Nov 25, 2025We enjoyed our time at Riu Santa Fe!
Lots of pools and bars which made it easy to try several of them and pick the ones you like the best to spend your time at! I was worried with a resort this big I would have to wait in a long line for everything which was not the case. Never waited at a restaurant except the Steak restaurant - but after checking on it one night we realize that you have to get in line early - we got there at 5:15 for a 5:30 opening and already quite a line. This was the best of the restaurants we went to. No reservations allowed at any of the restaurants. But really didn't need it. On the app you can request things. We asked for more pillows for the bed and certain things for the bar fridge. They were all there when we got back to our room! The view for our room in building 7 was amazing! I highly recommend that for location. Close to pools and beach! The pool bar service was good at the swim-up bars. They work hard! Shout out to Cal! Remembered our drink orders and works hard. Restaurants by the pools had good food - hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos, nachos, etc. Good for a quick bite. We went to the waterpark even though we didn't have children with us. My husband went down all of the slides and they were scary/fun! Riu Party - quite the party! We are in our mid fifties to early sixties and didn't get into the pool where the action was, but loved the people watching and the music! At least for 2 hours - then we were ready to move on! :) Lots of food there also which looked good! Other evening entertainment in the main area also good. Especially the small rock band that was there! Our favorite! Went into town/Marina area a couple of times. $6-$7 Uber ride. Almost all positive as far as our stay. Negatives would be the food was barely warm most of the time,, one elevator in building 7 never worked the entire week we were there and we had to wait quite awhile sometimes. We did the free transportation offered by the resort if you book direct with them. We had to wait an hour for the bus to fill up to leave for the resort. On the return to the airport, we were told 12:10 and a 16 passenger van would pick us up. 12:30 rolled around and there had not been a Destination Services van show up. There is NOBODY from the resort outside to help and we finally had a bus show up but they didn't have our names! Lucky the driver took us to the airport anyway. Next time, we will pay for a private shuttle. Employees nice and everyone works so very hard!

Awesome stay
We stayed at the RIU for 9 nights and everything was excellent. From the nightly performances at RIU Land to the RIU Parties, there was never a dull moment. The food was also great—there were many restaurant options, and the variety kept us from ever getting tired of the meals.

Great hotel for partying with friends!
They throw 4 pool parties every week and have a night club on resort, so all the drinks are free :) in addition there’s adults only pools at the front with bars for during the day! I had one of the nicer suites, but I found my back still hurt most mornings so the beds aren’t that comfortable. The service and friendliness of the staff is unmatched. The app is amazing as you can request everything you need right from there (water, towels, beer, etc) to your room. Food was delicious and there’s multiple different restaurants to try on the resort!

Great time
What a great time. Everyone was helpful and easy to communicate with. The food was good. The resort is clean and landscaping is meticulously kept. Beds are average and pillows are brutal but overall it was a 9.5/10. Would def come back.
