Jun 14, 2025AVOID AT ALL COSTS
DO NOT STAY HERE!! To begin with they do not have elevators so we had to walk up 48 steps to our room. There is no AC in the reception area. We also booked 2 doubles and when we got to the hotel they said ocean view ONLY has king beds. Our building also didn't have any ice machines. The area that separates reception/ restaurants is all open so if it's raining you have to trek out in the rain to eat and/or you deal with the heat. Rooms: Our TV was set to Spanish so we asked to have it changed. They said they would send technician but never did. Our AC in the room didn't work and the hotel kept gas lighting us and telling us they checked it and it was fine. We had it on for 24hrs and the temp didn't even drop one degree. One day they were supposed to come fix it and never did. When we asked why, they Blantaly LIED and said we had the do not disturb sign on the door when we know we did not. Members of our group who were in another room, had staff come into their rook WITHOUT knocking and removed their keycard (which activated the lights and fan) and said they had their fan on too long. Also our room had a window from the shower into where the bed is. You could see the silhouette of whomever was showering and you couldn't turn on the bathroom light at night because it would shine brightly into the room. FOOD: The food is edible but not great. Mostly buffet and it's all dried out. They had sushi out but not on ice. I honestly feel like the food made me sick. Also When we told staff at one of the restaurants that we have 12 people they gave us dirty looks and acted like it was a massive inconvenience. Shopping: The shops across from the hotel try to rip you off. Excursions: For our trip to Isla Mujeres they told us it was an hour drive to get on the boat for isla mujers but it was well over an hour and we had to stop at another resort. Told us we'd be back by 6pm but didn't get back until after 7. They also made it sound like the beach in the island included everything but we had to pay to rent chairs and an umbrella. They accidentally booked both our excursions for the same day and while the woman who made the mistake felt bad we weren't offered any compensation for the mistake. Instead we had to wait another 90mins to get picked up throwing our schedule for the day.

Lovely hotel, very clean, amazing staff especially all the pool bar staff & special mention for Angel who made breakfasts a joy. Great pools & plenty of sun loungers. Would highly recommend.

Excellent from maids to entertainment team
Beautiful hotel well set up, stunning room and Ana was thorough every day with a big beaming smile, Vicky and Anel were fantastic waitresses in the restaurant and the entertainment staff were none stop all day

Wonderful location, brilliant hotel
We had a wonderful 10 days here. The room was spotless and refreshed to a high standard daily- I can't praise housekeeping highly enough. The pools ( we didn't get around to using swim up- looked lively and fun) are lovely, sun beds and shade are plentiful and we never struggled for space. The whole vibe from all staff is warm and welcoming and they work so hard for the guests enjoyment. A few issues we had were our key card would randomly stop working, we were locked out at 3am after returning from coco bongo 😂 They explained they were switching to scan cards and maintenance came and changed locks. No problem. Our smoke alarm went off at 4am and they removed it which wasn't ideal but we got back to bed and they replaced next day, I was a little miffed at the time but these things happen.... we were in Mexico in a beautiful hotel so could be worse! Entertainment is good and you get to go to tequila for a change and their theme parties are great! A lot of people grumble about the food but we always found something nice to eat, I will agree some didn't look great so I just didn't choose that! It's typical all inclusive food- some was ok, some was good and some was great! I wasn't that keen on the Mexican but lots love it! I liked the steakhouse, Italian, pool lunch buffet and the main one. I also really enjoyed the barbecue stand by the pools. The beach is lovely with natural shade, always beds available and staff come around with drinks. We went on some amazing excursions.... love Mexico and love this hotel. It's a big world to explore but if I was going to repeat an experience I'd choose to return. A lot of people also bang on about the seaweed.... it's out of the anyone's control and they do clean it up. Get passed it and get into the sea- it's beautiful. If you choose this hotel- enjoy!
