    Grate Hotel and fantastic holiday in Mexico

    Great Holiday to celebrate my 70th and hubbies retirement!

    Stayed at Riu Yucatan for 11 nights late May, early June. Room was clean and had plenty storage space. Bed huge and so clean & comfortable. Towels changed every day. Bed decorated for my 70th Birthday along with a bottle of tequila left. In room fridge states filled every 2 days, but not so. Asked at reception, not refilled. You must download Riu app and any requests are dealt with within a few minutes. We requested a quiet room and were given exactly that. Room 1503 looks onto grassy area and the quiet pool. We used the quiet pool most days, plenty sun beds with shades, no need to reserve. First time ever we have had a pool which was like going into a nice warm bath. Did not use the other pools as very busy, although we did watch the pool party. We did go to the beach a couple of times but preferred the quiet pool. Food was excellent in the main buffet restaurant and the Margarita restaurant. Only used Italian one lunchtime and the Mexican one evening and honestly preferred the Buffet restaurants. The service in them was excellent especially from Paula and Pedro. Drinks offered were very good. Entertainment was again very good especially the Rock Show, ABBA, and Freddy Mercury. We didn’t go to the White or Neon Parties., but heard they were excellent. We also didn’t visit the other two Riu Hotels we were able to access.Taxi from hotel into 5th Avenue 150 pesos each way. Loved seeing the animals that roamed the hotel grounds . Plenty designated spaces for Smokers. Would certainly recommend Hotel Riu Yucatan.

    Good location

    Hotel located in playacar, far from tulum and coba but closer to chcen itza, good location, great staff, food sellection is poor but tasty, great place for adult who like to party, not so great for kids as pools are not shaded, kids pool is tiny and not atractive for 6yo,, rooms a bit dated and shower with transparen door facing balcony door 🤯, overall i would say 3.5-4star max,
