#1 the hotel has German roaches, this is a hard no for me I’m sorry. I slept with my lights on remainder of the trip #2 on day 2 of my stay, I got dinner from the main hall, halfway through there is a huge fly cemented in my pasta, they immediately took the plate, I didn’t get a pic and while discussing with the chef, he is asking which part of the food the fly was, it doesn’t matter the point is that it was there dead, second hard no for me #3 compensation, two souvenirs and they changed our eating reservation to speciality restaurants for remainder of the trip (was a large group), last day we are booked for steakhouse. Some of our party was late to dinner. First we were unable to enter without members being present which I understand but if the restaurant has a cancellation policy after 15mins when you see a whole group waiting this should be your first communication. Supervisor on duty Travis who has no manners no empathy no customer service skills tells us after the 15mins he has to cancel the reservation. Don’t get me wrong I understand policies but communication is key and given the situation of what we went through in main dinning I expected a bit more empathy not a don’t carish arrogant one On the positive the low level of tactical staff are humble and nice, they are the ones that go above and beyond to make the experience a memorable one however I will never be back. Wasn’t worth my money

Having never visited Jamaica before, and reading some reviews before we went, I was a little bit anxious, but I can honestly say this was the best holiday we ever had, and can't wait to go back. The entertainment staff work so hard, and go out of their way to talk to people around the pool and make them welcome. The day time activities were great fun in the activity pool, but if you want something a bit quieter, you can always go round to the other pool which is very tranquil. And the foam party was brilliant! The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate and very well maintained. The food was great - the main buffet has so much choice, even for the fussiest eater in my opinion, as well as the other restaurants. We got a reservation for the steak house while we were there and was enjoyable. We also went to the asian restaurant which is a first come first served and this was also nice. We had a double room for me, my husband and 2 teenagers, which was well big enough and was cleaned daily and towels replaced daily. You also have your mini fridge re-stocked every 2 days with water, soft drinks and beer (as well as your optics on the wall of vodka, rum, gin and whiskey). This was great as we didn't have to buy any drinks to take with us when we were going on trips. What was also great was being able to get fresh pool towels each day. While were there we used RCM Tours (Rocky) and our driver Tyson for all our trips made the experience extra special! We visited Negril (Rick's Cafe), Kingston, 9 mile and Dunns River waterfalls (which is a must) during our holiday and I would definitely recommend RCM for any excursions you want to do. I would so come back to this hotel again and do more excursions that this beautiful country has to offer.

Jul 29, 2025Bare minimum bay: The all-inclusive experience you'll regret remembering
First the positives: Beach is nice and plenty of chairs and umbrellas. No cabanas on the beach. Water is nice and calm and very beautiful. Water park was fun for the kids. Bar service was excellent and friendly would be nice if they had servers to serve you at the pool and beach. Negatives: Food was mostly inedible even at the restaurants. Very hard to find anything I liked at all. Staff not super friendly and we tip very everyone very well. No wait servers around the pool or beach. No cabanas even to rent and sun can be brutal. Rooms and beds not super comfortable or nice. The hotel we stayed at next to airport in Chicago has nicer accommodations. Resort activities were lacking and or for partyers. The kid's club was a joke with no activities and limited times no babysitting offered either. Place needs a face lift inside and out and nicer staff.
