncomfortable rashes and a lack of sleep. It really affected our ability to enjoy the vacation. We saw very little evidence of effective mosquito control efforts. Until this is seriously addressed, be prepared with your own strong repellent and long clothing.

Anniversary Trip 30-40 yr old couple
Has potential to be better. Ive stayed at several mexico resorts and this was on the low end, so to anyone staying in mexico for the first time, there are so many better resorts. Pros: THE BEACH!!! This is main reason I booked this hotel and the beach itself did not disappoint. Clean rooms. Mostly friendly staff, decent drinks in lobby (velvet) from JESUS. The riu party was a good change of scenery. Cons: Check in: dont go through ISIS, she does not want to be there and gives misinformation and excluded details. The food ... Meh at best 6/10, breakfast was the best meal of the day. NO ROOM SERVICE!!!! IDK why no one is mentioning this but it’s an important detail that shouldn’t be left out! Limited beach amentities, no nice cabanas, or canopy beds, and bring someone to tip the attendance that hold the umbrellas hostage and bring them out once you find your seat. Disorganization with party shuttles, we decided to just uber there and ride the shuttle back, otherwise you’ll spend half your time waiting to get onto the buses and make sure you book a reservation. The waitlist is a joke. In summary there are so many better resorts in Mexico. I will say when I booked this I was looking for a deal, so I will bear that in my review and overall that’s why I gave it a three out of five otherwise it would’ve probably been a two.

Disappointing
Not a lot of good things to say. -Mosquitos are SWARMING everywhere at all times. Bring copious amounts of bug spray. -if you have any food allergies beware. I have celiac & there were very few options for me. I was constantly hungry to whole week. -pools close at 6pm for the night -out of our 3 rooms, 2 of them had non-working ac & 1 had a broken fridge, and a broken shower. -wifi sucks be careful when signing into it because it'll charge "premium" wifi to your bill without your knowledge
