Sep 12, 2025Not the best but just OK
We spent 3 nights here with the objective of chilling out after spending just over a full on week at both Disney and Universal. Upon arriving at the hotel we thought the lobby looked nice and was greeted by the reception staff. We were surprised that there was no offer from bellboys (don’t think they had any) to take our luggage to our room so we lugged them ourselves which wasn’t a problem. The room was ok but didn’t fit the vibe of the lobby, as it felt a bit dated but it did its job and provided us with a place to chill out. I just wished Somme of the nice features of the lobby could have been transported upstairs, from time we stepped out of the life into the walkway it was like a completely different place and not in a good way. We had a nice balcony with a nice sea view. The bad thing about the balcony though is that it is not private as there is no divide from your neighbours next door. The bathroom setup is a little strange with the double sinks sitting as soon as you enter the room from the main door. There was not a lock on the toilet door and our shower door seemed jammed at first but I then realised the rubber seal had been pushed too far in so I had to prize it open. The pool was nice and we used it a few times. The beach is only steps away and you can have a seat if you are quick enough, we found that these were taken most of the time so spent most time in the pool. You’re given cards to claim your towels nearby the pool and beach. One of the worst parts for me at this hotel was the food. We had breakfast included in our stay but I just found the breakfast not to my liking at all. The sausages seemed really fatty and I just couldn’t get into anything so I missed out a lot in that department. Staff were nice but found some of the guest staying here to be not very friendly. Not sure if I would stay again but it allowed us to chill out for a few days.

Riu Miami
Miami was beautiful and enjoyed the vacation. I have experienced excellent customer service in the Riu Mexican resorts, not so much at the Miami location.

We love staying at Riu hotels, we always receive great service, it is always clean and fresh; and serves tasty good food. But hotel needs more sun-beads on the beach. Also balcony was very slippery when wet. We had amazing time tho!

Great family resort
Great food,location and ocean front property. The hotel has a trolley/bus stop in front of it it. The staff are so accommodating and it's a clean hotel 😊. I will be back next year

Aug 11, 2025Don’t upgrade to the Deluxe Ocean View
When I arrived the computers were down, took 30 mins to check in and asked for proof of my booking, was really slow. Wasn’t told anything about the hotel and I had to ask Lucas when the times for food were. There was no help in getting our luggage to the room and it wasn’t even mentioned. I paid extra for an Ocean Deluxe View room at considerable expense and as I entered the room and looked out I saw the lobby roof, palm trees but no sea. It was a con, there were rooms where you would get a great view on the end or higher up but I was on the 4th floor. Room was basic, tired and needs a refurbishment. The restaurant did redeem the hotel a little as the food was good and staff were excellent. The pool was small and overcrowded but always seem able to get a sunbed. I complained to the manager about my room and was told I could have a higher room the next day but it had been ruined. Overall disappointing and won’t be coming back.
