Not long back from another great holiday at the PRM . We were checking in at a friendly reception when Theresa arrived with 2 very welcome drinks (she remembered our usual from when we were there last October). We have stayed at this hotel for a number of years at various times of the year and always have a great time. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is very good in the buffet restaurant and the speciality restaurants are a nice change with the Italian being our favourite. There was always plenty to do around the hotel - Ricky and his entertainment team work hard and do a good job both during the day and in the evening. The staff in this hotel are exceptional and are what make this hotel special. We will name a few that looked after us very well. In the restaurant Estefan and Mendez, always had time for a friendly chat and a welcome. The waiting staff including Lorenzo, Carlos, Frank, Jose , Nico, Lydia, Chillo, Gustavo, Viana and just too many others to mention made every meal a very pleasurable experience. They excel in what they do! In the Daiquiri bar, Claudia and Nelsey pour a mean cocktail (or beer) and there is always plenty of life about the bar! And a big special thanks to Edwardo in the evening for looking after us during the evening entertainment. The only downside we found at this time of the year (but not at other times) was the seaweed. However the hotel staff worked diligently every morning to clear it away and it didn't stop us from spending every day on the beach! Would we go back - yes, we have already booked for next year!

Excellent hotel with well-appointed suites and great service. Worth repeating.
We have been to this hotel a few times and we loved the rooms, the amenities, the food, and the great staff everytime. The staff are kind and welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. We have been to bad hotels where we couldn't wait to get out and this is the opposite. The only complaint we have is that a few of the entertainment staff have a tendency of making jokes about people of Asian descent every time we have been here: "Come on people, we are speaking Spanish, English, French, German... We aren't speaking Chinese so wake up, hahaha!" They maybe jokes lost in translation but regardless they don't foster feelings of inclusivity. Other than that we love the place and the staff and plan on returning to this hotel.

Don't think twice!!!
The best best best place.... this was my first ever trip that I took outside of Florida by myself ever ever and I had an amazing time from transportation to the whole staff from beginning to end. Definitely will be going back soon!!! Make sure you ask for Rosario when u go to eat... he will take great care of you

The facilities are superb! Room was great and spacious. Full fridge with plenty of drinks. Variety of pools, bars and restaurants, all very good. And the staff was amazing! Not a single complaint on the resort facilities or services provided. Sadly, the beach was not good because of seaweed (due to the season). Otherwise, a perfect stay!

LOVE THE RIU RIVIERA MAYA HOTEL
I want to say that it was my 1st time at this hotel but it won't be the last time. I loved this hotel. The staff was beyond great, very friendly, the nightly shows were so nice. The guy that does the talking, he is so cool and made the night shows so much fun. Overall, everything was great.. I will be recommending this hotel with out a doubt.
