Brilliant holiday , hotel was fantastic can’t wait to return , staff was brilliant , food really good plenty of choice , very clean our room cleaner was lovely , entertainment fantastic beach beautiful

Fantastic Birthday Holiday
Hotel Riu Palace Bavaro was an amazing resort! Location, room, beach, staff were all great! We had read reviews that said the staff were not friendly or helpful but we found the oposite! They were really friendly and gave fantastic service (with or wihout tips). We saw some guests treating them with little respect, barking instructions at them and never saying please or thank you! I suspect thats why some experienced bad service The a la carte restaurants were a bit hit and miss! Weather was generally good! Rained but mainly at night, so not a big deal! The entertainment staff tried their best, but night time shows were mainly dancers, so no variety. Some nights had off site party nights (a bit like 18-30 booze frenzy if you like that sort of thing), but if you didnt go to them then the resort entertainment was very quiet! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel! Get it booked!

Visited as a family of 4 adults,did the pre check in online but still took over hlf hour even though it wasn't busy,guy seemed to want to help everyone whilst attending to us which after a delayed flight was quite annoying. Room was on 2nd floor of one of their villas,quite a few stairs and no lifts so if you have mobility issues state when booking. Room was lovely though,kept very clean and never had any issues at all,apart from having to ask twice for pop to be filled in fridge(done quicker if request via riu app rather than housekeeping). Pools wernt busy,kept clean.adult pool bars could be busy and alot of people smoking dope so not very pleasant. Beach lovely but sea not clear. Food was disappointing after being to other riu previously. Buffet not bad but nothing different. Lunch time food court had a variety of options but quite samey.Krystal was best alacarte. Italians was awful and not authentic at all. Sports bar lovely and cool but had a weird smell and older lady could do with some manners. (Need money for pool table as not free). Entertainment was poor. Michael Jackson show was best there.most of the 'bigger themed nights' we're held at riu next door which was a 10min walk away and not suitable for u18s. Roylton Bavaro is a much better and usually cheaper option imo.

Best Holiday ever
Thankyou so much to all the staff at the Riu Palace Bavaro, This was by far the best holiday of our lives and the holiday that only dreams are made of. We cannot find any faults as everything about the hotel it was absolutely amazing 5 star+ and our room 3129 was beautiful. The pools and the beach were wonderful and the food was delicious. Big shout out to all the waiters and waitresses who work so hard day in day out. Thankyou so much for giving us the Holiday of our lifetime. Best Wishes Mark & Rebecca Harris

Visited in Early November, the hotel was well looked after and had everything we needed for a 2 week holiday. We did not like the deserts in the restaurants but this this personal preference, we also disliked the evening entertainment as this was quite old school and not for younger audiences. However the Riu parties were great and we had a great time, we would highly recommend staying there.
